Unrenovated rooms

considering this is my 8th visit to the Riosol i wanted to celebrate my birthday here.. this was the best room iv booked in the 20 years iv been visiting gran caneria .. and it exceeded my expectations.. the room was very clean,modern and spacious ,and the most comfortable bed and pillows ever... more than enough room for 2 people .. no squeaks or lumps .. toilet was spacious and clean and comfortable..and the shower was huuuge and easy to use with good water pressure...... no cupboards/wardrobes but more than enough storage for your clothes ,but could do with a few more hangers.. breakfast was fantastic buffet style too.. so a good choice..English sausages and a choice of English or Spanish bacon too.. plenty of tea or coffee facilities... and very spacious .. dinner was amazing ,buffet style too so plenty of choices, clean spacious and not too over crowded and quite cool too .the pool area was nice too.. not too overcrowded and more than enough sun loungers.. i had a free pass for the VIP pool area which includes a free drink.. and that was out of this world because the sun loungers were sooo comfortable ,really thick mattresses so you could just lie there all day in the sun without getting sore or stiff.. nice little pools too not deep at all but very warm.. but over all the views were spectacular and what topped of the amazing experience was when i had a nice unexpected surprise birthday gift of a nice bottle of shampers and card from the hotel..which was a very very nice touch. so im grateful for the experience.. i would definitely recommend to anyone and i will be visiting again..

not enough free english speaking channels or apps on tv,not enough coffee pods

Room was very clean on arrival, staff were really pleasant and helpful, pool was lovely and warm as heated, we were self catering so can't comment on the food, fabulous sea views from our balcony. Short walk from this hotel is shopping, bars and restaurants all very good with nightly entertainment

Very crowded around pool area but it was half term so to be expected. This complex also has a fantastic roof top infinity pool and spa facilities but this cost extra 25 euros each to experience not really clear in the information provided by the hotel, many steps down to beach taking approx 20mins, longer if you take an easier route, taxis cheap though

Stunnig view! Nice pool area, but too many towels sunbathing, so hard to get space. Buffe good. Plenty space and food under breakfast and dinner buffe.

Sad that they always lie about the elevator which always is out of order. Was often some waiting to get the elevator. They always only use one of them, for some reason. Maintenance on the building structure missing, big cracks all over. Information about entertainment/show is just on a small note on the right side of the reception, and was also wrong, so no wonder why it was very few people looking at the entertainment! Stupid with the VIP area on the upper floor, its hardly in use, and if it would have been for everyone, it would have been plenty space for the sunbeds! (As it was before) Partly very loud music around the pool. But after all, a good place to stay!

It’s way more beautiful than it seems in pictures. The views take your breath away! Loved the swimming pools and the activities. The apartments are great as well. Super big and comfortable. The beds are awesome, super clean and comfy. The closets are big. The kitchens have many utensils. The WiFi is great.

The bathrooms could definitely use some attention, both the one near the pool and the one in our apartment. In our unit, the main shower head was missing, so we had to rely on the handheld one, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, water would spray everywhere during use, leaving the bathroom wet and messy very quickly.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our daughter was sick in the beginning and staff was very aware and helpful to clean the room. General cleaning was provided everyday. The 2 entertainers team, Patrik and John were very sweet people, taking care of their guests and doing different sort of activities, which keeps you activated. There is also a children club with different activities, toys, outside games for adults too. We did not use much of the other facilities as dinner. The heated pool was great, but a little too warm for me:) There is also a shallow children pool. The view to the ocean is mesmerising.

I wish we had a bigger terasse with sun beds, because we could not see the ocean when sitting in out terrase.

The staff was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They really made our stay special. The dining options were varied and enjoyable, with plenty of choices for different tastes. We appreciated the effort put into the meals. The atmosphere in the hotel was welcoming, and the communal areas felt inviting.

The rooms felt quite outdated and could use some renovations to match the rest of the hotel’s charm. While the rooms were clean and functional, a bit of modernization would make the experience even better. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, and I’d still recommend this hotel for its service and food. A big thank you to the amazing staff for their hospitality!

Never more trust bad comment we have fantastic time with our family and friends, stuffs was very kind and frendly ,view take a breath ,food was tasty even it not was much but what we try everyyhing was in good taste , we liked coctails so much , we was two times in Gran canaria before in 4* hotel and we can said that Riosol was better , room was cleaned every day , we get much towels every day , on TV we was can watch YouTube and netfliks so kids was very happy , even we liked much stairs its helped be in shape on holiday 😀 very confy beds

Its be good if be there more easy with babies because every Time take baby stroler with a lot of stairs are bit hard

Location pools heated food lovely

Beds very light my husband had a tumble off on bed landed on him so light our room was a connecting room we could hear the every word and conversation next room had no place in bathroom to put all you stuff only a sink toilet and shower bedroom only small wardrobe no bedside lockers to hold tablets or drink no wall lights only main switch

We stayed room only basis. The hotel is clean, tidy and the rooms are basic, but all have stunning views of Peurto Rico and most have lovely sized balconies with chairs, sun beds and parasol. It is situated 5 mins walk from the Europa Centre and has the sunshine on it the whole day long. Staff are friendly and helpful.
