A 4 star hotel and they don't give you hotel slippers? (No big deal) The air conditioning is central. And when they turn it into winter mode centrally, you can only get hot air in the room. You can not control it. The day I arrrived was a hot day and I asked the reception that I can not get cool air from the air conditioning system and they told me they could do nothing as the system has already been turned to winter mode. Weird light button setup. I could not find a way to leave a small light on, in the sleeping area, unless I leave the bathroom light turned on.

The hotel was a really pleasant surprise in terms of its location. It is a few steps away from the metro station and a couple of minutes walk away from a large park. There are plenty of restaurants around and for those who want a quick bite, a couple of fast food joints as well. 2 grocery stores also a couple of minutes away. Breakfast was great overall , rooms were clean and really no problems at all. Would stay here again if in Madrid.

Really nothing to complain about. If I was finicky I would say just that the coffee is not really coffee but this should not take away that this is a great place to stay.

Really spacious room newly renovated. The double bed was really big and comfy. The bathroom was also really nice with everything provided: dental kit, soaps, comb, hair dryer, etc The location is also quite nice: close to las Ventas and it is possible to take the green and red metro lines really easily from there (approx 25mins to Puerta del Sol) You can let your belongings safely at the reception hotel after check out, which is really nice when you have a flight later in the day. The employees were really nice and spoke English, French and Spanish.

Hope the women in reception would be more pleasant. Besides, it's 4⭐⭐⭐⭐hotel and I was already 5th time here, always with 10-15 groups of friends, and was shocked when I asked for slippers for my double room (there was not any amieties-tooth brash, toothpaste, creams, sleepers..), the receptionist said to pay 10€ for them. I have never met such kind of thing in the whole of Europe during my travels

We had a nice big room and huge bathroom. Hotel is located slightly outside the city centre but is located near metro and bus stations as well 5min walk to Plaza de Toro which is a great point to visit as a tourist. Metro costs $1.5 - $1.7 to all key points in the town. We stayed there as it was good distance to the city centre but also not far from the main Madrid's stadium for our concert. Staf was friendly and hotel has a nice lounge as well. Very pleased with our stay.

Closed to EL Carmen METRO which easy to move around in madrid. 15mins taxi ride to ATOCHA main station. Carrefour just another block away from hotel and big mart behind too.We found a nearby Cafe(metro street exit) open at 6am which served quality sandwiches and coffee with reasonable price.

Too warm in room if u didnt open window for fresh air. Unable to on AC as centralised system mode.Noisy room assigned which facing side street,cars and trash trucks during late night can be heard.

Great front desk staff, specially Mr. Luis was extremely helpful. Location is great!

Sadly, the cleaning team during daytime were kind of lazy or oblivious. We had to request liquid soap to be refilled in the bathroom after 4 days, and they barely cleaned the floor. The night staff was always solving what the daytime people didn’t do.

Although we arrived long before the check-in time, the lady at the reception kindly gave us a room right away. It was a great relief to get in early and rest since we were tired from the journey. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The metro was just a 2-minute walk away, and we could reach the city center with a single ride.

The toilet seat in the bathroom was broken and needs to be repaired.

Very clean, modern hotel. Accommodating and friendly staff. Located near the center of the city with a metro and bus stop right outside. A supermarket and chocolateria near to the property. Breakfast was a good variety of food. I loved their bread.

Air conditioning was completely switched off for the season. This information would have been helpful to know in advance. Opening the window helped and they brought us a fan.

I recently stayed at 1881 Madrid Ventas Hotel and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was spotless.The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city's attractions. I couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
