The location is beautiful. The South side of the island is less busy and so less touristy. Unlike some properties, this one is peaceful and relaxing. The music is kept low and guests were quiet. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed our time on the private beach and by the lovely pool. The roof top deck is gorgeous at sunset! And my son loved the gym. Can’t wait to return.

I had a great stay with my adult daughter. We loved the pool area and the ability to go from the pool to the ocean. Beach was great for that part of the island, and if you swim out to the swim area rope there are many different tropical fish to watch. We only ate at the property once, and the food was great. Fantastic shower, and large room with area for coffee.

Upgraded TV's so we could watch movies on Netflix at night. Beds were a little hard, but otherwise the room was large and comfortable.

Good breakfast buffet, staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs, nice pool.

Felt a little damp in the room, but that’s humidity on the island for you. And could use more chairs around pool bar and on the beach.

Amazing value for money, friendly staff and beautiful beach! Food could be hit and miss at times but not bad enough to ruin your holiday,for the price this is everything you would expect and more! Hotel is immaculate, bright and modern with spacious rooms and luxurious bedding. Shoutout to Hulio, Candy and team for making it such a good vibe and being so accommodating. My partner has a food allergy and they really tried their best to look after us and they did so well! They remembered our names on the first day which is a nice touch! Would definitely recommend to family and friends

Everything was great! Only thing is the pricing for taxi & transit options because the hotel is isolated. Need to have option to rent golf cars from the hotel

We loved having breakfast very close to the beautiful beach. After breakfast, the children were free to play in the sand while we enjoyed a cup of coffee quietly in the beautiful view. The staff were all so very nice, the room was very big and comfortable for all of us. The bathroom was always comfortable- separate toillets and shower rooms so we could all be there at one time getting ready. The hotel was not a huge resorr but it was just perfect for us and the kids. They felt free to wonder around, and make friends

Every time towels were missing, or we got wet towels. Dinner was not buffet. Hotel was far from the city, but it was good since we were all inclusive.

The hotel is very nice, but I have never experienced a 5-star hotel anywhere in the world that does not have a refrigerator in the room. I do not understand why. It is very annoying for a multi-day stay. I do not know what the hotel wants to prove by this. People cannot have cold water and can buy expensive things in their shop or bar. In my experience, a hotel cannot have five stars if it does not have a refrigerator in the room.

The staff were exceptional, super friendly, welcoming and hugely helpful wherever they could be. The hotel was lovely, I loved the big room - a nice big comfortable bed, gorgeous lighting with dimmer switches, nice bathroom with 2 sinks, great shower. I even loved the 'bench' in the shower room - very handy it turns out. The air con worked very well - a little too well that I almost didn't need it - the ceiling fan was very good. The hotel's beach was lovely - and the main swimming pool - gorgeous. The cleaners did a superb job each time they came - such a good job that I certainly didn't need them every day. This was my first time in Isla Mujeres (or indeed, Mexico), I visited Playa Norte and the north but found it very hectic and touristy - I am so grateful Izla Hotel wasn't in this area and was far more chilled out and laid back. I enjoyed the gym facilities also.

I would say the bar ingredients could be improved - cocktails were all made using a syrup whereas fresh fruit would have been wonderful. For example, a strawberry daquiri or strawberry margarita were made using a strawberry flavoured sugar syrup rather than fresh strawberries. Fresh fruit would have really given the bar the edge

the pools (2!) were always clean, and chairs available. The staff were AMAZING - specifically Claudia in the cafe, and Don Julio and Alex at the pool bar. This is a very safe, clean hotel, with a beautiful private beach. As much as I hate to rate it so high because it just means more people will be there, visitors need to know and the hotel staff deserve the rating.

only "complaint" - we couldn't figure out how to adjust the AC in the room (although we also didn't ask - it really ended up being just fine). There is a ceiling fan in the room that worked well.

Beautiful property! Stunning pools, and the beach is sensational. Izla hotel would probably be best for a couples holiday as highly romantic - I would love to go back with my husband. Location is great, we hired golf carts and explored the island and it was so reachable. Taxis to the ferry were around $10 UDD which we found very reasonable! There is a golf cart hire shop just down the road so we picked ours up from there! The staff are highly attentive, very friendly. Overall we loved our stay, it was sensational!
