Cleanliness, the facilities, the staff

The hotel members were not well informed about the green stickers for Umwelt Zone for the cars. When you book your hotel, via booking.com, you have to be aware and informed by them, that the hotel in is in Umwelt Zone. And It is mandatory for your car to have this green sticker. Otherwise, you are the subject for a fine.

Hotel is nice and convenient just a minute from chocolate museum , and walk distance from old town The hotel offers a fair deal that is to be commended. If you show info that you don't want the daily cleaning , you will get a voucher for a drink at the bar, per person per night. The parking under the bridge is cheap ( less than 6 euro) and is OK. The hotel parking is convenient but expensive, 26 euro per night.

One of the two rooms was very noisy, so was difficult to sleep on open window. The tram from the bridge was the issue. The hotel shall note the people arriving with no German register plate car (rental from other country or own vehicle ) to insure green sticker (is needed for all cars) . If the car is new you can take it from some petrol stations and from special car centers (technical exam points). The offer for breakfast is 25 Euro, that we consider to high.

The hotel is newly furnished, nice looking and clean. The staff is friendly. Room is quite big, has even a table for working.

We stayed there as a couple and booked one big bed, but it wasn’t a big bed, but two little beds with separate mattresses and small blankets. There were no slippers, but it’s not such a tragedy.

What I liked most was the location of the hotel (10 minutes by public transport from Köln Dom), its comfort and the helpful staff. The locker in the sauna created several problems (it closed and refused to open😂) it was in the evening. Despite the fact, that the technician was not on shift, the receptionist made every effort to help and as a result opened this locker, for which I thank him very much! without his efforts, I would have left the hotel without shoes and a phone. The coupon to the bar as an apology showed the high standard of the hotel and how much they value the comfort of guests

A standard hotel conveniently located near the city center, featuring quick check-in and comfortable rooms with all the essentials. During the winter holidays, guests can enjoy a small and cozy Christmas market just across the street.

The on-site parking lot, while conveniently located underneath the hotel, is not exclusively for hotel guests and is quite pricey. Even though the hotel advertises parking facilities, there’s no guarantee you’ll find a spot as the lot is small and more expensive than expected. A better option is to park under the bridge behind the hotel.

We liked the central location; easy walks to Schokolademuseum, along & across the Rhine, to shops in Severinstrasse and other attractions. Reception and housekeeping staff both friendly & attentive to out needs - we had to prolong our stay due to illness. Liked the breakfast buffet. Room was close to stairs and elevator & quiet with window closed.

This hotel is expensive compared to others we stayed in as was the breakfast. Bed was too hard and air-conditioning in room didn't respond to changes we made to temperature and fan speed. Without a door or curtain the shower spayed onto the shower mat.

A little bit further from the central train station. A little bit far from Tram. There are some bus stops nearby. Breakfast good. bed comfortable.

welcome water is a sparkling water. It will be nice if it was still water. But, you can not complain over something free! And 20 minutes walk from train station (train 132 and 133 was on detour due to construction from the train station).

Hotel was comfortable and is nicely positioned close to river and touristic centre, metro (with direct line to fair ground). Free jelly sweets in lobby was nice surprise.

We asked for a twin room many times before arrival, but they didn't reserve it and in the end, we got a double room. The receptor was compensating for this with a larger room so that we have to can forgive them :) Prices were costly due to EURO 2024 football. But that was the same in all hotels.

Great location, near Chocolate Museum and the promenade. Spacious room, big bed, we had everything we needed in the room, bathrobe, slippers, coffee, tea. The staff was very friendly, helped us in any matter, especially with the luggage, we dropped those at the reception. You have umbrellas to take from reception if it rains and some goodies from the house. We received a drink-voucher on a day.

On Saturday, the workers outside the hotel started they work at 9 in the morning but I don't think they could do something about this, we were just lucky :D But wasn't such a big issue.
