The hotel was easy to find and not far from the metro opposite a police station. It was a quirky hotel with lots of interesting nooks to sit. Never saw the bar open in the reception area, but maybe that is because it is out of season. Breakfast room is on first floor and served plenty of breakfast options, eggs, bread, pastries, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, cereal and yoghut and a machine that serves tea/coffee 24/7. There is a coffee machine in your room but capsules cost 1 euro each. My room had a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with a shower, and plenty of hot water. Safe and record player in the room. Balcony was small but room for two to sit and enjoy the sun. On top of the hotel there is a hot table and sun loungers and a bar area again which wasn't open but that was because it was out of season. Water and fruit in reception. Staff were all lovely. You can choose not to have bedding and towels changed daily, which saves the environment. Quirky lighting in the room/bathroom. Curtains blocked all the outside light out adequately. A lot of reviews mention that it is a bit of a dodgy area but seriously it is no worse than any other city and if you stick to the main streets and don't walk round with a sign on your head saying tourist please harass me you will be absolutely fine. Public transport is cheap and efficient, but in all honesty, everything you would want to see as a tourist is within walking distance as long as you aren't in a rush. You do need to change metro lines to get from this hotel to the airport, but it is one change and easy to navigate the metro system.

We really liked the room—it was stylish, clean, and well-heated, with convenient electricity adapters. The bedding was cosy and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming. The hotel offered good value for money, with a decent breakfast, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. They accommodated our early check-in request and even arranged for breakfast to be served earlier, which we really appreciated. The location was also excellent, making it easy to explore the city. .

On the downside, the toilet door was slightly misaligned, which seemed to be a known issue. As a result, water tended to spread across the bathroom floor when showering. Additionally, we noticed that bathrobes, bottled water, and cutlery were not provided in the room, which would have been a nice touch (and clearly were included in the amenity list)

Property was nice. Clean and good facilities. The room was good sized and had everything we needed. The people were amazing though. The two ladies at the reception desk both helped me at different times when I had an issue with my boarding pass for my flight. They helped by calling and giving advice and everything they could to get my ticket sorted. All while being so kind and helping stay calm and even giving chocolates. I appreciate those ladies help so much. Would probably be stuck at Athens airport over night if they hadn’t been so helpful.

Located close to a Metro, and amazing front staff. The breakfast was also very good. There is a nice rooftop deck for lounging and a cute area downstairs for hanging out. The room had a small balcony and the places easy to find for check in. If you need to have your bags held, the front desk stuff is very accommodating.

The gym had minimal working equipment and the pool table was unusable. The property location is about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the main attractions.

Second stay at the hotel as part of the return trip back out from Athens after a cruise, so one night sleepover and it was as good as the first stay, I recommend this hotel for the location and ease of getting there and everything being within walking distance, such as the Forum and the Acropolis and the market

The shower floors design can do with a rethink they do get slippery when the shampoo and the water drained slowly in the bathroom, it's not a complaint but a suggestion to look at as the floor and the drainage as it was slow in this particular room

Extremely comfy mattress which is always a good thing for hotel stay. The staff were exceptional as well. Kindly supported us in changing our booking after an error in dates and offered us free breakfast on arrival which was very kind.

The location is a little away from centre in a slightly rougher area of the city. We didn't have any trouble at all and it's quite well connected to the rest of the city via metro (2 minutes walk) however it was a little uncomfortable at night.

Everything is good there. The room, interior, the color combination and the service. The amazing thing about of this hotel was the staff. We forgot our drone bag at the reception during checkout. When we reached to the airport we noticed our bag was missing. So we called the hotel and they book us a Uber to drop the package off and finally we got it. 10/10

I spent a delightful stay at the Dave Red Hotel in Athens with my partner in the beginning of December. The hotel was very nice, with comfortable rooms, a modern design, and clean amenities. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast, which was small but delicious and featured high-quality ingredients. The hotel staff was also generally polite and helpful. Overall, we had a very positive experience at the Dave Red Hotel and would recommend it to others.

The hotel is located near a metro station, which makes it easy to get around Athens. However, the area around the hotel is not the safest at night. I wouldn't recommend walking carefree alone after a certain time. Some of the staff, particularly the receptionists, seemed a bit distant. It would be nice if they could be more welcoming and approachable.

Very nice and stylish boutique hotel that is fun and comfortable. Very convenient to the train line to the airport and Acropolis .

The hotel is across the street from a police station which sounds fine except that groups of friends and family gather every morning awaiting the release of people who have been incarcerated overnight. People are released at noontime. In addition nearby groups of people are living on the streets. In our short stay of two nights we saw two people actively injecting drugs. We have lived in NYC for decades and we were not fearful for ourselves or our property. However these were very sad sights but very memorable. The police are active. We as well saw under cover cops strip search men on the sidewalk with their pants down to the thighs. All this adds a contemporary perspective in contrast to ancient Athens.

- staff amazing, caring and helpful, beginning with the receptionists to cleaners, super positive people open to chatting and sharing tips about bars, nightclubs, restaurants and attractions. -room clean with a smashing atmosphere, red lights, old fashioned phone and gramophone, after a few drinks this room brought me to 70'. -breakfast tasty, vegan, vegetarian, everyone could find something nice to eat. I tried the juice they offered and it was a cure for a hangover. You could also enjoy your food on the balcony. -roof top spectacular, relaxing jacuzzi as well as clean. I've been traveling solo for the first time and I really felt confident and safe during my stay, The staff advised me what part of the city to avoid to keep myself safe. I loved this place with all my heart.
