Nice location, conformable and clean room. The breakfast has a very good variety of products and it is definitely better than the average breakfast in this type of hotel

During the breakfast I had to asked the waiter many times to not clean up the table and remove the plate because I was finishing the meal. I understand efficiency but I felt that I had to rush and go, even if my breakfast was on average very fast. During the booking I informed in advance that I had 2 cats with me and I was informed that was perfectly fine and only an additional fee applies. However during the check-in they said to me that actually cats are not allowed and I should close them in the bathroom to avoid them scratching the furniture. I find this unacceptable to inform about this upon the arrival and also the discrimination about different type of animals, if you are a pet friendly hotel this should not happened.

Short but pleasant weekend stay. I arrived early, hoping to drop the bag and ready to take a walk until check-in time, however got really lucky to be checked in at a glance. Managers at reception were so nice and polite, thanks for that! Room was very nice - good size, large and comfortable bed; closet with hangers, safe, iron and ironing desk. Mini fridge, small kettle and coffee+tea awaiting. Very solid size of bathroom; spacious shower cabin and rich volumes of toiletries. Very calm and quiet location, however, relatable public transport connection. Stable wi-fi. To summarize, I was more than satisified, tis was really good value for money.

Immaculate property in a quiet residential street with easy access to Hohenfelde and the colourful and lively St Georg. Central station is within walking distance, but may be a challenge with heavy luggage. Public transport nearby. Lovely room with safe, ‘fridge’ and air conditioning. Very comfortable bed and beautifully appointed bathroom with toiletries supplied. Excellent breakfasts with a fantastic choice in a very pleasant breakfast room. Professional, friendly and smart members of staff. Very near the Alster lake which is glorious for strolls.

Nothing really. The heat generated from the ‘fridge’ below the safe made the inside of the safe very warm for things like a camera or a tablet. A very minor criticism.

The usual quality of Crowne Plaza hotels. Everything was good and clean, with no major issues. I was positively surprised that we were able to check in significantly early. Surprisingly quiet location even with an open window in the room. U-bahn was closer than I expected, it was more only about 8-10 minutes of fast walking.

It was a bit surprising that the only rooms with bathtubs were rooms with twin beds, but it was no big deal. Also, it was a bit surprising that parts of the breakfast (fried eggs/omelet-making facility) were closed already 15 minutes before the breakfast ended. But that's more of a nitpicking, everything was almost perfect!

own parking garage with 2 charging points, nice in these cold days. Was able to charge most of the time and apart from these spots there was enough available. Easy driving out without individual payment, just on license plate. Even was offered free parking and charging due to the restoration of the hotel and some noise that was craeted by it. Very thoughtfull. Nice restaurant and bar.Food a bit on the expensive side but good quality. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice, cooks and staff readily available and also good quality.

THe only thing I noticed is that my room (522) had a lot of lost space, as in half of the room just floor with a chair on it and hardly any room in the closet for clothes.

The location. The breakfast selection is 5 stars! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the confort is 5 stars 🌟

Some of the staff (non-German born) were upset because I didn't speak Germann. I don't live in Germany, I'd have expected a 4 stars hotel to have staff who speak fluent English but I wasn't the case.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was really great with fantastic variety. The hotel is not quite in the city but the Outer Alster is a quick hop away if you want to go for a walk or jog and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Loved the quiet sitting area outside the hotel and wish they fixed it up more as not only smokers like to sit out in summer. The little convenience store was very practical, specially as a family.

It´s not the hotels fault, but there was a huge construction site that made it hard to get to the Alster and changed bus stations around which sent us on a big bus scavenger hunt. The breakfast can get very full and require a wait time sometimes.

Very neat and clean hotel, there are some snacks, drinks and sanitary products available 24/7 (at your own cost, but still great to always have something), the room seemed to get cleaned when we were out, even when we haven’t checked out yet. Very nice service! 😊

In the bathroom was a little note saying that to recude the use of water and heat, you could hang up your towel to let everyone know you would use it again. Towel on the floor meant ‘please wash it.’ We both hung our towels, but yet whenever we returned we noticed they were replaced with clean ones, which was a bit unnecessary, we would have used the same towel for 3 days without issues. This seemed a bit against their own policy😅But maybe it was a misunderstanding.

The breakfast had a good choice of continental and hot food, including an omelette station. The hotel has a small amount of parking to the front of the property. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help, with exception of the bar manager. The room was compact but clean and enough with a large double shower with a good view into Hamburg across the lake.

There wasn't too much to not like about the hotel. The one complaint was that guests generally smoked by the front door, when returning late they would congregate around the front door, after 1 am, and become a little raucous. Unfortunately they were not advised to quiet down or move inside - this went on in excess of 30 mins.

It is such a wonderful experience to meet welcoming people at the beginning of your stay. Joanna from the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. The rest of the front desk were very pleasant, helpful and beyond what I have expected. The breakfast staff were awesome especially Nils, with such a welcoming & warm smile to start your day on a super positive note. Thank you Crowne Plaza Hamburg for a pleasant stay.

The roads leading to the hotel were under construction. The hotel has no control over it but it did not affect our stay as the staff completely outweighed with their professionalism and welcoming attitude the mess on the roads leading to the hotel.
