This was a solid and reliable place with ample on site parking. We didn't get to have dinner or breakfast here but it looked to be very popular with other guests. It also has an outdoor and indoor swimming pool which we didn't use. It is wonderfully located and we really enjoyed our stay here and really enjoyed villafranca del bierzo. A lovely town to visit.

We arrived quite early and were able to get right into our room which made us very happy! Staff at the front desk were very helpful with directions into town and answering all of our questions. The restaurant was very good and we had excellent service all around.

Nice hotel

Dinner was only served from 8:30pm (which I knew) but when we arrived there was a coach tour in and we were told we couldn't have dinner until 9:30 as a result. We declined and ate a picnic in our room instead. Not impressed. This happened at another Parador as well on the same trip.

Well appointed room, great restaurant for dinner, didn't stay for breakfast

I LOVE the bathtubs in Paradors but, like all Paradors, the liquid soap and shampoo are mounted high on the for the convenience of people who take showers. They are totally out of reach for people who want to enjoy a bath and it is inconvenient at best and dangerous at worst to attempt to access them when seated in the tub.

It’s literally a treat to stay in a parador like this; it’s quiet, calm and unhurried. The staff are friendly and professionally efficient and the bar is a lovely place simply to relax and collect your thoughts.

some little touches were missing e.g.a bottle of water in the bedroom. Also breakfast not starting til 8 was disappointing tho a decent picnic breakfast was provided

Well, for a Parador I would had expect to have a spa warm ( instead of freezing cold) and a Sauna ready to use instead of having to ask to turn it on. Food was average and expensive

Nice big bedroom with jacuzzi, spacious reception area. Lovely sitting room where guests could lounge about . Good indoor pool with hydraulic jets , great for soothing weary travellers who’d been walking on the Camino . Nice relaxing loungers and underfloor heating . Outdoor pool was not open yet Bar area was welcoming with comfortable seating areas and also a good choice of drinks and snacks. The raspberry cheesecake is definitely the best I’ve ever tasted . There was a good sense of space in the hotel Breakfast was excellent as was the service . We had a meal the previous evening and I disappointed here because the food was very well presented but it was cold . I think that if they just heated the plates it would have made a difference. Overall I was very pleased with my stay

pool times not clear and laundry service did not do 24 hour service although the papers say they do.
