Convenient to the airport

Shuttle from the airport to the hotel was free but from the hotel to the airport was 10 francs per person. As an airport-vicinity hotel, I expected the shuttle to be free. Also, we showed up before the check-in time at 3 p.m. and we were told we had to wait until 3 p.m. However, we could get into the room early for another 40 francs! Sooo...rooms were available but early check-in was only possible by another payment. (Of course there was no discount for leaving at 6 in the morning even though we paid for the room until check-out time.... works both ways)

We stayed at the hotel for a very short time frame from 22:30 to 06:20. The reception were helpful and kind. The room was clean and tidy and the mini breakfast was wonderful. A very good service is the small restaurant operating all through the night.

The food at the restaurant was both very expensive and not that tasty. On the other hand we were tired in between flights and that's the best we could get. another thing is the shuttle from the hotel back to the airport. while the shuttle from the airport to the hotel is free of charge. The shuttle to the airport costs 10 CHF per person. we booked a shuttle for 06:20 and rushed in the morning not to miss it. eventually it did not leave on time but rather between 20 to 30 minutes later. waiting for more passengers. Had we known we could have had a brief shower and eat relaxed and not in a haste. Additionally one has to be at the terminal on time....

It looked modern and was very clean. The front desk staff, especially Pilar, were very friendly. The breakfast was good.

The only reason I’m rating this property with an 8 is because I understand that it’s abusive from them, that after charging a high rate for the room, they charge 10 Francs per person to take you in the shuttle to the airport. First time ever that I go to a holiday inn express in which they charge me for that service. I have been a client of this brand for decades, and never, ever, I have had to pay for the shuttle.

Breakfast was hot and hearty. It was well thought out nutritionally and there was lots to choose from. The shuttle bus to the airport was clean and always on time. The driver did the heavy lifting with luggage. Room size was perfectly adequate, clean and well designed. Lots of natural light. Black out curtains for day sleepers. Beds were comfy and room temperature was easily adjustable if or when needed. Shower was hot and water pressure good. Moveable shower head for different heights. Management could not have been kinder and more thoughtful. Always pleasant, they went out of their way to make our stay, while we were ill, as comfortable and stress free as possible. We are most appreciative of their efforts. All in all, we were thoroughly pleased with our stay at the Zurich Holiday Inn Express. Highly recommended !

There were no problems. None at all. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.

We stayed here for one night during an extended flight layover. The room was fine for that purpose. The space was quiet and very clean and the front desk staff was friendly. The hotel is a short walk from a nearby train station that we were able to use for a quick trip downtown before our flight.

Space was tight in both the bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was extremely average and was mostly composed of cold dishes. While the hotel advertises a "free shuttle," this shuttle is only free on arrival to the hotel and requires an additional payment for use to return to the airport.

Very close to the airport and only a 5 minute walk to the train station where it is a 15 minute ride to town, lets you off right at the old town. Comfortable bed with 2 choices of pillows (thank goodness!) and a nice fluffy comforter. Decent amount of room, was able to fit 2 ski bags without tripping over them. Very good breakfast with cheese and cold cuts, raw vegetables , baked eggs and hard boiled eggs, beans and cooked vegetables. Different flavor yogurt, cereals, breads and pastries.

Clean and modern design hotel with ideal location for short layover in Zurich. Hotel is near to the train station going into the city or the airport.

In room TV channel selection is very poor. Overcrowded restaurant during breakfast. Lack of staffing and lack of food selection. Front desk staffs are not friendly at all.

Great breakfast. Good facilities. Free welcome drinks and snacks. Relatively close to the airport. The room was very spacious, seemed recent, was fashionable, was very clean. There's always someone at the reception and the staff was vey kind and helpful. The bed was had a firm queen size mattress, which is to my liking. A great stay.

The most important thing missing was a gym. The room also didn't have a fridge. The wifi is not encrypted. The trip to the airport is ok, but could be better. I think even with this shortcomings this place is still great.

The property is 10 minutes by shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttle service was prompt and comfortable. The hotel looked new, well managed, and had everything one needs for a one night stay. The receptionists were very pleasant, and check in took just a minute or two. The room was very convient and as depicted in the photos. We would rate the room 10 out of 10. Everything was modern and up to date. The room smelled fresh and was very clean. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Everything we ate was fresh, and food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much.
