The staff was very polite during check-in and provided us with all the necessary information. The apartment is spacious and equipped with everything needed for a few days' stay, including a fully stocked kitchen. On the same floor, there is also a room where you can get any necessary supplies, such as extra towels if needed. The temperature in the apartment was comfortable, even though it was relatively cold outside. The cleanliness was well maintained. The apartment is located about a 10-minute walk from public transportation (U1 and U3 lines), and there is a bakery, a café, and two restaurants nearby.

As mentioned in other reviews, the bed is a real issue when it comes to getting a good night's rest. Not only is the mattress quite uncomfortable, but it's definitely not suitable for two people.

Everything about the apartment was fine. The apartment was clean and easy to enter with self check in. They provide coffee pods and some other basics like salt and sugar in the little office downstairs. The apartment had decent space and was walkable to Lange Reihe where there are bars and restaurants. In the immediate area there's not that much though.

Unfortunately the room we had was right above the building entrance, so when people smoked cigarettes the smell would travel up into our room. We also heard voices and cars from the street in the night. The bathroom was fine but the shower pressure was just ok.

The flat was self catering which is my preference. The kitchen was good. I was welcomed by the manager Johanna who was extremely helpful and pleasant. She helped me with queries about the facilities and WIFI connections. Her help made the stay truly wonderful. In cold weather the hotel was warm, which suited me well.

All fittings in the hotel seemed to have been purchased on a lowest cost basis and were often less effective for it. The kitchen and bathroom lacked storage. For instance the shower had no place for soap or shampoo. There was one small shelf over the sink. Even for one person staying a single week. The kitchen had a cooker with burner controls built into the surface. They were difficult to see and use and dangerous in the event of a hot spill.

We had a great 3-night stay at Smartments Hamburg Aussenalster! The apartment was modern, quiet, and well-equipped — perfect for a comfortable city break. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the self-check-in process was smooth and convenient. The location was excellent — close to public transport, shops, and just a short walk to the Alster lake and city center. Only small thing to note: we missed having a few extra basics like salt/pepper or a sponge for the kitchen, but overall the place was cozy and practical.

Our apartement was quite spacious, clean, and bright. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom spacious, the bed was quite big for 2 of us and fortunatelly it didn't creaked. A family with a baby got the apartment next door, we saw their baby carriege on the corridor when we arrived. We were afraid of the baby would cry loudly, but the sound-proofing was perfect, we heard nothing. Bravo! We had a view to Hamburg on level 6, it was also great. We didn't make a breakfast by ourselves, but found some good places nearby the building to have it. We used the public transport, we had to walk just 7 min to closest underground station. What can I say? We really loved to spend four nights there. We would book there again next time.

There were no disturbing things.

The location. The spacious room and big bathroom. The room had lots of light and was very warm (actually a bit too warm, but I opened the windows and turned off the heat as soon as I arrived). The dining table/desk was great too.

I think it was a bit too warm inside the building, but I think that was due to the fact that it was chilly outside and the heat was on. I turned it off in my apartment and from then on it was perfect.

The facility was well maintained, easy to access. The location was some distance away from the riverside, good place to walk and enjoy the sceneries and boat ride. I enjoyed long walks, good spread of malls some distance too.

I found it difficult to recharge my phones because the wall sockets required a 2 pin adapter (would have been nice if the facility considers providing a 3 pin adapter especially for visitors from Non European countries)

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area 5 minutes walk from a bustling area of Hamburg. Restaurants cafés and shops are very close. The aparthotel was well equipped, and if we needed something it was easy to have it. We appreciated the quietness, the area and the well organized hotel (extra paper towel, towel, toilet paper, washing machine, dryer, kettle, etc.).

The auto check in (if the staff is not there) wasn't totally obvious but we managed.

The neighbourhood was very nice and quiet. It was relatively close to the city center (~ 20 minutes walking). The size of the apartment was perfect.

It was quite warm even though the air system was ' cooling' and it was not too warm outside. The pillows were too soft. The shower did not stand still and made it difficult to shower without holding it. The bathroom was huge but there was no place to hang the towels for example.

It was a great self service place that allowed us to do laundry and also store food from the store. Close enough to the central station and lots of places to eat and see.

The staff leaves at 4pm on Friday and there's nobody until Monday so the weekend is unattended. You can self check in and help yourself to items in the supply closet but would have been nice to have some for potential questions.
