We were walking the Camino and wanted a private room for the night. We arrived by bus so it was very close to the bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also very quiet so we had a great night's sleep. There is also a laundrette and supermarket within a few minutes walk.

For one night - perfect economy-class hotel. Comfortable bed, clean shower, decent breakfast. The solo room is extremely small, so for a longer stay, I would recommend bigger rooms. Good location, and friendly staff. Convenient for pilgrims who don't like albergues or just want to have a good night's sleep.

Lovely people and breakfast.

Furniture of mediocre quality, including the bed. A broken chair that seemed like a recliner as the back was no longer fixed to the seat… Tough to step into the bathtub around a glass wall. The bathtub has abrasive tape, logical for those showering, unpleasant for a bath.

Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was simple but good. The hotel and room were very clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel because it had air conditioning but when we mentioned at reception that the room was stifling hot we were told to open the window since they were still on winter mode. It was 26 degrees outside. About a 800 meter walk to the start of the Camino.

Good functional, I had twisted my foot on the Camino de Santiago and the receptionist offered to find me a doctor which was nice

The price, it’s confusing there’s 2 Hotel Aroi in Ponferrada! So I told the taxi driver to bring me to Alcala Cafeteria!

I was beat. The room is cosy, neat & clean. Have an armchair to sit on. Bathroom is clean with a handheld shower head. Lift is available. Opposite the hotel, there is a shop selling churros in the morning. Walking distance to Knights Templar Castle.

I was tired after a long walk from Foncebadon to Ponferrada, hence I like to have earlier dinner. Most of the restaurants open around 7.30 pm or 8 pm. I have to dine in a fast food chain cafeteria for a beef lasagna. The room's light is a bit dim. Didn't expect the hotel doesn't to provide miniature shower gel or shampoo. The hotel is situated off track from the Camino route.

Small room for price. Límited breakfast hours did not allow me to have breakfast with my early train departure.

Reception staff in the day didn’t engage at all. Appeared disinterested and we felt we had disturbed them in some way. Cafe area was full of dirty plates and cups so we didn’t use it. Room had bath and sink but no plugs or pop up plugs had been disabled.

This beautiful property is both elegant and historic while being warm and welcoming. It’s a short 10 min taxi ride from O Cebreiro where the owner prepared a delicious dinner and treated me like royalty. Rooms are spacious, elegant and very clean and comfortable.

Staff was incredibly helpful after a late evening check-in. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was a little pricy but was given recommendations to stores and cafes nearby
