The breakfast on the weekends is from 6 am to 1 pm. I have travelled to many countries and stayed at many hotels but never had a place which kept breakfast for 7 hours. The hotel staff are super friendly and always around if you (or you do not) need anything. They just magically appear when your coffee is over or you need the plate to be cleaned. Even the small rooms have a nice window and fully functioning AC. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is close to the Alster so a nice walk is possible just 5 mins from the hotel. The rooftop space is now only accessible to the hotel guests so that gives a nice cosy view of the Alster.

This is a minor issue but I would have preferred the lighting in the restaurant a little brighter.

Excellent stay! The staff is great, the facilities are up to a 4 star hotel standard and the service is perfect. We had a very relaxing time in the hotel, slept very well, had nice cocktails in the evening ( great amaretto sour by the way!) and all expectations were met. The hotel is 10 mins away from the city center, surrounded by small nice cafes and restaurants. It was a real pleasure to walk from the hotel to UBahn, SBahn, City Center, Porsche Center etc through a nice lovely small park.

It was a feel good experience from the booking procedure until check out. I booked a room as a precuation, while lying on a hospital bed across ten street shortly before midnight. The issue was not serious, so it was unsure if the room would be needed at all- I cancelled it and then went on and tried to revive the booking. Hotel staff was so helpful and the room so great, I was happy for my Asklepios Clinic experience: I would have missed such a great stay!!! The room was vast, with great furniture and all kinds of ameniities, large windows instead of walls and a great view. Breakfast was included and was delicious. The overall ratio quality-price was a win-win experience for me!

A nice location, a lot of cafes around while still a quiet area. Half an hour walk from the Rathaus. Very nice spatious and clean rooms with a good design. A balcony with an ashtray. Late breakfast, and the breakfast itself was very nice. A popular bar downstairs was also a pleasant feature.

Minor things, like same breakfast every day, too soft pillows and no door in the shower.

Very loud music in the bar made it impossible to enjoy a drink there. And the music was also very noisy two floors above in our room. A very energetic, singing and joking server in the restaurant late Friday when we arrived tired after a long journey and work day. Lack of social awareness of when and how to interact with customers is a negative.

The interior is lovely and the hotel is very quite. The area is just perfect for walks and strolls around the Alster, Buses just stop in front of the hotel, but you could walk towards the inner city or central station. There are plenty of Cafes and Restaurants around.

The quality of the attached Bar decreased, we had some bad experience with the behaviour of the service staff and the music ambiance is not matching the environment. The service and the music used to be much better. Anyhow the barkeepers will surprise with their skills if you are looking for exclusive Cocktails.

The room was really comfy and spacious, location was great, next to Außenalster, good for exploring Hamburg by foot. The rooftop terrace was nice, too.

Barcastraße is busy day and night, so if you like a very quiet room, maybe ask for a room away from the street.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast and nice rooms. Overall, the "english high class" - theme made this hotel very special. And the quiet and safe location was perfect for us, and we could reach everything easy by bus stop 50m away from the hotel.

Unfortunately, the rooftop-bar was closed during our stay. Would have been amazing to enjoy the view from there.

When our family travels through Hamburg, we always stay at the George. It is central but not right smack in the centre. And we can jog around the Alster, followed by a nice meal at La Casa Roma. The bar is nice. Parking is below and the hotel is dog friendly. What’s not to like.

The overly complicated check in terminals. Some “progress” is not progress at all…

Good service, nice attentive staff. Very good breakfast. Location in the St.. Georg quarter was great, very relaxed neighbourhood close to Lake Alster.

The interieur of the hotel was nice, but overall too dark for me. Bad lightning in the elevator.
