We choose to stay here every time in Barcelona. It is in the trendy neighbourhood of Poblenou with enough to do at night to match the city centre and a 10 min walk to Bogatell beach. Llacuna metro is a 5 minute walk away. Rooms are basic but are super clean and comfy. Staff are friendly and the reception is well laid out. Facilities including the bar and snack bar are handy too. Look forward to our next stay.

Note that there is construction work going on literally next door to the hotel so don't expect a good view! During the weekends and holidays, there is no work activity happening so no disruptions however during the weekdays, there was some construction noise from about 8am. As at January 2024, the building work looks far from complete so this may be ongoing into 2024 - could be worth checking beforehand.

Great location - short walk to beach and metro. Considering the hotel was fully booked it was very quiet, minimal noise from other guests. Good breakfast selection and no queues for breakfast. Staff very friendly. We would definitely stop at this hotel again.

Should let people know when checking in at reception that tea and coffee / kettle tray and hairdryer needed to be requested they are not supplied in room unless you ask for them. This isn’t a complaint, a suggestion of what could be better.

It had everything we needed so we were happy. Decent breakfast, clean rooms and lobby. We were also offered locked space to leave our luggage before our flight after we checked out which was great. Close to metro and close to the beach. If you need a hotel for sleeping, eating breakfast and leaving for the day it's a great chocie. Several markets close by.

The area around the hotel wasn't very nice. Lots of homeless people and stinks, we didn't really try any food close to the hotel for those reasons so can't say if there's anything good. Small minus for no butter at breakfast.

We stayed in Travelodge Poblenou Barcelona for one week. It was nice experience. Tasty fresh breakfast with a lot of choices of food and drinks; polite, friendly, patient and helpful staff. Special thank you Dani for nice service in breakfast time and Tasty coffee, and lovely friendly conversation. 😊 Good and friendly staff/unfortunately I didn't ask names 🤔was help me fixed my boy tablets 🤗👍😁 The sea side/beach was 12-15 minutes walk from hotel. Air conditioner work perfectly and you can control it as well to make temperature hotter or colder. Plenty shops and restaurants just around a corner. Highly recommended to stay family's and at this hotel. 👌

What stood out the most for me about the Travelodge was the neighbourhood it was located in. It was my cousin and I's first time in Barcelona and Poble Nou is an amazing place to stay. The Travelodge is located only a 10 min walk from Bogatell beach and just a short distance away from all kinds of restaurants and cafes. It didn't have the buys tourist feel that central Barcelona had, it was a lot more local which was refreshing. It was safe to walk around in all times of day, and the stay itself was clean and practical. What stood out most to us was the comfort of the beds! We were very pleasantly surprised.

The room is very basic, I don't have a problem with this though, it's a Travelodge...you get what you pay for.

Simpel but good breakfast. Rooms that are in every Travelodge (and I have been in many all over the world). Reasonably quiet (except for the cleaners in the morning who shout and slam doors that woke me up every morning early. After I had a chat about that to one of the cleaners she was very apologetic and it was quieter after that) Great location. Poblanou is a great location with great restaurants, ice cream parlours, bakeries, and near the beach. I had convention partly in town and partly in the forum and it was easy to take the metro or walk.

Maybe the airco, that I couldn't seem to get working properly... I think it's all on automatic... And I think the price is very high. But this is all over Barcelona nowadays. It's gone up more than 100% since my last stay 7 years ago which was pretty surprising! But still: 290 euro per night is a lot for 1 person in a room for 5 days...

The staff were friendly and considerate of all the guests in the vicinity. The 24/7 front desk and restaurant was a bonus and food was good (with a variety of choices for food and drink). It was usually quiet in the evenings and the desk staff were always available making it safer for solo travellers or smaller groups. The room was a good size with air con and the rooms were cleaned regularly. Vending machines near the entrance to the hotel for snacks and drinks (coffee/tea at €2 and snacks ranging from €2-€5). The beach was within walking distance and there were bakeries/shops around the corner. The beach had a separate area for those requiring wheelchair access and there are lifts and transport options throughout the city as well. Transport links to and from the hotel were great and staff can arrange for a taxi to Barcelona airport (if needed) and they will confirm the cost of the transfer at the front desk. This is a perfect location for beach lovers, city/weekend breaks and long stays, as there is so much to see. If you get a chance check out the BusTuristic tours, ticket costs approx €30 each and the night tour in Barcelona was beautiful. Best thing we did! We would definitely come back and stay at the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday break.

The lifts can get very busy certain times of the day but there are stairs. WiFi is an option but you have to pay for it in the room. It is available free of charge downstairs near the reception for all those that need access and there are tables and chairs for those working/studying.

The location was near the sea and also close to the metro station. It was a good experience overall.

There are no rooms with balcony. You have to go in front of the hotel/on the terrace in order to smoke.
