The hotel was right on a quiet, beautiful beach. The breakfast buffet was lovely, with lots of tasty options. The restaurant had the most delicious Thai green curry. The staff were wonderful. Lots of things to do at the resort. I loved my time at Amari.

The hotel was stunning, but I must admit, the swimming pool was a little small. But it didn't matter too much with the beach on your doorstep. The pillows could've also been more comfortable! I also thought the restaurant was great, but a bit pricey for Thailand. The hotel offered 10% off your dining and spa bill, but this is before the service tax, so it meant you didn't save anything. Perhaps more water activities could've been available?

The food in the restaurant wasn’t great for the evening meal. It was probably the worst meal we had in Thailand. It was bland, particularly the curry (and the naan bread was just horrible) and very over priced for what it was. Despite this being quite an expensive hotel there still weren’t enough sun loungers for the guests. In fact we even witnessed an argument as a couple had come and removed another families towels and stuff from the sun lounger and they only been away for about 20 minutes.

We stayed in this hotel for one week week, they accommodated us in a villa with a private pool, an outdoor shower and a bath. We were supposed to have one bedroom but they upgraded us to a two bedroom villa. So we had plenty of space. They refilled our water bottles every day. However, if you needed one, you could ask for another one and they would refill it for you free of charge. The cleaning was perfect, the service, the massages we can't complain.

The only downside was the location of the hotel, which was about 500m as the crow flies from the quarry, so you could see huge cargo ships going out and in and it didn't evoke the exotic atmosphere we were expecting. The sea was definitely not crystal clear.

We requested a six seater table for meals so our group could eat together. The breakfast room staff refused, said "it was not allowed" and would not allow us to push two tables together. We asked the staff in reception to intervene, and it still was not done until the last morning. very disappointing.

I’m a smoker and I understand the hotel is a no smoking zone I completely understand that I wouldn’t want to stay in a room where people could smoke But you could have a cigarette outside the hotel lobby and down by the beach next to the bar. Which was in a terrible location, you had to step off the decking surrounding the bar which was a big drop down onto a very unlevel surface made up of rocks which were quite sharp and very easy to twist your ankle, I actually cut my foot on one occasion. Walking past neighbouring hotels you could see smoking areas with seating and undercover. I know smoking is looked down on these days but people still smoke so to have nicer area to sit or stand would be good

The hotel was fantastic, beach was exceptionally beautiful and our villa was superb. Very spacious and stylish, as well as very private. The Christmas Eve event was excellent with fireshow, and good entertainment. Very boutique in feel and breakfast was high quality and delicious. We spent time in our private pool and at the beach bar, which was affordable and food excellent. Truly a remarkable stay.

No convenience store nearby or beach bars, but we knew this beforehand. It was the perfect place to spend family Christmas together and relax.

The hotel is in a quiet location on Tubkaek Beach with beautiful views across the sea. Excellent food and staff with rooms around the well kept gardens. Lots of steps around the hotel so may not suit people with walking difficulties. Tour desk in hotel for excursions. Staff couldn't be more friendly. It's around 15 mins in a taxi to the big resort of Ao Nang for lots of shops and restaurants.

Could do with a free shuttle to Ao Nang for shops and restaurants as in a very quiet area. Taxis available outside though. Lots of steps so may not suit infirm walkers. All in all a lovely hotel in a quiet area.

Fantastic resort on the Tubkaek beach. Great for families. Very good breakfast, lots of variation and something for most palates. Rooms were great, not spotless, but clean and nicely decorated. General high quality throughout. Expensive food and drinks in beach bar and beach restaurant, but not something that should surprise really.

A bit away from everything. Not s problem, but nearby Khlong Mueng is not really a great place to walk around looking for restaurants as an alternative to the expensive restaurants along Tubkaek beach.

too many steps - maybe they can construct a small funicular like the banyan tress has done (next door hotel) or use electric golf carts? rake the beach clean more often... have more umbrellas on the sand open the coffee bar and the beach restaurant all day a little bit too far away from the village and towns need a mini market inside, and a self laundry and drying room
