The hotel took a bit of finding but that could be because our satnav is about 4 years out of date! There is, however, plenty of free parking all around the hotel and there's a lift from the pavement to reception for taking luggage in as there are steps to the front door. The reception staff were reasonably friendly and the room was a decent size with a balcony and a view of the river. The room was typically Sercotel (a bit like a higher standard Premier Inn) with standard lay-outs and furnishings. The bed and pillows were good and the aircon was also good, which was definitely a bonus during the heatwave.

We didn't realise that it was the Feria de San Juan during our stay, which meant that nothing was open. Even the majority of bars were closed during the day although more opened in the evening. There were also a number of beggars hanging around the hotel, which I assume was what a couple of previous reviews were alluding to when they mentioned it being in a down-market area. I can't say we were particularly enthralled with Badajoz as a whole but that might be because we didn't see it at its best. It's not somewhere we would return to in a hurry.

One week before, I tried to call the hotel several times. No answer. I also sent the hotel an email. No answer. I wanted to know if the hotel would stay open even if our bus from Lisboa arrived late at 1 am. I didn't dare to reserve the bedroom because I was not sure of being able to enter at this late time. Finally when I got a reply, the prices have raised a lot! 163 euro per night. We have friends who stayed in the same hotel at the same time and payed the half of what I payed.

Location is perfect for central Badajoz. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms with superb terrace and views depending on room choice. Good wifi.

Very little. A little noisy some evenings because of events. No food option or bar open during the day. Although you can order meals out to be delivered. Bar does not open until 8pm in the evening so although great seating area in reception area nothing to eat or drink available. No slippers

The staff was helpfull most of the times and acceptable, tolerant of us. The city is a wonderfull footwallk location, everything is at 15 minutes distance or less. It was not pricy and we could see most of the city in 5 days, there's plenty to experience and live there and the Hotel was on the perfect location to be our "home" base. Despite looking conservative it is a very tolerant and gay friendly city.

The gym was too small and not well equipped. The room-service options were short. Small mini-fridge. Majority of the commerce closes too early. There was no Uber for when we were carrying to much bags.

I noticed two great points during my stay: 1. The floor of the room was extremely clean. I stayed with my baby, so I wiped the floor just to be sure, but there was no dust at all. I was very satisfied. 2. The hotel has a private parking space that costs €15 per night, which is quite affordable. Plus, there’s free parking available in front of the hotel. This hotel is very car-friendly.

Hotel staff were lovely and the room was a good size. The balcony was nice and there was a good view of the park opposite and the river. It was close to several bars and restaurants. It was a comfortable place to stay.

The doors needed to be slammed when closing them, which was noisy when neighbours came in late. We had the misfortune to be next to people who came in at 2:15 am and went out onto the adjoining balcony to talk loudly. However I place the blame on the people, not the hotel.

We stayed only for one night on a Sunday when most places were closed as part of a longer road trip. The rooms were comfortable and water hot. Food very good. Can't comment on location as we arrived lateish and left very early before breakfast

The eating area was not very inspiring being really part of a reception area. The dining room was closed off.

As we were told, this is an important transit hub between Spain and Portugal :) We were really surprised by this class of hotel after a long journey. You find yourself in an oasis in the middle of a cute old town. Excellent service, despite the workload they arranged for us to have a family room with an opening interior door. Very helpful staff - we were provided with cutlery and boiling water at night to feed the children. Underground Parking. Basically everything you need before the final push to Portugal.

Not very good sound insulation - in the morning you could hear your neighbors in the bathroom

Very good room: good size, comfortable beds and an excellent shower. Our continental breakfast was fairly standard for a 4* hotel. Staff were really helpful - we wanted to charge our EV at one of the Tesla chargers in the secure underground garage but someone had parked their diesel car in one of the spaces. The receptionist worked out who it was and asked him to move it for us (which he did). €15 to park and charge was exceptional value. We were also able to leave the car in the garage the following morning while we walked round Badajoz.

Everything!! It is a beautiful, comfortable and well located hotel. The room was very clean! The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast… was the best!!! Variety of fruits, juices, breads… the yogurt was delicious. There was something for every taste. If I am around the area again. I am definitely staying in there.
