I really liked this place. Happened to stay with them on Superbowl night, and watched the game armed with pizza from a local delivery shop. The front desk was manned by seasoned staff who knew the property and the area. I used the indoor pool before the game, and bounced between the laundry room and lobby during stoppage time – it was the final day of a 3-week trip for me and the washer and dryer were as good as the ones at home. There’s something nice about these cavernous 1980s hotels where space abounds but the equipment is modern and the clientele includes the conviviality of banquets and offsites but in a non-intrusive way. The Clarion has a large parking lot and the pretty cool “feng shui” of sidling the Chemung River abreast a lovely local park both of which are only ½ mile away from downtown. In short, you get the best of many things and you get it at an affordable and unpretentious way – I would not hesitate to stay again.

I really have no complaints -- there were 3 different desk clerks on duty during Superbowl night and each was friendly and most helpful when I had a query (where I could get takeaway pizza, where the best barber was in town for following day) or a request (quarters for the washer, a replacement key card after I demagnetized mine via cellphone).

The location was not as convenient to amenities that I would have preferred, but the price outweighed that.

Honestly, the only thing that was a downside, was just that the vending machines were not all working, and there weren't a lot of places right around the hotel to go to instead.

Location. Pillows and sheets were very soft. I wish I could have purchased them. (Please consider offering site for that.) My room was clean. Staff very polite.

Carpeting in the hallway needs replacing. Looked stained. Wish coffee had been available when I arrived after 4 pm. Bottled water? Lighting in the lounge was too bright.

Betting was very comfortable. Location was very close to what we needed it for and it definitely served the purpose.

The tub was filling up as I was showering and it was filled up over my feet. The whole time I was in the shower that is really my only complaint.

The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, vending machine at the lobby helps for emergency need

is housekeeping supposed to come on 3rd day of my stay as stated on the card in the room ? this is not a complaint as i was doing fine during my entire stay without the cleaning and i brought my own toiletries.

Staff was so pleasant and welcoming. Pool was exceptionally cared for . Restraurant and front desk personnel very accommodating and friendly.

Fullsize beds too small for adults.

Neat, clean, quiet (didn’t hear any neighbors, clean and large indoor pool, really really comfy bed! Huge shower. Very nice staff.

Ice machine was empty as was the soda machine. But that was the only disappointment.

Breakfast was great and all staff i came in contact with was pleasant and helpful.

Restaurant wasn't open Saturday evening and they forgot to notify the hotel. The TV selections were not very child friendly.

The person on the front desk was very nice. She even gave us 'doggy' gift bags for our boys with milk bones, poo bags and a list of parks that allow dogs. There was plenty of grass for the dogs to relieve themselves. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. On check out we got a 'to go' breakfast bag with muffins, Nutribar, banana and bottle of water. It being Easter their restaurant was closed. I think that was very considerate!

While the bathroom seemed clean there was a towel hanging on the back of the door on the hook. Was it used? All the other towels were nicely folded and where you would usually find them.

The hotel is conveniently located to explore the area. It was comfortable and clean. Good for the money. Breakfast wasn't included, but available. Would recommend

Breakfast is more country and less continental . But, prices right. Didn't like the taste of the coffee the hotel offers. Need to carr your own.
