- most important for me, I found the room and hotel to be clean and comfortable. - the hotel offers a good breakfast. There’s a slightly older lady always busy and making sure everything is running smoothly and plates are tidied / cups refilled. - 4/5 mins stroll straight up on the same road is buchforst Waldecker Straße station and a number 3 train takes you direct to Lanx arena in a few mins. A couple of minutes further on that road is buchforst station which takes you direct to Cologne central station. So whilst you aren’t next to the cathedral/old city centre, the transit system is so easy to get anywhere from airport to any day trips. Tickets can be bought online and at stations and on trains and there are so many stations, you’re always close to atleast a few options to get around. - the candy and popcorn station is a really welcoming touch in the hotel lobby. - I liked the fact there are a couple of supermarkets next door for you to pop in and buy a few essentials. I also tried the one eatery nearby called Adana Grill which served me fresh and tasty Turkish food.

- The hotel is more tired looking than the pictures would like you to believe. - The hotels bar and restaurant being open seemed to be a bit hit and miss , it was fine for me as I ate out but not great if you are depending on this option. - whilst I don’t expect an over the top customer service style, the boys on reception can at least try and look a bit bothered and act a bit more helpful. They weren’t rude or anything like that , but it’s really not the best image you want to be portraying.

The ipad has an option to skip out on room service, to save resources. This is awesome! But I realized after doing this that I wouldn’t be getting any towels or bedsheets (we needed extra because we split the beds), and to request those should also be on the tablet. Our room came with 3 capsules for the coffee machine, our friend’s room didn’t have any, but she has a bag of candy? this seemed a little weird. Also the complimentary shampoo is nice, but maybe the hand soap should be different.

Salmon was a pleasant surprise and scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, falafels, bacon, baby brats, specialty fruits and jellies, plain and flavored yogurts with many fruits to put in. There were more breads than i could envision being needed. The typical dry sliced meats(yuck for me) good for y'all who like 'em. Turkish neighborhood had a good turkish restaurant(Adana Grill). plenty of food store/restaurants choices for walking. Bed was ok...hard for me ok for my frin. Staff smiled the whole time I attempted to get a different room but the different room AC system would not work so we went back to our original room. The room was silent on floor 6 and had a magnificent view of Koln. Sunset was a delight out our window: room #605.

Facilities were a little beat up.

Location is good for transport to cologne, parking is good. Rooms are a good size and bed is comfortable. Little extras like sweet trolley etc in reception is a lovely idea. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel like a sauna far too hot. Unfortunately staff were a little sparce at breakfast time in the restaurant. Not very informative of what was around, just took room number and no information given. Thought some of the breakfast didn't look appealing. Will say it was unusual as been several times and this was the first occasion it happened. Will still return though. Good value for money.

Able to check in earlier than time stated. Free car parking and plenty of room. Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Plenty of goodies available in reception from popcorn, sweets and coffee. Extremely comfortable beds with good air conditioning. Great bathroom with walk in shower. Fantastic swimming pool and sauna in the basement. Our second time in a Leonardo hotel, certainly won’t be our last. For value for money, can’t beat it.

Racking my brain, but I honestly can’t think of anything.

The breakfast was great, and the service was good. We enjoyed the pool. The pool was well maintained and open from very early until very late. Very nice. The hotel has a good vibe, with free coffee and snacks at the reception all day round.

The hotel carpets look dirty / damaged here and there. Maybe it is time for a face lift. Also, the hotel location is a little bit low end, with lots of litter on the streets in the area.

Breakfast was just fine. Nothing special but certainly okay. With the U-bahn (tickets in the machine IN the tram itself) You are in de citycenter in ten minutes. Also really nice is the Ethiopian restaurant nearby.

The hotel is from the seventies and you can see this. The indoor pool and sauna are really great but a little bit old. The hotel is not expensive, so it is still a hotel we should visit again.

Most of the reception staff were top notch. In particular I young man/ I think his name was Jeremy. Also the supervisor whom was of a gentleman from East Asian background. The other 2 young people on reception were passable but average.

On my last day I encountered what I suspected was a bit of borderline racism from the new Dinner room staff. Which I had to speak with the same supervisor about, as suspected they need equality, diversity and cultural inclusion training.

Breakfast variety and availability was GOOD and location was Very Convenient for the purpose of my TRIP. The mini GYM facility was CLEAN and furnished with basic NECESSITIES - Water, Towels Sanitizer etc.! The Main Lobby AMBIANCE was very GOOD with variety of SNACKS, including Fresh POPCORN always available.

I thought the Breakfast was included in the price but had to pay extra for them at checkout. Surprised! MOST ANNOYING: I couldn't stand the sight of the Bathroom FLOOR Never ever CLEANED enough to remove long HAIRS transferred or transported from other ROOMS by Cleaning equipment! And for the price, I expected basics like WASHCLOTH and LOTION! Also, there was language barrier trying to communicate with the Housekeeping Crew!

Lots of parking to the rear of the hotel, secure with enough room for our Luton vans. Rooms are a good size, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good, hot and a wide selection of choices. Staff were friendly at checkin/ departure and prepared our bill ready for an early checkout.

The hotel restaurant was closed for private functions for the whole of our stay, some warning of this prior to our arrival would have been useful. Although there are a number of choices within walking distance.
