The location is ideal - right by the city centre for all amenities and short distance to public transport if needed. We went for Essen Spiel and Messe Essen was walkable in 40 minutes. Hotel was very nice, modern, spacious. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. They were very helpful in answering all our questions and queries. The rooms were clean and modern and nicely presented. The king sized bed is huge and comfortable. Heated radiators in the shower were a bonus. The breakfast is very good and a good spread. Nice ambience in the bar. Big bonus, if you hang the 'do not clean' sign outside the door you get a free drink voucher to use in the bar - excellent idea.

We liked everything!

I liked the location. The facilities were also very nice. In our family room there was enough space for adults and two kids. Room looked very well kept. It tends to be a bit noisy depending on where your room is located from the street. The breakfast was also good food and fresh. The staff was friendly i made request by emailing them and they honored them. It was also a short walk from the hotel to the Christmas market if you like to visit. Whe had a nice stay and the kids were also happy about it

The room had a bit of dust in some places. And the climate control temperature did not work well It was very hot in our room at night... at some point it got cold again and then hot again. We could not regulate the temperature from our room.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, and I want to specifically highlight the exceptional service provided by Obadah at the reception. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional from the moment I arrived. Not only did he make me feel immediately at home, but he also went above and beyond by upgrading my room. This thoughtful gesture truly made my stay even more special. Thank you so much, Obadah, for your outstanding hospitality. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I look forward to returning!

We had a great experience again. Big compliments for the Reception staff. If something was forgotten by the cleening, the staff of the Recepetion did fix it immediately. Please give Obada and the rest of the crew Reception our dearest compliments , they take the NH am Porscheplatz to a higher level. Also the service at the parking with QR is great

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was delightful. I was randomly chosen for an upgrade, which made my day! The prize chocolates were very rich and delicious! The room was very quiet, we didn't really hear any of the other guests which was a surprise, because normally we hear everything in hotels Breakfast buffet was great, my boyfriend ate a huge piece of apple cake with his breakfast so he was ecstatic.

Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean and lights were ok, but i will always miss more lights. Working light at table was fine. Garage is too small but we were early so we find a place to park the car. Rest of part of hotel were nice, clean with an industrial look that we like. Bathroom was very nice and everything was usefull. I found more light at bathroom than at bedroom. location is nice, just at downtown.

I will always miss more lights. i miss a reading light close to both sides of the bed. pillows were not confirtable. Matrass was too soft for my wife and me. Garage is too small but we were early so we find a place to park the car. I found more light at bathroom than at bedroom. location is nice, just in downtown.

Very satisfied with my visit to NH Essen. Helpful staff at the reception who immediately checked if they had space in the hotel garage for my car. Also when leaving offered to help with my luggage. Hotel room was clean as expected, everything perfect, AC working. Good location close to Essen shopping streets. Great stay, can really recommend!!

Absolutely nothing to complain about

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location central, multiple dining options. Parking at the hotel is secure.

The ac temperature settings wasn't optimal for the time of the year we visited. Which caused us to sleep with the windows open ( didn't help all the time). Outside can be quiet lively at night so an early night rest for a light sleeper would be impossible. Luckily we've slept through hurricanes so it was okay.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the bar downstairs open in the afternoon /evening. The location is really nice: city center. About 30min by taxi to the airport, 20min by train to Messe. Rooms are sound proof. Rooms look like they were presented on the advertisement pictures.

We had a stuck drain in the shower and we had to report it 3x to get it fixed. The whole bathroom got flooded at some point. Seems to be impossible to adjust ventilation: it was quite warm inside the room. Opening windows during the night is not an option due to the busy road just next to the hotel.

Excellent location on the edge of the city centre. We were very close for the Christmas markets which was the reason for our trip.

The layout of the room was very odd with a wall in the middle, the bed on one side and the desk on the other... plus two televisions. Was this meant to be for business travellers, because all it really did was make the room feel small (which is really wasn't) and awkward.
