My husband and I enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful. A different variety each day. We didn't realize that the hotel didn't have an elevator, only stairs. My husband has a bad knee, so they were able to get us a room on the main floor. We were scheduled to stay for eight nights, but we had to go home early for work. After a few phone calls we were able to get the room credited back for the eighth night.

What I didn't like was being over charged for the room. The room was supposed to be $149 per night plus tax, approx. $164.19 per night. We were charged the correct amount that I was quoted for the first four nights, 6/29, 6/30, 7/1 and 7/2/25. However, on 7/3/25, we were charged $197.25 ($179 per night plus tax), and on both 7/4 and 7/5/25, were each $208.27($189 per night plus tax. Basically, what it comes down to is we should have been charged $1149.33 and were charged $1270.55. The amount I believe that we were over charged is $121.22.

Our room was ready earlier than expected. Hot tub was wonderful after a day of traveling. Room was clean and good size so we could have friends stop by before dinner. Walk to Mexican restaurant right by property. Small downtown but lots to explore and a nice mix of restaurants and bars. Great history to learn.

Disappointed in breakfast. Set up needs to be rethought. Waffle making station right next to one hot container holding sausage, egg and bacon causing crowding in that area. Each item should have its own container so guests can move along as they help themselves. Also we asked about shuttle to town center and a little confusion as to whether there was one or not. We got Lyft back and forth $20-$30 each way but there were 4 of us.

Breakfast was good. The sausage patties were burnt, but the bacon and sausage links were well done and tasty. The scrambled eggs were done well and waffle maker was excellent. Would’ve liked a larger variety of fruit. Breakfast more than my expectations.

Nothing comes to mind very pleased with to stay. The bed was comfortable the room had a nice window cover covers which we could open and get sunlight very appreciate. Coffee unit in the room was was great and the amount of coffee and the breakfast was even better.

Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff VERY HELPFUL, I had a rollaway bed request and gentleman that delivered it to our room as very nice. Pool area kept very neat, clean. Overall nice experience except our room faced highway, don't want that area next visit for sure!

Room we got faced highway and elevators currently not working. Too hard to lug our suit cases and items up any stairs so we opted for room on 1st floor that faced highway. Not the quiet location by far,

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice friendly, helpful staff. The room was quite large, and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was also very good. Location was good for us but maybe too far out of Placerville for others. Mexican restaurant next door was extremely handy. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Free car parking was a great bonus.

Very helpful staff. Needed a specific configuration for my uncle, they were extremely helpful. Comfortable rooms and conveniently located for our needs.

One time I stayed, I had a room next to what sounded like the room with the pool pumps. Not a great room. Every other stay the rooms and services were great.

Hot eggs were good . Choices good

Key cards failed repeatedly. Room 240 near doorway was noisy. Housekeeping staff apparently “fluffs out” the box of tissues. That’s disgusting; please stop pulling out a clump of tissue to make it look like ??? You don’t need to be handling the Kleenex. That is unsanitary!!!

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Breakfast was OK.. the coffee machine decided to break a couple times. The yogurt machine was a sad display, unfortunately. Other than that, it was comfortable, and the location was directly off the freeway making it very convenient. Didn’t get a chance to test the pool out, but it looked nice. 3 1/2 stars out of five. I recommend.

The beds were comfortable. The room was spacious. We had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was good and the pool was clean and relaxing.

On the Booking.com website it showed 3 different prices for a room with 2 queens. I chose the highest priced room, thinking I would get a nicer room, maybe with a sliding door to the pool or something like that. When I got to the hotel, I was given the same room that I could've gotten had I chosen the cheapest room. We were on the bottom floor. I had to walk up and down the stairs to get to the ground floor. That was disappointing. If I had known, I would've booked the cheapest room with 2 queen beds.

There is a team member there named Anthony who is exceptionally good to all of the guests. He went beyond the call of duty to assist guests numerous times from my observations during my stay.

Too much noise in the hallway outside my door during sleep hours.
