A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Hostal Felipe 2 in Barcelona! My stay was made incredibly comfortable and stress-free, largely due to their exceptional hospitality. What truly set this hostel apart was the staff's incredible flexibility. My flight was late in the evening, and even after checking out, they went above and beyond. They graciously allowed me to comfortably wait in the lobby, use the bathroom facilities, and securely store my luggage until it was time for me to head to the airport. This invaluable service transformed what could have been a difficult, drawn-out day into a relaxed and enjoyable one. Thank you again 🙏🏻

The location of the Hostal was ideal, with most of the major attractions just a short distance away—Sagrada Familia was only 1 km, and Casa Mila just 700 meters. Public transport options were also conveniently close, with a metro station and bus stops nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for nearby restaurants and tips on the easiest ways to reach the main attractions. Our room was kept tidy and clean every day.

The only minor drawback was that the windows didn’t seal completely, which made the area a bit noisier in the evenings and mornings.

Simple basic casa, basically 1st floor of beautiful old apartment carved up into small rooms. Nice floors, old doors stripped back to wood and good comfortable bed. Simply but tastefully decorated. If you're out exploring & just need a bed for the night...this will do the job. You take your chances with the neighbours, if noise, you'll not sleep. I got good 8 hours sleep, all quiet till some young person started vomiting in shared toilet🤢.....that's life!

You need to search and find the place by address....only small wording on buzzer at door to show you have arrived. / also go to ground floor to get checked in. I stood at 1st floor for 5 mins trying to get an answer. Had to call 📞 to be told to go to ground floor casa..not a negative as such, just be aware.

7 long blocks from Plaza Catalunya connecting with metro lines, airport shuttle, bus lines, and tourist sites. Lots of shopping areas and local bars and restaurants. Half block was Bar Restaurant Veracruz with breakfast and lunch convneiente menus. Hostel does not have breakfast option nor coffee machine. Old building and premises but the ceiling painting of the entrance is very nice. Remember that ground floor is floor 0, and second floor is floor 1 in Spain. Old elevator can accomodate 2 persons so if you travel with many bags not an option. Stairs can be eternal. Lovely balcony. Non smoking property. Premises are old, but bed was comfy.

The location is amazing, walking distance to everything. In a great and safe neighbourhood. The rooms are tiy, but it is very clean. Very helpful staff. They have also bigger rooms with private bathroom and small balcony.

During the first two nights, my single room was next to the elevator. It was impossible to sleep, since it is an old type of elevator that makes huge noise. The rooms are tiny. Also, the room doors are so thin, if someone is talking in the hall you hear everything from everywhere. For the next two nights, they changed my room and it was much better. Also, the windows do open, however, they face the inner building.

Very friendly, dedicated and helpful staff. Clean & tidy !!! Actually all was Ok for me... Beautiful ancient elevator Balcony facing North-West looking along the "Av. DIAGONAL" was great for afternoon and all evening sun...

At this time, September 2023, a new TRAM track is being constructed along the "Av. DIAGONAL" ! Due to these construction works, many, noisy busses need to stop at the traffic light below. 'Annoying if balcony doors are open... But got used to that in the end... Didnot notice anymore...

Our room has a veranda! I have always wanted a veranda to go out to and look down from it. It made me really feel the Barcelonean lifestyle. The A/C in our room was in good working condition because it made us feel cool all night long. The water pressure and hot water are great. The elevator may be old-fashioned but it worked well. The room came with a working tiny refrigerator that was advantageous for us.

The private bathroom was quite small for one to put on clothes after showering. The hotel didn't provide bath soap/shower gel but it provided hand soap and plenty of toilet paper.

The location was perfect, the staff was very friendly.

The mattress was too soft and it bounced off at the slightest move. However it’s still a perfectly good hotel to stay in.

I liked the location

I got the fourth floor but the third floor was where the fridge was. I didn't know it would be closed so I had no access to my food and drinks leading me to leave them behind. Also the microwave at the hallway in front of my room was not cool cause food smells came through and I had no access to mine.

Honestly speaking room was the best - small but suitable enough. Hostel locates almost near Sagrada de Familia thus, the hostel at the same Barcelona center. A subway station locates in a walking distance about 2-3 min up to the entrance

Unfortunately, there aint kitchen or equipped dinning room (no plates, spoons, forks and etc) Since the toilet is a single for whole level it looks dirty and sometimes might be busy.
