Lack of coffee machine and kettle in the room - I think it would be much nicer to have it in the room rather having to go to the lobby to get coffee in your pyjamas...

The temperature is too hot (27°C) . It could be a solution to charge a reasonable additional charge to set the temperature below this threshold.

Drove from the UK and was not completely au fait with the emissions jurisdiction and if we could travel to the centre without picking up a fine. Both members of staff present although busy, were more than happy to assist and even called [email protected] on our behalf. Very grateful! Clean, well kept room (1204) and the hotel is close to amenities.

No locks on outer windows. We had a second floor suite with two youngsters and to our surprise we could fully slide open all windows. Thankfully due to the old mechanisms they were not easy to slide open and beds moved from being placed under and close to the window.

-the hotel and the rooms are very clean -extremely nice & helpful staff -the breakfast is absolutely great! -the hotel is located just a 2 minute-walk to a metro station and also right next to a few markets, good restaurants & cafes

-very thin walls (you can hear absolutelu everything from outside and from other rooms) -the room definitely needs more lightbulbs -the building is old and needs several improvements -the hotel is right next to a metro station and so you can easily reach the city in little time, but still the hotel is far from the main attractions

It was well situated next to the metro line, and between the city center and the airport. There is everything you need in the same street as the hotel. Beds were comfortable and the room clean. Staff was also very friendly, solution-oriented and proactive when I raised an issue with my room (thanks again to María from the reception desk)!

The block 3 of the hotel is not really soundproof and one can hear anyone talking in the corridor or shutting their door. It's hard for light sleepers to get a peaceful morning in bed. We were changed rooms, which was much better and we could sleep correctly!

Me and my mum stayed here for our quick week long holiday in Spain, and we thought the hotel was great! The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming! Every day once we had left to go and sight see, our room were cleaned, beds made up and given fresh towels! Maria in particular was amazing!! The travel to all the main sightseeing destinations were very quick and easy! We mostly took the metro everywhere and the nearest station was a 2 min walk!

The only downside (and personal preference) is that majority of the channels on the TV were in Spanish which is obviously obvious because we were in Spain but it was advertised that there were channels in English, I just didn’t know that it would be only the news channels. Some days you just want to unwind for an hour or so, after a long day, infront of the TV before bed but again, that’s my personal preference! Otherwise, amazing hotel!

Mostly the wonderful welcome we got from Maria anytime we saw her, especially when checking in, such a fantastic lady, very informative, had a great sense of humour, welcoming & willing to help us at all times, such an amazing asset to the hotel, Paola was also a fantastic lady, welcoming as well, they made our stay memorable, we enjoyed every minute & felt so comfortable straight away, Belin was on reception in the morning time, another gorgeous member of staff who gave us great advice about transport, gave us the change required etc.. well done Hotel Ilunion for caring to have such amazing staff it really makes the difference, we shall definitely be back 😆

Lovely staff. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Great breakfast buffet, with hot food options and lovely fruit selection.. Easy access to city by bus/metro right outside the hotel. Good base for the Madrid 10k/ marathon.

There was an unforseen power outage during our stay. The staff facilitated guests as well as they could but the hotel had no back up lighting along the corridors/ in the rooms when darkness fell, during the 6 hour power outage.

The hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe. Not touristy at all. There was an excellent bakery just down the road as well as supermarkets and pharmacies. The bedroom gave off a relaxing vibe. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Not a negative in my opinion, but you will have to take public transport to get to the sites. There is an excellent bus (#9) that takes you to the city centre
