I've been to Appartment040 so many times I lost count. I love the place. It's situated perfectly next to Mundsburg towers, with a lot of parking facilities (free parking in the neighborhood and paid parking in Mundsburg). It's just a short walk to the Alster lake, where you can have a wonderful stroll alongside the lake. The facilities and the rooms are wonderful. It's quiet and silent. The rooms are outfitted very nicely for people staying a bit longer in Hamburg. You can make your own breakfast and dinner easily in the well equipped kitchen. The staff are very friendly and will always help you. Access after 21:00 is easy using the key boxes. If you are looking for an apartment, and not a hotel, then I highly recommend this place!

I really liked everything about this place. It’s very modern, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The room was equipped with a small kitchen that had all the necessary supplies. The staff was very friendly and even let me check in a bit early since the room was already ready. I especially loved the area. I've stayed in other districts in Hamburg, but this one is by far my favorite. It’s a beautiful neighborhood with charming houses, lots of greenery, and the lake is just a 5–10 minute walk away. There are also plenty of nice cafés and supermarkets nearby. Highly recommend!

I booked the place for my mother (an elderly woman). I particularly asked her for some feedback - he was extremely happy with the accommodation provided - everything was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Located in a quiet area. The communication with the hosts prior to arrival was excellent - they provided detailed instructions and even waited for my mother to arrive shortly after working hours in order the check her in, which was a very kind gesture.

Nothing to dislike

Very spacious and well equipped appartment in a calm area in Hamburg. It's not super central but still a nice area to live whilst in the city. Public transport is easily available (15min to Hamburg central). If you like walking it's 30min by foot to the train station. We would clearly recommend this place for your next Hamburg stay.

Unfortunately the guest before us did smoke in the apartment although smoking is forbidden. That left a not so nice welcoming smell in the room. A pity when some guest ignore such rules but the housekeeping staff did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible despite this little incident.

The apartment was located in a well maintained monumental building with high ceilings, a classical staircase and corridors. The lower floor is situated just above street level and the rooms at this level are less bright because of the high trees surrounding the building. We first booked a room at the lower floor (which was already very spacious) but we decided to stay a few days longer and booked an even bigger apartment on one of the higher floors of the same building for the next days. The higher rooms are immediately brighter and because the one we booked was at the corner of the building we had large windows on two sides. The building has a very cosy atmosphere which breathes peace. The adjacent apartments have kind of chic appearance and the neighbourhood is green and relatively quiet. Be aware: paid parking at the surrounding streets. The staff is easy-going in a very pleasant and helpful way and no effort is too much for them. Moving from the first to the second room went smoothly and seamlessly which was very convenient. We didn't have to store our luggage to overbridge the time between check-out and check-in because the second room was prepared and made available for us right-away, very nice!

I appreciated the location. The room and kitchenette were fine, but could have been a little better. Check-in was easy.

There was a microwave, but no convection oven. Also, no toasters were available. They really need to send someone down to the store to pick up a few toasters. The washers and dryers are controlled through an app, and to me this is a negative. The bed was a little firmer than I expected.

Decent studio; it's a bedroom, kitchen and sitting room all in one, plus an additional private bathroom (with a fantastic shower). Nice service from the people at reception, lovely area to be in (quiet and green)

I really dislike it when a kitchen is under equipped; no salt/pepper, only 2 coffee pods, only 1 frying pan, no extraction fan. Room wasn't cleaned either in the 4 night stay which is kind of weird for the money we've paid.

The place is safe and clean in a quiet street. It’s more an apartment house than a hotel. There is a concierge during the day. You can buy a very limited choice of snacks and drinks. The apartments have real kitchen amenities.

I have stayed a few times at this place and was always happy. This time however I was put into a stuffy room on the top floor with a low ceiling. It was really hot and there was no AC. The heat brought out the smell from the old carpet. I asked for a different room but nothing was available. A fan helped a bit. Sleeping with open window was noisy because of a construction site. For the experience I think the room was well overpriced.

The place was fantastic! It was extremely clean and modern. Our Appartement was very spacious. The location was excellent as well it took about 8 minutes to walk to the train station. 5 Minuten to the shopping centre and about 9 minutes to thw nearest lidl. The location also meant central Hamburg was about 5-10 minutes on the train.. It was so convenient! Getting in amd out of the building was super easy, Receptionists were helpful! I would certainly stay here again and have recommended it already!

The only thing I didn't like were the motion sensored lights in the bathroom. Especially at night if I just wanted to use the loo without turning the lights on.

We made a great choice with this place! We had to check in quite late, they made sure to provide us with a self check-in option - quick and easy. The apartment was easy to find, very close to the U bahn station, very clean and equipped with everything we needed, incl. kitchen utensils, we could’ve cooked if we felt like it. The neighbourhood is quiet, not too far from the city centre, about 40 minutes away by foot.

Small things, really - the pillows were way too big and uncomfortable to sleep on and there was no alternative provided; the heating system’s a bit weird, turn it up to 4 - it feels like it isn’t on at all, put it up to 5 and 15 minutes later the room’s a sauna 😁
