I really enjoy the atmosphere and friendly nature of the staff. I feel safe at the casino, the security are brilliant there job and ensuring any poor behaviour is limited without decimating and are always up for a friendly chat. Bar staff are always polite and full and energy and reception know there job well, they are work in a professional and caring manner

Nothing. $200 bond is understandable however once you know your clients it should not be nessasary. Only $200 but still less funds to have a punt with which could impact earnings depending on how often this is requested and magnitude.

The service was fantastic. Every person we saw was friendly and helpful and did their jobs with professionalism. The rooms were spotless and made up each day, with the option of fresh towels daily. The twin rooms are on the lower floors, but they were spacious. We had a view of Mnt Wellington, and that was possibly nicer than overlooking the Harbour. The location was convenient if you have a car. It has free parking, but there were no cafes or shops within walking distance.

We didn’t realise that the Ocean View rooms were in a separate building from the casino tower. They are connected by a long corridor, but we didn’t want to stay there. We were able to pay extra to change to the main tower. The front desk staff were super helpful to make that happen, even though we had booked through a third party site. The food in all the venues we tried was really low quality. It was lower end pub food with very little in the way of healthy or fresh options. Breakfast was OK, but we ate all our meals out after the first day.

Our stay at Wrest Point in Hobart, Tasmania was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel's incredible location, nestled perfectly along the waterfront and standing proudly as one of Hobart’s most iconic landmarks. The room itself was equally impressive. With large windows offering an uninterrupted, breathtaking view of the Derwent River and the surrounding landscape, it felt like we were waking up in a postcard every morning. Watching the sun rise over the water was an experience we’ll never forget.

The variety of dining options on-site was a positive, but one area that could benefit from improvement is the vegetarian menu. While there are some vegetarian choices, the variety and creativity could be expanded, especially for those with dietary preferences or restrictions. As vegetarians, we found the options a bit limited!

Really best choice to stay in Hobart and explore Tasmania. Our room was on the highest floor and the view of the bay and city center was amazing. Room service was very quick and delicious. There are several restaurants and a casino on site so many options to spend the evening. Big parking availiable and it's free of charge, so always easy to park (unlike city center hotels). Air conditioning in the room was working well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Mini fridge was well equipped and spacious enough to store some our snacks. Definetly will stay here again.

The staff (particularly at check in) were so professional and friendly. We loved the refurb throughout the casino as well. Very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean and modern too. The bathroom mirror didn't fog up after showering, so that's a bonus for doing your makeup etc. And we like that the window could open a small way to let some fresh air in.

Only one lift was working, so time waiting to get into the lift was drawn out. Plus we noticed room service or buffet breakfast were the only options available for breakfast. An A la carte menu would have been good as well. The cafe was very limited with Toasties and muffins. Very basic and not nutritional, no gluten free or anything hearty for a winter's morning (like eggs or porridge etc). Coffee was good though.

Mountain view from 15th floor was very good. Lifts were very fast and quiet, staff were all friendly and informative. Breakfast buffet was more than adequate. In room TV was quite good, with various free to air channels and some movie channel options.

Dinner options within the Casino/Hotel complex a bit limited, thought the roast (pork or lamb) carvery was quite good; generous and supplemented by a good vegetable array. Shower in my room was a bit clunky; the shower-rose kept falling forward unless very carefully balanced completely upright. King size bed was two smaller beds pushed together and mattress a wee bit softer than I prefer, but comfy, clean and warm.

We had a room on the 10th floor facing the bay. The views were incredible. Very spacious and clean. Housecleaning staff were super friendly, some of the staff on the desk were friendlier than others.

We had breakfast included (however it was paid for $30pp per day in our booking). I wish we could have turned back time and not bought it for the 4 nights. It was dreadful. The staff had no control over unhygienic people coughing etc and then touching serving dishes. The hot food was cold and I had sort the pile of “clean” plates to find one that was actually clean. The one good part of the breakfast was the pastries. Would have requested a refund for breakfast however we needed to leave early on our check out morning.

Comfortable rooms, parking on site, Glamorous looking lobby/ foyer, various restaurants (we had a delicious meal at the Longhorn where the staff kindly squeezed us in as we didn’t have a booking but they were happy to seat us) and bars. Comfortable bed and pillows. Decent sized tv. Good standard of cleanliness.

Two lifts/ elevators only which wasn’t ideal when a coach load of guests turned up - it was chaotic. Speaking of lifts our room was located directly opposite the elevator/lift; all night you could hear the cables clunking where it was in use (perhaps soundproofing to these rooms would be advisable). The queue for the restaurants can be extreme - recommend booking! The hotel is away from much of the town (understandably as there is a casino, bars and restaurants all with the hotel site) but would have liked a walk outside to a local cafe/ bar/ restaurant. Seemed to be a little thin on the ground for staff - check in too a while especially with the coach load of guests.

Loved the room and the stunning view from the king harbour view room. Great location, easy parking and accommodating staff. Pool and gym facilities were clean and easy to access. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Hobart and recommend to others.

A bit difficult to contact the hotel when out, when I needed to ask a few questions and was on hold for a while then the phone just cut after 5 minutes on hold. Room had empty shower cap box initially, but staff replaced within minutes when I called up from my room which was great.

Excellent customer service, Easy check in & check out, most of the staff were fantastic, special Mention to Emily in the Bird Cage Bar, she was simply awesome and was very friendly and great at her job,

We went and booked into the Asian restaurant on our arrival at 2.00pm for that Evening. The Lady was quite rude to us telling us they were very busy that night being the Chinese New year and would we go else where. Got a table booked at 8.30pm which suited us. Food was a total let down & so was the service provided to us . I Ordered Crab & Mushroom pasta, there was half a dozen pieces of crab the size of your little finger nail. Photo attached.
