The hotel was in an excellent location, near many restaurants and bars, and also just around the corner from both the port and the old part of town. The hotel was also very easy to find, signed well and on the street rather than hidden in a back alley. Our family room was clean with an en suite bathroom inclusive of a walk-in shower. The air conditioning was very effective, which was handy given that the temperature outside had been 38°C during the day! We'd booked a triple room, which we asked to be set up as one double and one single bed, and contacted the hotel directly to arrange an extra bed because we had our two children with us, and the hotel was accommodating of this for a small extra fee. And we were pleased on arrival that they had remembered and actioned our request, because so many other places have not done so when we had an agreement in advance. Parking is also available for a small fee, but it is limited and you have to contact the hotel in advance to reserve it. Like many Spanish hotels in cities, the parking is underground nearby in a shared garage with other places. It was tight to get in and out, but that's to be expected with inner city hotels. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. Our room was tidied and made up well every day while we were out. Finally there was a nice cafe attached to the restaurant which does croissants and small breakfasts, but beware that this cafe is only open in the mornings and the hotel does not have any lunch or dinner facilities... But there are many restaurants within a few seconds' walk so that is not an issue.

No tea or coffee facilities in bedrooms, and it goes without saying that there were also no biscuits! But there were plenty of shampoos, she gels and hand soaps on the bathroom. This is moreso an issue with the inner city of Vigo itself, but when you arrive in a hire car in a foreign city, there's is not anywhere really to stop and park to check in to the hotel. Unless you reserve parking with the hotel, you'll have to use 24hr public car parks nearby and walk to the hotel with your luggage.

The location, the staff, the cafeteria. They offer you washing and ironing for the same day. Hotel Compostela in Vigo has an enviable location. You can walk to many places, with a bus stop and taxi stands right in front of the hotel. The rooms are very clean—and comfortable. There’s a caféteria that serves good food. The ladies who cook are friendly and take great care in what they do specially Marta. Excellent value for money and service. The bathroom is very clean and spacious enough. They offer same-day laundry service at a reasonable price. The best part is the staff—kind and always willing to help. A pleasant stay. Strongly recommended.

Nothing.

I liked the twenties feel of the hotel and established it was built in 1927. The dark furniture and mirrors gave it away. The lady that checked me in was really nice and spoke excellent English. All other staff were cheerful and helpful, including in the adjacent cafeteria. The location was excellent near the port and there was a good restaurant a block away. Excellent television with all channels available and comfortable chair for watching it. Brilliant shower. Very impressed and will return next year.

Lack of sockets in room. All right for charging my phone but not for using my travel kettle to boil water to make a cup of tea. The modern socket in the bathroom was set too high for my kettle.

The staff! So nice and welcoming! So close to the harbour to take the ferry to the Cíes islands. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We found the beds comfortable. The cafeteria attached to the hotel offers breakfast, very decent coffee, but has no menu to show so you will have to ask what you want to eat! Omelettes can be made, orange juice, yogurts, bread and jams, teas.. Price is quit neat for a family room. And there is a garage very close by where your car can be kept safely for a decent price.

You can hear the elevator in the early morning. A mini fridge would be a must, and some towel racks to dry your clothes after a day at the islands.

Lovely hotel with one of the nicest receptionists I can ever remember, a lady who couldn't do more to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect, adjacent to the old town, bars and restaurants, waterfront and the park. we had a good room with a lovely balcony and an excellent shower Some people have complained about breakfast in reviews but the breakfast is a typical breakfast for this region: cake or croissant or churros, plus yogurt or fruit, plus coffee and orange juice. All in all, perfect to start the day Vigo, by the way, is a super town if you've never been before

The room was very spacious and we had a small juliet balcony looking out onto the street/harbour. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and supported us with parking and storing our bags. Its in a great location, walking distance to the harbour, restaurants and the start of the Camino Portugues in Vigo which was great.

It was kind of noisy in the room with hearing other people coming and going down the hallways, shutting doors, etc. but otherwise it was a great hotel

Right from the start, the receptionist Moises wrote me to make sure I made a reservation in the right hotel and making sure I was staying an additional night in the same hotel where my friends and I were staying two nights prior. I want to praise his customer service, it immediately gave me an excellent impression of your hotel. Staff are key to keep 5 stars on your premise. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helped me with directions and questions. Totally 100% recommended!

At night there was loud music in the surroundings of the hotel, other than that no complaints. Breakfast could have more options for tourists.

Great location . Can’t believe I navigated my self through Vigo but with google maps ( I’m pretty useless) found the hotel . Was a big celebration going on victory over the French in 1806 . Which added to the charm. Massive port and city but very likeable. Room was spacious , twin beds , lovely hot shower . Fridge in room . Lots of bars and restaurants near by .The road out to rejoin the Camino was easy to find . Staff very helpful and spoke good English . Good value for money for sure .

Nice and central to marina and the centre of Vigo. Placed on a quiet street near a lovely park. Room was just large enough for 2people with good sized beds. A very nice bathroom with walk-in shower felt nice and modern. No casual seating area in hotel which was a shame. Cafe/breakfast room is really nice with nice character. Guests are served to table. Lift from a level foyer to each bedroom floor. Local restaurants and avaliable and everything is close by. Vigo is nice and I'd have liked more than one night here. Camino pilgrims stamp/sello avaliable.

View from rear rooms is poor which reduces the overall rating. Based on the rear rooms I'd give a 6/10 but this isn't quite the hotels fault and the rest is good.

Great location, very clean and lovely staff. We were walking the camino and this hotel is conveniently located. A lot of good restaurants nearby, right in the old center of Vigo.

Breakfast was good, but it's not really clear what is included or not. Third coffee will be charged. Since it is very central, you can expect noise from people on the street. We stayed on a Saturday night, so might be different on other nights.
