The location, the spa, the fitness / sports facilities makes this hotel a one of a kind to us. To live in the quiet area with cosy and great restaurants is really special. The mix of club and hotel guests makes a great atmosphere and it is like you become part of a local community. That the spa is textile free, also brings an element to the experience. There is a curtain vibe to the atmosphere, since people are not using clothes and that adds to the experience of something special as well. Maybe in DE people are used to it, but for outsiders its something out of the ordinary in a good way.

The bed frame extends into the room, and on several occasions my partner and I bumped our legs and feet onto them. This is inconvenient. The shower needs a shower curtain or a glass door, to eliminate watersplash onto the bathroom floor.

The spa facilities are absolutely fantastic value for what we paid for this trip. I used the spa every day but one of our stay and it was never overly full. As per other reviews this spa is textile free which is not something that british people are used to but this place has now ruined UK spas for me! I need to find textile free spas in UK as the experience is so much better. The staff were nice and helpful and the room was great. Comfy bed, quiet rooms. Location is a bit away from the city centre but this is a spa hotel so a bit further out allows space for the lovely grounds that the spa and sports facilities were in. We walked to the centre of Hamburg in around 30 mins which is fine for us but the Mundsburg U Bahn is only a ten minute walk away and there is a bus stop right outside. The surrounding area itself is nice and there are interesting shops and some very friendly pubs. We kept calling it the "Didsbury of Hamburg" for any readers who know Manchester!!

The spa facilities are awesome. The rooms are lush and very comfortable. House keeping staff were lovely and kind.

Bistro and front desk staff weren’t very helpful. I didn't learn about the access to facilities until the last day ofy stay which was annoying. The front desk is always very busy as it is a gym and a sports club. The smart TV didn't work in my room. Small things but they did impact my overall stay.

The location near bus and train routes made it very easy to travel around Hamburg. Room was extremely spacious comfortable and the facilities - which were free to use - brilliant. Despite our limited German, the staff were very helpful and supportive with our stay.

We did feel the breakfast was a little costly for what was provided; however, we did enjoy our meal.

Modern hotel with a sport center (open to non-guests), therefore great equipment from tennis courts to swimming pool, spa, restaurant, etc. Large modern rooms with all the facilities (kettle, minibar, safe, ironing board, hair dryer, etc). We choose this hotel for the spa center and we were not disappointed : two outdoor pools, one indoor (closed for repairs, but the other equipments made for the compensation), steam bath, 6 saunas, quiet room, large garden with transats for resting,. All fantastic. Note that the spa, like most of the times in Germany, is textile-free). Parking facility underground in the hotel. Bus stop direct to the city center is in front of the hotel, 20 min drive by bus or car. Tube station (to go to Reeperbahn street for instance) is 10 min walk, then 8 stops. The area is nery bourgeois, some ok restaurants nearby, the lake is 2 minutes away, nice stroll, including walking up to the city center (25 min walk). All perfect

20€ per night for the parking, I thought this was not justified, considering the space available and the price of the rooms. For the rest, all perfect. Would love to come back.

Room was nothing fancy but perfect to work in and comfortable. Location perfect for my business trip. The gym and spa is beyond first class, loved it.

The fact I paid more on Booking.com. Book direct, the hotel is cheaper booking direct. Booking.com customer service after proving a point was disgraceful. Poor service. The hotel is great.

Room was a great size - bathroom also reasonable. Good aircon/heating - and ability to open windows a huge plus. The location is a fresh walk into the centre of town - but the local area also has much to offer. I would recommend dining locally when possible - some fantastic family-run places.

Car parking is expensive at €20 per day. Also the Spa is a NAKED spa - no swimming costumes allowed. This is very normal for Germany, but for most other nations, is not a comfortable arrangement.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The facilities were great, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the spa and the room had everything we needed. It is easy to get into the City Centre, the train is a 10 minute walk but it is also possible to walk into the city by the lake which was amazing (Approx 45 minutes).

A fire alarm went off during our visit and we evacuated through the fire exit out the back. We had to jump over a gate/fence to get out of the grounds. It turned out to be a false alarm but could have been stressful for someone who was unable to climb.

Beautiful spa facilities, super helpful reception staff, and a pleasant location in an affluent Hamburg neighbourhood.

I would have appreciated a mini-bar in my room, and also the bathroom in my room was somewhat basic. For the standard of the place (and it really is beautiful) I would expect slightly more. Also, the hotel breakfast is very basic. I only sampled it on the first day and made other plans for the rest of my stay.

Clean and in quite good condition

Kids are not allowed to enter spa area. Only certain hours two times a week. I didn’t know it when I booked hotel. No drinks in spa area. I really miss a glass of cold hells after steam sauna.
