The Room is excellent, sound free and amazing decor. Breakfast is good but did not enjoy the normal restaurant due to renovations.

The Hotel is an excellent one. The only thing for me to complain about is the fact that the Reception, the Breakfast restaurant and main restaurant are being renovated and I could not appreciate the Hotel as I should have. I should have been informed prior or when placing the booking that there are going to be some renovations. Hopefully I will revisit when renovations are complete unless the Hotel wishes to give me a three nights stay free of charge :))

The hotel is situated in an excellent location and boasts a staff that is both wonderful and very helpful. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist made a positive impression from the outset.

a significant issue during my stay was the ongoing construction on my floor, which we were not informed about at check-in. As someone who sleeps late, the noise from the construction began early in the morning and negatively affected my entire stay. Being forewarned would have allowed me to prepare better or request a different room, thus this lack of communication was quite disappointing. Despite the great service and location, this oversight impacted my overall experience at the hotel.

The perfect location for our 5-day trip to Madrid! Convenient to the Prado and Thyssen and Reina museums, plus El Retiro park. We could pop into our room for a quick refresh between sights. We loved the newly renovated room -- was light, bright and classic without any new-fangled design-y flourishes common to most boutique hotels. The bathroom was luxurious and private. And the room had exceptional closet space and lighting choices -- all on dimmers. And the breakfast was splendid -- abundant and flavorful, quality ingredients and service -- all in under the most spectacular stained glass dome. Also! My husband visited the gym and sauna and was impressed with these amenities too.

We were disappointed to discover the windows accessing the little balconettes are on safety latches so they can only be cracked open a few inches. Sort of killed the romance of flinging open the doors onto the city of Madrid! Also, the facade of the very large building is under scaffolding so we will have to return to see the finished restoration!

The. Bedroom is great size for stay. The location is reasonable to close all the shopping and dining areas. The reception is friendly, with very helpful suggestions and information for someone like us stay at Madrid for only a night.

The dinning experience for breakfast. First, for some reason, we were arranged to the table next to the dirty dishes collected area though there are plenty of tables inside the dining room. After we raised our concerns, we were placed to a different table but still next to the door entrance. Also, the room is not as clean as the other two hotel we stayed at Barcelona and Sevilla.

The cleaning especially the bath room. I added empty shopping bag in the bathroom because the basket (trash ) was small the cleaner removed the trash and take it out without retuning it and saw the shopping bag in the bathroom and did not bother to throw it it was full of garbage I called them and I explained to them. They brought the trash the second day the same they empty the trash and left the shopping bag in the room full of garbage The staff was not friendly when we checked in the receptionist gave us very far room from the elevator we had to change it although she noticed that we are not young the hotel is under construction their is noise

Elevators are outdated and small - also multiple elevator bays so confusing which ones to use Carpet had some stains No glass shower doors despite it being an expensive hotel - had curtains instead Only able to connect smartphone to WiFi - unable to connect laptop computer Lots of stairs in main entrance made carrying up heavy luggage cumbersome

Gorgeous hotel, it was like staying in our own luxurious, comfortable apartment. The works did not disturb us once, so don't be put off by the talk of renovations. The staff were so friendly and helpful, with a particular shout out to Alba. She was so accommodating upon check-in. If we come back to Madrid, it'll definitely be here we choose to stay!

My only minor dislike was the lack of probable soundproofing. Whilst there was hardly any external noise audible (despite being in such a central location), loud inconsiderate guests in the corridor outside (post 2am in some cases) sounded so loud to us in our room.

The best was the location - really near the Prado, other museums and great restaurants.

The stairs into the lobby and then again to go to the elevator. This required a bell person to carry your luggage even though it was on wheels. Then the bell boy pick up my heavy suitcase by the pull handle and swung it up in an arc up the stairs. I grabbed it from him, thankful that that the pull handle did not break off. Also, the room was too warm and the windows did not open but a crack.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times last year so we very much the location and the comfort. This time we got a newly renovated room.

Unfortunately two restaurants located in the hotel closed (the sushi and the Chinese restaurants). The rooms facing the side or the main streets face a lot of noice, windows do not offer a lot of noice isolation. Housekeeping staff is not very polite ! When they knock on your door the door opens at the same time not leaving any time to respond !! Something which is unacceptable. All other staff is very friendly and helpful.

Interior is amazing, its like a real palace. Its close to the city centre, so you can walk to all the important sightseeing spots. Room was very spacious and amazing. Bathroom was also big with 2 sinks and all things you need were provided. Great inhouse restaurant with a separate bar area.

I suppose the downside would be that its a bit pricey, or at least it was for the dates that I booked it for.
