I’ve stayed at Dom Pedro Lagos a few times now, and as always the location & facilities were excellent, although there did seem to be a problem in the bar!

The bar seemed to be out of stock of more & more supplies by the day. It’s not a terribly busy area in comparison to some hotels I’ve stayed in so not quite sure what the problem was. They were hosting football coverage which was good to see local people using the facilities, maybe they’d had better attendance than anticipated, but to not have the basics behind the bar for residents was a bit disappointing.

It was better than expected. Nice, simple room with an amazing view on the ocean from the balcony. Breakfast was very tasty and unlimited. Staff were helpful and friendly. It’s a nice and easy 20 min walk to old town. Beautiful, empty and wide beach just at the door step. Amazing for a morning run and swim in the ocean. Very quiet area.

If you like to sleep longer most likely you won’t be able to because of the birds that are nesting all over the hotel. It didn’t bother us as we wake up early but something to bear in mind. There isn’t any shop around in a walking distance which can be problematic.

The studio was very comfortable, great size for 2 or 3 people. I was alone so it was amazing. The terrace is algo big. The bed was comfortable and they gave me extra blankets as I requested. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I asked for a french press or something to make coffee and they had it ready for me at night.

The heater isn't strong enough to warm up the studio but it didn't affect me much (didn't pass cold at night with the blanket and duvet). Unfortunately the wifi didn't work on my old laptop, which I planned to use for work. This was really disappointing.

Dome Pedro feels like coming home to a family for a stay. The rooms are clean and offer flexibility to sleep up to 4 family members, bathroom, dining table for 4 and a kitchenette which is fully equipped to handle an easy meal prep should you want an extended family stay at a budget.

This was our second time staying at Dom Pedro and we notice the outdoor pool water is too cold to swim in late April and mid May (the only time we have holidays to visit) and it seems like we miss out on some fun. If the pool can get a water heater and a removable enclosure or a simple insulated cover to keep water slightly heated for the early vacationers, that be a great add on. The beds in the main bedroom are two single beds instead of a queen bed which is more comfortable.

The location is great. It's 5 minute walk to the beach. The bus stop is right outside the hotel(though we never used it). The pool is relaxing and clean, and there are a lot of lounge chairs. International TV channels. A few restaurants close by. The room is very spacious. The coffee is good.

The blond receptionist when we checked in. She was very sarcastic with all her replies. But all the other staff are very friendly and nice. The bedding. The blanket was very uncomfortable. The staff may want to check and refill soap dispenser in the lobby bathroom.

A wonderful boutique hotel, amazing staff, Catharina especially was so helpful with all the recommendations on how to get around and what to do! The breakfast was alright, but maybe it’s because we were there during the off season. Location is wonderful, close to the beach and the boardwalk, the pool area is divine. We will be coming back for sure!

The breakfast was alright, the yogurt was not good at all to eat together with the muesli, it should be a plain Greek yoghurt but it was a small packaged one. The coffee machine coffee wasn’t great, the machine seemed very weak and would give me a diluted coffee it seemed.

Everything! This hotel is superb! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, so very helpful. We are travelling so we only stayed one night but it has made such an impression we will return for a longer stay at Dom Pedro. The bed and bedding is so comfortable, the apartment had everything you would need and everything was spotlessly clean. The balcony and views are terrific. We had a great breakfast sitting on the sunny terrace and were treated to a pod of dolphins playing in the sea!!! Well done to all the staff for making this hotel exceptional. I had one the renovated, as requested studios facing the city and partial view of the beach which is across the road from the facility. The studio was very spacious with a bedroom elevated with two single beds together. Beyond the bedroom was a spacious room with the kitchenette, sofa bed, TV and dining table with four chairs. There was an open area with bar to the bedroom. There was large sliding glass doors opening to the balcony with table and three chairs with great views of the city and beach. All of the studios facing the beach have interior entrances which I understand have yet to be renovated but the others facing the city have outdoor entrances. There are six stories at the facility. From the street is a ramp to drive up to the parking area in the back; some spaces are covered spaces. I did not take breakfast which was Euro 12 but did take a look and it was a buffet type with scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, rolls and bread, juices, jams and a section with cold cuts of ham, turkey and cheeses. Staff was very friendly with a warm welcome. The location is just East of the nearby marina on Meia Praia beach which is very long and wide with elevated walking platforms. Easy location to the old town to the West. Best parking is at the Marina free parking lot and then taking the walking bridge over the river to the old town. Be sure to take a boat trip (kayak, speed boat or catamaran) to the Benagil sea caves. There are also fishing trips and dolphin trips.

There was no interior security door lock which is very important to have. There was no kitchen towel at the kitchenette so I had to use one of the bathroom hand towels. There were no facial tissues in the bathroom but did have a nice walk in shower with hand held sprayer.

The staff were outstanding, service across the board excellent, The rooms are spacious and comfortable with everything you need. The room, property & pool area is super clean. You have free parking with a lift in the building. The views from the pool area is beautiful and the location excellent. There is an supermarket 3 mins away offering everything you need to make your holiday so convenient. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the positive energy, we felt so welcome from check in to check out.

Very spacious studio twin w sofa bed, large bathroom and balcony w small kitchen area, surprisingly large altogether. Pool area v spacious w plenty of sun loungers , completely clean throughout our stay. Fabulous stretch of beach across the road, never overcrowded w a lifeguard. 20 minute walk to marina , 35 into town. Uber is 3.75€ to 4.40€ into town from the property...well worth the extra space.
