Location of the hotel was perfect, the cafés, bars and tapas restaurants were just in the street right outside, we tried a few and they were all good. The metro station and other main sites are just a few minutes walk away. The check in was really quick and easy and the hotel was nice inside; our room was comfortable and quiet. We were really happy with the accommodation and would stay again!

Nothing, we would come back again and definitely recommend! There isn't any option for breakfast to be included but we already knew that before we came, and for our short stay we didn't mind going out to the local places nearby to find something☺️

The location could not have been more perfect. An easy walk to everything. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and big enough to move around. There are not a lot of extras but all of the things mentioned above make this stay a 10 and I would definitely return here. The street also had wonderful restaurants, including our favorite one in Madrid, which is the vegetarian restaurant… A definite must!

I thought the room was exceptionally good value for money. I appreciated the desk staff and the hard working cleaners. Although the room was small it was as I expected. The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a very friendly coffee bar just across the road, selling good coffee and pastries at a reasonable price. No breakfast at the Lisboa but that wasn't a problem. I found the bed extremely comfortable and slept well. Not too much road noise into our room.

Nothing it was good in all aspects for the tariff.

We got a decent room, a bit small for a Family ( 2 Adults 1 Kid). The room was tidy i didn't notice any dirt on the floor or whatsoever. It was also near Sol which is about 7-10min walk, depends how fast u walk. Many restaurants and bars nearby. The A/C worked perfectly fine, can't complain, i had to turn it off in the morning because it got really cold in the room. Good thing about the bathroom it got a pretty big window in it and the shower is big aswell. We got 2 Cards ( for each person) to enter the main door the sliding door after it and to our room.

One star i had to remove cause the staff didn't asked us if we wanted our room to get cleaned up. We went outside for a couple of hours, after we got back we we're surprised that the room was tidy. I mean it's a good thing, plus we got new towels. My point is the staff could have asked before hand if we want our room to be cleaned, cause i'm not the type of person who's personal belongings want to be touched to be honest. And there was no hairdryer either, maybe i should have asked if they had one i could have borrowed.

The location is excellent and I have been staying here for about 25 to 30 years. The staff is wonderful and excellent, very nice and courteous. I highly recommend this Hostal.

The price was higher than usual because of the book fair and events happening in Madrid. It was still cheaper than places nearby, but I was very happy to stay here since I know this stuff and I love the location.

Basic accommodation in central Madrid. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning worked great. Bathrooms were clean. No breakfast but there are cafe's nearby, including the great Cafe Feliz across the street . Close to Sol metro station.

A coffee maker or tea kettle in the room would have been nice, or a small fridge.

The room is spacious and comfortable and the decoration is simple yet modern. the room is very clean and also the location is great, very central in Madrid.

There isnt a curtain for the bathroom window so the light comes in early in the morning, I would bring an eye mask. Also, we were coming down to check out when both the recepcion called our room and the housekeeper came knocking on the door to tell us we need to leave now, when we were only ten minutes late. Normally places dont mind if you are five to ten minutes late to check out but here they do mind.

Cleanliness, Humble staff, New rooms, Good lights, if you’re looking to stay in the center of madrid and wants to visit all places by walk then This hostel is a perfect place for you honestly when i had to visit madrid almost it took me 5 hours to decide where to live and i read reviews there people were complaining we had this issue we had that issue finally i found this place and it was as it is written Plus we had air conditioning services also.

Location was great. Staff were very friendly. Very clean room and it was reasonably priced.

the bathroom door is frosted glass with no lock and big gaps around it. Not at all comfortable in a room with 3 people. Mattresses could do with an update. Spring beds aren't very comfortable.

Helpful and efficient reception staff. Room fully renovated, comfortable, surprisingly spacious. The location is brilliant, in a quiet street but only a few steps from a great selection of bars and restaurants, and walking distance to the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia museums.

The only suggestion is to replace the towels which are a bit old, and to provide bath mats. When we asked at reception they gave us an extra hand towel to use as a bath mat, explaining that mats are not normally provided. But the next morning the room cleaners changed the towels and did not replace the extra one.
