The room was very spacious and comfortable, and clean. Very tranquil environment, I was surrounded by trees, which was lovely! Everything was good. There were tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. The breakfast is outstanding! Really good, with lots of healthy options, boiled and scrambled eggs, and lots more.

The hotel is at the outskirts of Bussum on the way to Naarden. We needed a taxi to go to an event in Naarden, which was rather complicated to get, and needed to be booked well in advance via the reception. That made it a bit difficult to move around, apart from walking.

The hotel is easy to reach by road and there is generous free parking. The common areas are decorated to a high standard. The room was a good size with a decent view and beautiful bathroom (bath and shower). The bed was comfortable and there is a good sized TV with a large variety of stations in various languages. The restaurant was excellent; a bit expensive, but not unreasonably so. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant and there is a good little bar.

Both the air con and radiators seemed to have been shut off as an economy measure (in mid-April the day was warm but the evening got quite cool). We had to ask a couple of times & in the end were given a fan heater, which did warm the room, but not really what you expect given the price point of the hotel. The radiator did come on for about an hour in the morning so evidently there was nothing wrong with it. The fridge in the room didn't work, which was a pity. As stated in the description, the hotel is not within easy walking distance of the town centre, nor is there much by way of bars or cafes in the surrounding area, although there is a bus stop nearby.

Large and comfortable room, with plenty of desk space. Great shower. Free parking in safe location below hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.

Connecting door next to one bed meant there was no bedsite table there. Had I been there for work a desk chair would have been good, seeing there was so much desk space.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely leafy residential location, a short walk from the Naarden fortress. My room had everything I needed: a sash window that fully opened, giving fresh air from the garden; a kettle and fridge; a safe deposit box, both a bath and shower; comfy beds; large desk with lamp and a television with channels already loaded.

Breakfast was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable.

It is nearly impossible to get a taxi or Uber to pick up guests at the hotel. The staff called taxi after taxi and we were constantly let down. I think that a hotel of your standard (which is generally excellent) should have transportation facilities available. A number of the people I was with are in their 80s and it is not acceptable that they had to walk to the Naarden event(held at Comenius Museum in Kloosterstraat) or rely on the generosity of other conference attendees to pick them up in their own cars. Please do something about the transportation situation. Luckily, it did not rain during our three-night stay.

In the middle of the night, I discovered a problem with my phone charger. I rang reception, and within 5 minutes there was a knock on the door, and a smiling receptionist handed me one I could borrow. Saved me a LOT of problems.

It was all fine, except that the bathroom sink drained very slowly.

Perfectly located in the center of the country. Pleasant neighborhood, easy motorway access & free parking. Staff was super nice and helpful. We know the hotel from way back when we lived in the Netherlands. Lobby and restaurant very nicely renovated. However the rooms are still the same as 20 years ago, clean, functional but could do with a makeover. Great breakfast!

All good. Having a car is a must, as train station 20” walk (or rent a bike).

We had a great stay at NH Jan Tabak with our family. Staff is exceptional nice, rooms & beds very good, very good breakfast with wide choice, fresh & healthy assortment and on request delicious omelets. From the welcome drink to the smiles of the team we had a very welcome feeling Thanks a lot and see you next time in our visit to the Netherlands.

I think the quality of the staff is absolutely the best there is. Friendly, conversational and going all the way to make things work. Way better than any other hotel (even the exclusive ones).

Thoughtful service, nice brochure for dog's owners with walking routes, nearest veterinarians, and petshops, even pack of treats. 25€ fee for the stay. Great location, beautyful neighborhood, 20 min to Amsterdam city center by car. Comfortable, stylish, clean room with all you might need.

Would be awesome if you would be able to leave the dog in the room while strolling around the city. But anyway, it was a great stay.
