The hotel was perfectly peaceful. It was really clean and pleasant. The room was large and spacious. The area was secured by the hotel with an additional door lock to protect against potential threats.

Unfortunately, I have been using this chain for over a dozen years and I must admit that the breakfast was very modest and not everything was replenished. I asked the waiter for scrambled eggs - I could see that he was clearly unhappy and, on top of that, I was charged twice for breakfast, which I had already paid for when I made the reservation.

We are non-native speakers, but the front desk staff tried to answer our questions in poor English sincerely. We were very grateful.

Basically there is nothing bad about it. If I had to forcefully find something, I would say that it was confusing for foreign tourists to pay the deposit at check-in because they are not used to it. If possible, it would be very helpful if they could provide an paper of the explanation. The staff were sincere and I did not feel they were trying to make us pay extra money, so in the end I was happy to pay it.

The beds were great and the room was large. The pool was quite enjoyable and the lobby was beautiful.

Having to pay extra for parking is just greedy and wrong. The food at both resturants was not very good and not worth the cost. The menus are greatly lacking. No fridge in the rooms is inconvenient. And the elevators have a large jerk when they stop and the doors close way to fast. I paid extra for a very narrow balcony only to hear the trains all niggt. Would have been nuce to have known that.

Extremely friendly staff, reception and shop available at all times of the day and night. The room was comfortable and had all the facilities I needed. Although I did notice that you could also request extra things like fans or refrigerators if you needed them and they would deliver them to your room. The breakfast and the bar where you can get dinner is all. Again, very friendly the staff and good quality food. Public transport links are very close by with a buses and trams to the center of town and various other parts of Portland very close by, and anything else you might need you can find in the shopping center which is the next building over so it is very well placed for that as well.

While I do understand there is a safety aspect to it, the fact that the windows in the rooms went up openable at all but completely understandable given the age of the building I suppose.

It would be a small , but big consideration if a bench were in place alongside of the edge of the plantings at the main entrance. This would give those elders whom I saw a place to sit and wait for their transportation . A courtesy that would surely be helpful and appreciated ! What was concerning was the Emergency Exit Alarm. In my case, I had to Exit the stairs from the 7 th floor. At no time did I hear an all Clear announcement during my descent. Others said that they were on the 10 th floor and heard it when they had descended 3 flights of stairs. Just not sure why, but was glad the issue ( as was rumored to be as a gas leak ) was resolved quickly and safely!

The room was very clean the bathroom was nice and modern and the shower pressure was great. Perfect size room for how long we stayed and definitely a nice room to stay, I almost wanted to extend for more nights but we had other things to do.

The front desk person was rude to my boyfriend and acted like he wasn’t staying there when he had lost his key card. He told me about this interaction later when he came up to the room , said she was pretty rude.

The room was very spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable. We had a nice view. The hotel itself is very nice, We felt like we were in our own little world which was nice given that the area itself was very dangerous, we couldn't walk one block without issues, we had to call 911 three times in the span of a couple hours but that is just Portland. The bar area was really nice an the staff was super helpful and friendly.

We had an alarm go off at midnight and then the speaker stayed on crackling for about an hour, I tried about 20 times to call the front desk and got no answer. The next day, I was curious about room service and tried to call the front desk about 20 times and no answer. This was a little frustrating, especially with the alarm because it kept us up the entire time the speaker was crackling and we couldn't get it to shut off. I felt like given the amount we paid for the room there should have been some accommodation made for us.

We liked that there were amenities inside, food, coffee, and a shop. We also felt safe and comfortable parking there. Train is right next to us so we could get to the city really easily!

This room was expensive for the size, had bad pillows, and uncomfortable bed. Also… we brought food with us but there wasn’t a fridge. My fault for not checking, but for that price it needs a fridge… For a non smoking property there was entirely way too much smoking.

Great location next to MAX light rail. Good parking arrangement in secure garage. They let me check in early so I could catch a matinee in downtown. My room was small but very comfortable...like a european hotel room. Staff was friendly.

It took a while to figure out the elevator: lighting in the elevator is low and you have to scan your room key to make it go. It took me a long time and the light on my phone to discern procedure.

Close to the event we were going to, it was pretty decent for the night. Very large room more than enough space.

Was charged for parking, then reimbursed but wasn't told anything about it. For check out the keys were put in a Dropbox in the parking garage and org. I had left them in the room, so it took a little longer than expected. Both issues were really more an inconvenience due to communication.
