The hotel deserves more than 4 stars. Excellent location. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Wonderful facilities for kids. Great kids club and kids activities at night. But what makes this hotel exceptional is the Manager and the staff, nothing is too much trouble . We stayed on Bed and Breakfast package. The buffet for breakfast was exceptional, something for everyone. We did eat 3 nights at the hotel. Buffet dinner for €20, huge selection. Will definitely return to this hotel and will go for package including dinner or all inclusive. When we arrived there was a huge line for taxi so we got the public bus that dropped us right outside the hotel. Can't wait to return. Great memories made.

We went second week in May, weather was lovely but pool water was very cold but this was not hotels fault.

Excelent breakfast selection. Constant food flow. Staff very attentive collecting empty plates etc. I would recommend to everyone to go before 9:00a.m to avoid q's. We got dinner one of the nights and it was delicious. We paid €36 for 2 people including wine & water. Excellent price-value. Soft drinks were extra but very affordable. Lovely cocktails and activities.

We had a perfect stay as a couple – peaceful and not noisy or chaotic. The location was excellent, less than a 5-minute walk to the main street where everything is. Even with kids in the pool, it felt relaxing. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, including scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, porridge, and cereals. A great bonus was being able to check out, store our luggage, and use the shower facilities if you have a late flight – very handy since checkout is by 11 a.m. At lunchtime, there were always plenty of loungers available, as most people seemed to rush to the pool in the mornings. There was also a pool table and a few arcade games to pass the time, plus a bar and an ice cream counter on the far side of the pool. The hotel had two large pools and one kiddy pool. The room’s AC was excellent – it kept the room perfectly cool as long as the balcony door was closed. The in-room fridge was also impressively cold. Overall, it was a great stay with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.

The Spa wasn't very clean the tiles had mould and build up on them in the pool. In the room the shower head didn't fit the holder it kept falling off.

Golden Port Salou was an excellent choice for our recent holiday. The hotel boasts several pools areas and plenty of sun loungers (with good enforcement of individuals "reserving" sun loungers). It was busy but never felt overcrowded. The food was great - we opted for half board which had lots of choice and options changing each night and a good breakfast selection. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating from the dinner staff to front desk who helped us arrange excursions and very kindly opened the breakfast area early for us on the day of our departure. The rooms were comfortable and serviced to a high standard. Beds were comfy and the air conditioning meant we were able to keep cool at night.

Some of the rules regarding children needing supervision were not enforced

The rooms are excellent clean and comfortable beds. Good showers and tea and coffee in the room. Fridge to keep your drinks cold and a good bar and restaurant service. Indoor poot which was heated and 3 outdoor pools for children and adults. Breakfast is a buffet style breakfast with loads of choice . Entertainment around the pool every day as well as good entertainment for children. Mini golf , darts, pool and table tennis and football and basketball court

I like everything about the hotel

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and work really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. It was so clean - could not fault the pool areas/restaurant or our room. Didn’t have to get up early for a sunbed which was a bonus! Lifeguards were at the pool areas all day. We had booked for b and b but when we got there and realised how nice the food was we changed to half board for an extra. £12 per day. You can also rent towels which is great. We went to PortAventura during our stay and we could walk there in just over 20 minutes. Very convenient. I also used the gym whilst there. Lots of exercise machines. Top tips: if you like water bring a water bottle as you can fill it up for free at the filtered water fountain. If you like a large cup of tea in the morning bring your own mug as there is only small cups in the room and restaurant. Don’t waste luggage weight bringing your own towel - hire them for a refundable deposit.

My only negative about the whole trip was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. It is not the hotels fault but you can hear lots of noise from your neighbours. The hotel staff would happily sort this out for you at reception if needed. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs!

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were lovely, modern look, beds and pillows so comfy. Staff very nice. We had nighttime flight so hotel stored our luggage and we had full use of all facilities even after check out. Also had a luggage scale which was great. Didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but others said food was lovely and great choices for dinner. My breakfast was gluten-free, had GF options, cereals, bread, and sweet treats - including freshly made pancakes and omelette. Lots to choose from. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

I liked the amount of entertainment and amenities the hotel offered from spa to the gregal bar so much to do. The roof top pool and quietness was really nice.staff were really lovely, we tried to do late check out, however the hotel was fully booked but let is stay the extra hour and use of the luggage room, the staff couldnt have been any kinder we really enjoyed it.

The closing of gregal bar entrance, but understandable, it was just one eveni g we decided to walk that way, and found a quite elderly couple struggling to get in we showed them the other way that wasnt a problem for us at all but for them it was quite a walk round. The weather as we werent able to sit on the balcony much due to the weather but that was nothing to do with the hotel, overall i would come back again and again. And i would highly recommend

Staff were amazing, kiddie friendly. Our daughter was sick and a man said to take whatever we needed back to room to her and gave us tips to help her tummy. Lots of kiddie games, pools, cuisines, entertainment. Location perfect.

The luggage room. We had a late flight so put our cases in a locked luggage room. Went back when taxi arrived and one case missing. We are still waiting for an update from the assistant manager Jacqueline. They give the key out freely to whoever asks.

The room was comfortable, and kettle tea and coffee were available. There were two main pools, one of which inflatables were not allowed. This suited us, as my partner is blind and we used the pool without the inflatables for our swimming sessions. The food in the hotel was excellent, and the selection was such that there was always something suitable for eating at each sitting. The range of salads and hot food was great. Freshly cooked eggs, omelets, bacon, pancakes etc every breakfast, and if it happened to be not hot enough, there were microwaves available to reheat.

The bar staff were great but couldn't pull a pint of Guinness properly, treating it as another type of lager, there are two stages of the pour for a reason. A little bit of fun here, I did not expect to get great Guinness in Spain!
