The hotel is conveniently located just outside the U-Bahn station. Basic but clean rooms with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. I fell asleep in it faster than I do at home (and I never sleep well in hotels!)! No toiletries but a nice shower gel and a hair dryer were provided, and the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast consisted of different breads, pastries and some fruit. Like everything at Motel One, it was simple but very satisfactory, not to mention the friendly staff. I'll definitely be staying here again on next visit!

I have a thing about hair dryers at hotels. Even many 4-star hotels offer hair dryers that blow air but don't serve to dry let alone style hair. I'd have liked a slightly more powerful hair dryer in the rooms, or at least the option of borrowing one from reception.

the rooms are clean, good temperature, reception is nice, really there is no complaints, everything is smooth :)

For me compared to other hotels in the same price range it is strange that some comfort items are missing such as bath robe, slippers, body lotion. The rooms are also quite small, there is no wardrobe just shelves and hangers, which was enough, I have to say. My biggest issue is the breakfast, where I always miss the usual egg varieties (there is only soft boiled eggs, no scrabled and bacon etc.)

The staff was fluent in English, so communication was smooth, and they were all very nice. The room was small but great value for what we paid, everything was new and spotless, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Highly recommend it!

If you walk to the hotel from the train station is not a very nice walk, but the hotel itself is in a very safe and quiet area, close to a lovely neighborhood near Lange Reihe where many bars and restaurants are located.

Had a good breakfast. However, scramble eggs or fried eggs would have been good. But overall, the breakfast was pretty good. The staff was great.

Booking.com for your hotel listrd that you had air conditioning. I had to leave my window open, and bugs flew into my room. I was uncomfortable the first day after traveling. I was hot and tired. Also, it's not a big deal, but the TV didn't work. Also, the pump bottle for shower soap didn't work. I had to take the cap off, but staff kept putting it back on. I guess I didn't try the pump to see if there was an issue. I would be nice to be able to get a bucket of ice instead of just a glass. But I made it work.

The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable. The highlight though was the breakfast, which was amazing for a vegetarian! There was vegan cheese and cold cuts, vegan yogurt and even a coffee machine that made the coffees with oat milk. Location was good, only one stop from the central station.

The only thing I didn't like was that some of the staff was a bit unfriendly, which is unfortunately quite common in Germany. People in the reception were friendly, but I found some of the breakfast staff a bit rude. For example I asked for more soy milk since it had run out, and the reaction was like "don't bother me". Also, I lost one item at the breakfast and when I asked around for it, the reaction wasn't very friendly.

The place is modern, very clean, light, airy, and spacious! There is a garden area, too, with tables and deck chairs. The reception are and bar/ breakfast area are very modern and light, but become very warm and welcoming in the evening. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, without fail. The hotel is ideally-located, with an S-bahn (metro) station directly outside the door, and the main railway station an easy walk of ten minutes away.

We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as it always seemed to be so busy, and something of a rugby scrum, so we went to the baker over the road, which also has a pleasant cafe, or to one of the many local cafes, although it is worth pointing out, that these are largely Asian, so if that is not to your taste, then the hotel or the baker are the best options. There didn't appear to be WIFI in the bedrooms, which was a bit surprising these days.

We really enjoyed our stay at Motel One Alster. Everyone was super nice, the beds are really comfortable and the city could be discovered from here easily. The Rathaus is only a 20 mins walk from here. The garage worked really well, they have quite a lot spaces.

Actually there are not much that we did not like - we got surprised about the Steindamm street. It is definitely not the poshest street in town. But actually we enjoyed its multicultural buzz. But it is not everyone's cake. The opening button of the garage gate is a bit challenging to find - but that is all 🙃

Good hotel for value&money. It’s pretty close to the main train station-15 min by walk . On top of that you can find the bus 16 / metro station which is literally in front of the hotel and you can get to city center pretty quick and easy . We did not have a hotel breakfast but we enjoyed the cocktail bar at the evening . A lot places such as different restaurants/ shops are around

I can’t say it’s a big disadvantage but the hotel room is pretty small , for us it was absolutely fine as we went there for a sleeping only

It was a good hotel as I could work in the room wihout to be disturbed. Also, the room is cosy and easy to relax after some working time. I will recommend the hotel to everyone.

It is missing a plug for the laptop to be used when you work in the room. In fact, I had to remove the table nearby the plug of the wall, with 1 meter, in order to have the laptop connected. This is a real issue, as it should be a plug on the wall in the other side of the room (most of laptops can be used with the cable and if the plug is missing nearby the working table, that is a problem for the guest).

The coffee was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I'm gluten-free, and they went above and beyond to make sure I got gluten-free rolls as well. Good selection of cold cuts, cheese, fruit.

The breakfast was heavy on baked goods and bread, which is hard when you're gluten-free. It would have been nice to have some fish, it's Hamburg after all, or scrambled eggs maybe.
