Cool vintage design, high ceilings. Very good and extremely plentiful breakfast – one helping was enough for two people. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get from/to airport. Several (but expensive) restaurant options in the hotel complex, but there are also local authentic restaurants nearby.

The hotel could have been more responsive and helpful in communications before our stay through the Booking.com messaging system and though email. Also during the stay we struggled a little to understand each other, but in the end everything worked out well. A bit of noise from the restaurant patio at night, but not too bad. Note that the free airport shuttle mentioned on the Booking.com page is no longer offered, but you can get a taxi to the airport for about 70 LE and it only takes 10–20 minutes.

There is lots to like about this historic location. The reception and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean, very comfortable, well appointed, and well serviced. The bed is especially comfortable. The oriental breakfast is ample and tasty. The juices and food at the restaurants are great. The laundry service was quick and excellent. The location is also very good: in historic Heliopolis, with nice restaurants a short walk away, not far from the Metro, and relatively close to the airport.

It can get noisy late in the evening due to the restaurants in the courtyard but the white noise of the AC balances it out.

A wonderful room in an historic home. Breakfast was good, a choice of either American ( pastries & omelette etc) or oriental ( Egyptian) Omelette and falafels etc). The best thing was the coffee shop on the premises which served great oat milk flat whites. We had an overnight sleeper and arrived early in the morning and they allowed us into our rooms earlier than 1pm which was really lovely. Helpful staff.

I did not get any e mails or messages back from the hotel when I messaged them a day before. The number provided was not answered either. Apparently they did not receive my messages, e mails or phone calls. It was fine when we arrived however.

I love Heliopolis Cairo, the area has great shopping, restaurants and architecture. The hotel is a renovated historic mansion, it is well furnished and charming. My room and bathroom were large and comfortable. There are only about ten rooms and there are several good restaurants in the hotel. Also many in walking distance. For those that are light sleepers, bring earplugs because on some nights there is music and singing until about 1am in some of the restaurants. This was not a problem for me, I found it delightful and I had no problem sleeping, The staff are very professional and the atmosphere is relaxing. I especially loved dining in the inner courtyard in the evening. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Metro station and from there about 25 minutes by train to Downtown. The area is very walkable. It is easy to get to Baron Palace, Roxy, Korba on foot and it is about 15 mins by Uber or car to the airport.. I loved my stay, I will stay longer next time. There is nothing I would change.

It is basically a hotel inside a nightclub/restaurant area. There’s a lot going on around you at night. In the end it didn’t bother us. We slept well despite the nightlife that surrounded us, but we would have wanted to know this before booking.

In a complex with upper class restaurants and bar is hidden this little gem. It’s an historical building carefully renovated to an extremely clean and shiny boutique hotel. The furniture is chic, the mattresses anatomic, the bed linens and the towels brand new and soft. The lighting in the rooms and the bathrooms is perfect. The smiling staff are extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast is really great. All the restaurants serve delicious food in very normal prices. They close at one o’clock so you can sleep without any noise. But even if you want to sleep earlier the sound proofing is PERFECT so you won’t have any problem. The only problem was that we stayed for only two nights. Thank you very much

I liked the classic style of the hotel. WiFi coverage was excellent

I didn’t like the existence of a bar downstairs and a lounge on the rooftop because many of the lounge customers come to the hotel by mistake. There should be signs inside the lift and at the entrance to direct them correctly to their destination

The hotel is located in a historical villa in Heliopolis, which is a very nice neighbourhood of Cairo, not far from the airport and well connected with the centre by metro. It is a complex of different restaurants and it has also a nice rooftop bar.

The fact that the hotel is in a complex of restaurants and bars has many advantages but also the disadvantage that there is noise until relatively late and because the sound isolation of the windows is bad (common problem in all hotels I stayed in Egypt) it is not recommended if you are looking for quiet.
