Perfectly located looking out onto the Marina and a short walk from the old town. The breakfast was excellent and encouraged us to book for dinner one evening and we were delighted that we did. Very stylish decor with an exceptionally attentive customer service team.

The crazy bathroom arrangement - the bathroom was part of the bedroom with only a flimsy curtain to divide. The toilet was in a ‘etched glass box’, though you could still see every movement! We go on many holidays, as a couple, with family and with family and their partners and there is no scenario where this arrangement would be seen in a positive light. I suspect that seeking any customer feedback prior to build was omitted.

The bathroom was in the same room as the bedroom and just separated by a thin curtain. The toilet was a frosted glass box basically and didn’t leave much to the imagination. There was not enough storage space either but it was a comfortable room. I didn’t enjoy the breakfast but I may have just picked the wrong things. The pancakes were flat and I also tried the French toast one day which was not great either. The other days I stuck to yogurt, fruit, granola and croissants which was very nice. My husband had poached eggs one day and they looked amazing.

Without exception, all staff were pleasant and helpful, giving the hotel a warm and welcoming feeling. We decided to change to a slightly bigger room which was done instantly, willingly and without fuss. We had a brilliant view of the marina and the busy footbridge across the river immediately in front of us. The whole hotel, especially the rooms, were spotlessly clean and beautifully made up every day. We liked the clean lines to the room and the enormous double bed. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of food, prepared to order. The dining room staff were marvellous - friendly and attentive. We had dinner in the hotel one night which proved an excellent gastronomic experience.

We tend to travel with too many clothes and like to hang them up! We were a little short of hanging space with a drop but it wasn't a major problem.

The breakfast is of exceptional quality, with so much choice, there's an extensive buffet and a menu also included. The items are locally sourced and exquisitely cooked. The standard room we had this time was a good size, comfy, clean, and had great decor. The location is wonderfully placed near the marina with a short walk into the town and to the beach.

We've often stayed here and love it but the prices have been creeping up. We worry we may be priced out of returning. Hotels nearby are not so expensive, but you pay for what you get!

The breakfast of lovely with a lot of variety. The hotel was right next to the bus stop and very close to the Marina ... which was our meeting point for all our tours anyway. Old town was also soo close by. The location was perfect actually. The room was lovely, very spacious and the view of the Marina from the window was also lovely. All in all, it was a lovely experience. Infact after we checked out, they have us a place to keep our luggage as our bus was leaving in the night. We went swimming that day as they let us use the pool facilities of the Hotel as well. Highly recommended.

Honestly nothing, we don't have any complaints with the property. Except maybe the bathroom. A simple curtain separates the bathroom from the room. But that was by design I guess. It might be a little inconvenient if you are traveling with friends. Perfect if you are traveling with your love interest.

The restaurant was international.It should add some authentic Portuguese dishes.I think they lose business to other restaurants due to this.

The hotel is a great overall experience! The location is perfect to get around the city and is also conveniently located to catch a taxi/uber anywhere you want to go! The staff at the hotel are professional and friendly--always ready to help you get a tour booked, give restaurant suggestions or answer any questions! We especially loved the breakfast and the service provided by the wonderful staff! However, our favorite spot was the bar...we enjoyed several late-night drinks, tried some awesome food, talked to the staff and other guests and just had a most enjoyable time! THANK YOU!

We booked a basic room at the back of the hotel which went beyond expectations, as upon arrival we discovered a veranda with 2 sunbeds and parasol which we found of great value and made a great first impression. Breakfast was fantastic and so were the team who looked after us. We loved the hotel decor and the beach vibe to this modern town hotel, set within a central location to the old town, but close to the beaches, and transport links.

The very best thing about this hotel is the breakfast! It is the best hotel breakfast I have had. The food is so fresh and made to order. The coffee was exceptional. Not the typical batch brew you usually get at a breakfast buffet. It was made fresh and there were several types of different coffee you could order. I would go back for the breakfast alone! The design and decoration of this property is beautiful. The location is excellent. It is very close to the old town. There is a local market behind the property which was open when we stayed there. It had food trucks outside and an amazing atmosphere inside. Well worth a visit. There are also several very good restaurants nearby. We didn’t get cocktails at this hotel, but came back one evening to people drinking cocktails in the lobby. They looked fantastic! If we were there for another night we definitely would have sat in the lobby for cocktails. We had a room at the back (city view, not facing the marina). Honestly I didn’t mind the view. And the best part is the balconies with a city view get more sun than the balconies at the front facing the marina. Our balcony had sun all afternoon/evening. The pool is lovely and a good temperature. It is a small area but ample seating around the pool for the size of the hotel. We didn’t use the pool often as there are so many beautiful beaches close to the hotel that we used instead. We came at the end of October and had fantastic weather!

The only thing I would change is the bottom sheet on the bed. It’s not a fitted sheet and moves around a lot. A fitted sheet is needed as sometimes this sheet exposes the mattress below with its movement. Super small issue, and would not stop me from returning. A coffee maker in the room would also be a welcome addition.

Beautiful setting, incredible breakfast (and dinner) and what a glorious pool area!! The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful, the dinner recommendations were absolutely spot on. We are extremely well every night of our stay!

Honestly, not much to say here - the pool is heated so it is probably a little on the warm side when it's a particularly hot day, especially if you want to cool off but not a major issue!
