I'm continually impressed with the improvements this property is making. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Security is much better which certainly keeps folks from raising a ruckus and/or loitering. It was also refreshing to walk outside and not be overcome with that "earthy" smell that is becoming so prevalent in society today. I was also glad to see the front desk staff working to ensure guest safety. I'm extremely pleased with this property and it has regained its title as our "go-to" place every time we visit Jacksonville.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. If I could offer one opportunity for further improvement, I would recommend that the management team walk through every unit and test everything: shower, sink, toilet, A/C, etc. as if they were going to sleep in that room. This isn't to say that anything was inoperable or intolerable. Fixtures may still work, but with diminished performance. For example, the shower control is hard to turn, shower head may not allow adequate pressure, toilet valve may stick and constantly run, and the like. I only suggest this as pre-emptive inspection as opposed to waiting until a guest complains about something.

Employees very friendly and efficient. The pool was a really nice size and alot of seating area.The room was large and I loved the full length mirror.Alot of counter space for your toiletries.

We ate dinner in the restaurant there and was not informed of a service fee and a 13% gratuity was added to the check and we added an additional 20% and that ended up a 33% tip had I know ahead of time I would have added an additional 7% and call it a day.We thought that was very deceitful and underhanded.I don't mind tipping at all but the guest should be aware it's added.I did learn a lesson from all this I will get my bill before paying the bill.

This property is winning us back! It was our favorite place to stay when visiting Jax, but had started to decline in many ways. WELCOME CHANGES! Management and staff definitely made a 180 for the better. The property was clean, staff were friendly, and there was tighter control on the "coming and going" of folks. Not only were there no people loitering, but we observed security on the premises ensuring safety of the guests. The improvements are much needed and definitely the right direction to win us back. This property might retake its place as our favorite spot in Jax. Keep it up!

Only gripe I had was with shower water pressure and temperature. The shower head definitely needed to be replaced and the water temp barely got over luke warm. After about 10 minutes, I felt bad about wasting water and just suffered through.

Location was great and easy to get to.

It's obvious they are doing some renovations. But the reno is definitely not finished. Our bathroom door couldn't close all the way and the trim along the window sill was falling off. The biggest complaint would be the quality of the a/c system. It doesn't pull enough of the humidity out of the room. It's muggy and the floor throughout the room remains visibly damp unless you crank the temp way down. Housekeeping could use some improvements as well. Simple things were overlooked; wiping down the mirrors and the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned at all and coffee grounds from the previous occupant were still in the maker.

Check in and check out was very convenient. You just leave your keys after checking out online. The staff were very friendly and they always had housekeepers available for you to ask for replacement items. They have a pool.

It’s nonsmoking so no available rooms to smoke in. You have to smoke outside. The tubs don’t drain very well. If you want an other night you have to go down to do it instead of the convenience of them using your payment information in the system.

I always keep the room that I'm pleased with. They always have it available when I need it. The staff are very refriendly and polite

I only had a small one. It was when I was one night on the first floor and I guess it had to do with maybe a lot of kids from the pool or something but it was real loud in the hallway, but other than that, I never had any problems

Location & pool

I was told to park in the back, but the door was blocked off so we had to walk around the whole building with all our luggage. Staff was rude, not only to guests but to each other. The only nice one was a younger girl who answered the phone when I called before arriving, & when I checked in. The older lady working with her was degrading her and talked superior to her for no reason. I didn’t like that!

Property was great I always stay here when I'm in town! Staff is nice. Hotel is clean. And its convenient from all of my favorite places to go.

The rear entrance door did not work after 9pm even if you had a key so you have to walk around the building to get in. And this was my first time having a room on 1st floor, it was very noisy so I would not prefer 1st floor again!

I like the friendly staff at check in. They were most accommodating as asked for a couple additional coffee pods. They were most helpful with parking. The room was clean and I enjoyed a nice night's sleep in the well made bed. The hotel was convenient to the place I was visiting. I had a good experience with a one night stay.

Everything was acceptable.

Staff friendly, the cleanliness was superior! Only complaint was loudness from other guests. It was Memorial Day weekend and everyone was having a great time!!

Some of the guest , especially those next to us, you could hear their conversations and recap of there night on the town. The vibe was a celebration!!! Not to much of a big deal
