Food was absolutely amazing! Dinner buffet was different every day and there were so many options. Breakfast buffet was also fabulous (and had some sparkling wine to start the day...). Food was definitely a highlight for me. Service was great, too! Everyone was very helpful and polite and we had some compliments like pasteis de nata or chocolates when we cam back to the room every day.

One thing that I wasn't happy about was the fact you should still pay ~20 eur for sunbeds on the beach right in front of the hotel. And just generally (this is not for the hotel), Lagos is pretty shabby...

Both the breakfast and the dinner were outstanding. I had a little remark about washing the eggs and resor clams, but the staff had already fixed the problem by the end of my vacation. Plenty of seafood and even lobsters once a week. Water purification machines, that provide both still and sparkling water, were also a good bonus.

Selling tap water for the dinner is ridiculous and even offensive. If you sell water, it must be at least not a tap water. It is as ridiculous as selling fresh air. The staff on the grill sometimes has an irritating manner to insist on their ideas or traditions of grilling meat or fish, especially when you demand meat cooked medium-rear or rear. Anyway all these shortcomings are too unworthy to overcome the all and all perfect ambience we had in hotel. So thanks again for almost flawless service.

Iberostar is in a great location in Lagos, the hotel itself is very well maintained and the rooms were very comfortable (we stayed in pool view room) Ana and Edson made checking in very easy and even though we arrived at 10am for a 1500 check in we were very much looked after. Complimentary breakfast and full use of the pool facilities for the day. Karan by the pool bar was fantastic and he really brought brightness to our day. Each and every one of the star camp members Sophia, Katrina and Noemi really care about the kids and made the in house entertainment fun and enjoyable. The food was amazing fresh lots of choice throughly enjoyed, I also really like how the hotel has a focus on sustainability with water filters and can refill daily at your own leisure. Beautiful beach across the road and a lovely walk/ run along the boardwalk in Lagos (20-25min walk) our 5 year old did with us on a several occasions. We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lagos

The Spa jacuzzi was cold / steam room was average. Very minor things on the grand scheme of things

Stunning views, welcoming staff who were all lovely throughout. Great location, with easy access to transport, local beach and town.

No complaints. Always options available for vegetarian for half board, only thing id feedback on is perhaps having a few more protein options to go along vegetarian crusines such as tofu, soya and for main dishes egg plant bake (aubergine) is a quick and easy win rather than pasta and pizza everyday with veggies. Soup selection was great. Food was all very tasty just a few more options for vegetarian would make if more varied. Thank you all.

Good location. Easy to get to Lagos and even drove to portimao and ferrugado. Rooms are slightly larger than what the picture looks like. Pools are nice.

Buffet dinner lacked abit. Not enough variety. It was fine for us as we had a baby with us but for couples without a baby I would suggest eating in Lagos where there are some good restaurants. Also we paid for the buffet each night and they didn't make it clear we would get a better price if we just booked it via reception which was very annoying. Also they are stingy on coffee pods and don't replenish them which you'd expect for a 5 star hotel.

The food was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly attentive, providing service on par with a five-star establishment, truly enhancing the overall value of our stay. We also enjoyed a high-quality massage (we highly recommend Karen). The evening entertainment was delightful, with the elegant performances of Fado and traditional dancing standing out as our favorites. Sophia who was hosting the evening entertainments made everyone feel inclusive and welcomed and definitely made the evenings even more enjoyable.

We found it a bit strange that for 5 nights for 2 people we received only 4 coffee pods. The additional 4 pods were subject to a fee of (I think) €6. Not that the guests cannot afford it but it's really unusual and overpriced. I don't think it will cost the hotel much to add extra pods but will definitely look better. While we enjoyed the magic show, it was highly disturbing to watch the use of birds for magic tricks. It is really disappointing that the hotel that tries to be progressive, allows this.

Everything, it’s always incredible

Absolutely love the stay! The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the sea which we enjoyed from the balcony. The buffet breakfast was exceptional, the pools were clean and inviting with plenty of of loungers. The highlight is the exceptional staff be it Jason at the reception, Leanor and Lucia at the spa and Shalini in the kitchen. Definitely recommend the property.

We didn’t find the daily program inviting specially the kids club activities. Didn’t affect us much as our daughter enjoyed the pool and nearby beach!

Fantastic breakfast. The staff in the Star Camp were brilliant. Rooms very comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. All staff were very polite & professional.

The reception needs addressing. There’s no information about any activity in the area of Lagos - ie boat trips, bike hire etc. I think this is an area for improvement. I was directed to the internet to find out but nobody needs to be told to use the internet!!! I would assume they had deals in place with different places of attraction and activities.
