We were amazed to be upgraded on arrival to a junior suite. This hotel is also situated in a perfect location for sightseeing in Madrid.

The breakfast whilst nice and varied was let down by staff not promptly restocking buffet items, crockery etc and cleaning tables. The staff all seemed busy but looked like they were getting ready for other meals. Also two mornings out of three the hot cabinet was cold meaning the food was the same too. The only reason I can’t provide this hotel with the highest review is because of breakfast issues.

We chose the hotel due to its location and competitive pricing. The suite we were given was lovely, spacious and quiet, no real view but we knew that was the option. Breakfast was good on both days, lots of choice, never seen a cake of the day and donuts offered for breakfast. Coffee was out of a machine but tasted go, shame about the paper cups

We saw at first hand, there was not enough tables for breakfast, and people were asked to come back at another time, which wasn’t an issue for us, but maybe for others.

So quiet! One of the quietist hotels we've stayed in. And yet, it is centrally located. The breakfast was great! Nice big walk in shower.

This is a unique boutique hotel housed in a couple of old buildings. So we had kind of odd windows and no view.

AC blows directly onto the bed such that it is impossible to use during the night. there were no hot water for one night.

The location was EXCELLENT. We were in a walking distance to the main attractions we wanted to see. And we could walk back to the hotel whenever we wanted. There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff was very nice and welcoming

Breakfast was ok, though it lacked variety. The main drawback was the room: it felt quite small and had a window facing the interior of the building, which made the view feel enclosed and limited the amount of natural daylight. Unlike many other hotels, the water in the minibar wasn't complimentary, so we were surprised to be charged for it at the checkout.

EVERYTHING! My best friend is here from New Zealand visiting and with conversion we decided to do Spain on a 'budget' however nothing about this hotel is budget. We booked a Junior Suite in room 115 for the night and it was so so spacious that we were in awe from the sheer magnitude of the hotel. The staff were wonderful and although there is no parking on site, there were clear instructions about nearby, secure car parks that we could use to secure our car and only a very short walk from the hotel. Everything about this hotel was perfect and I will most definitely be revisiting time and time again.

Huge, comfortable bed. Extremely quiet room for Madrid. The hotel is located across from the rear of the Parliament building, so traffic is restricted and the road is very quiet. It is only a short walk to Puerta del Sol - the centre of Madrid, the Prado, Retiro Park, the Grand Via, loads of restaurants, shops, and many other attractions.

The hotel had disabled the air-con in all the rooms, as it was October. Apparently this is their policy, and they refused to change it, despite several guests complaining. It was over 25 degrees in the room, and a bit too warm to sleep well. This was the only real problem. It's a nice hotel and I'd definitely stay there again. It isn't worth paying 18 Euro for the breakfast as there are loads of great cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

This hotel is in an excellent location, in a very quiet area but very close to the centre. Prado and other museums, and Retiro park, are only a short walk, lots of good restaurants close by. Metro station very close. Very good night sleep in comfy beds - so quiet! Staff friendly, good quality breakfast. Liked the nespresso machine in the room.

I would recommend people to avoid 8am to 9am for breakfast as it was very busy and there was sometimes a wait for a table. There was a long wait at reception when we checked in but there was only one lady on the desk, and we didn't mind waiting. We arrived at 7pm so that may be a busy time.

Our room was great. We could not hear anything from outside the room, the bed was very comfortable, one of the best rooms I stayed in. All the girls at the reception were extremely helpful. All the cleaning ladies were very nice too.

Breakfast. Quality can be better for a 4 star hotel. There were proper coffee machines in the area but instead the breakfast was served with these automatic coffee machines with not a great quality. Then the staff at the breakfast barely smiled and looked like they didn't want to be there. Almost all of them, that's the impression we got at least. In the room a bigger trash can is a must

Hotel very conveniently located near to the Thyssen Art Gallery and a short walk away from the Prada. We chose this hotel to be near both as only staying a couple of nights, which is in the Santa Ana area with it's interesting links to Spanish cultural writers and also the Theatre district. We enjoyed walking around and there is a great selection of bars and restaurants. The hotel has its own restaurant, where breakfast was served each morning. Excellent choice of cold and some hot food (including bacon which was a bonus). The room we had overlooked the inner courtyard was comfortable with all the amenities expected. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful .
