The best hotel ever. I've been in several hotels but honestly this was the most generous hotel I have ever seen. There were always plenty of room refreshments available. The shampoo and other consumables were all the best quality unlike other hotels. The breakfast was the best I've seen with plenty of options all fresh and scrumptious. It was my son's birthday during our stay and they made us the happiest surprise 2 times: once at breakfast time with a lovely decorated table and lots of generous gifts and once again in the room with lovely decoration and plenty of refreshments as gifts. As said, they made us the best holiday. I can't thank the staff enough. Swimming pool is amazingly clean the area and changing rooms were very very very clean and dry!

Amazing stay! A lovely hotel just want we needed after a long day at gullivers world. Kids loved going for a swim after gullivers world and then again in the morning before check out. Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble!! Got a pizza via room service and honestly the pizza was incredible! Would 100% stay here again!

Bed was too hard for me but was perfect for my partner. Think everyone has different preferences on mattresses. It wouldn’t put me off staying again though as everything else was amazing.

The staff here are a great asset; warm, welcoming, well-trained and professional whenever I encountered them. On the whole, the rest of the hotel was exactly what you would expect from a chain hotel, but the staff were exceptional from start to finish. The spa was never over-crowded.

I drive an EV. There is only one charger which was in great demand and although there are 3 cables which should have meant that 3 vehicles could charge simultaneously, it was only possible to use one at a time. I would have eaten at the hotel more if there were more healthy options on the dinner menu.

ALL staff from the moment i walked in to when i walked out went above and beyond. Food was fab, room was fab we loved it facilites were brill . Food wise on the diner ,bead and breakfast deal , portions were billiant. I wish i had this on every hotel stay.

My only thing which is down to my crics and not the hotel its self. I have an 11 year old , who is too old for childrens menu but not there on the adult menu. We did a d.b&b and the starter choices on the set menu were limited , in fairness i didnt quiz this at the time either (based on what i had im sure if i had they would have sorted it)

Our stay at Holiday Inn, Haydock by IHG totally surpassed our expectations. The reception staff at check in and all other staff we encountered were extremely friendly and professional. We booked bed, breakfast and evening meal. The room was large, clean and provided everything that we needed. The breakfast had plenty of choice with all cooked items being hot, which has not always the case in other hotels. We were surprised that the evening meal contained 3 courses and found enough choices on the menu, all food was well cooked. We would definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends.

There was nothing that we did not like.

All the staff we had dealings with gave the impression they where happy to be there. Tbh, we thought we had booked into the Mercure Hotel around the corner...we where pleasantly surprised when we walked into the Holiday Inn after being turned away by the Mercure...the reception was much nicer and the staff where fantastic. When we got to our room, which was conveniently situated on the ground floor, we discovered a large enough room for the two of us which was not overly hot like you find some hotel rooms and it had all the usual things you would expect + a few more in the room fridge etc. We had booked the dinner, bed & breakfast package...we both couldn't understand how the hotel could do it for the price!! We went to the dinning area for our evening meal, we where shown to our table by Mandy...what a pleasant person she is! We placed our order from the multiple choice menu. We did not have to wait long for the first course to arrive, which was a tasty enough soup. Our mains arrived, one was an excellent, fish, chips and mushy peas... My wife, who is vegan...had a Vegan Dahl, which she said was really tasty. I had a chocolate brownie & ice cream for my pudding, my wife does not do puddings. Our breakfast was a help yourself buffet style. The hotel cooked a couple of vegan sausages for my good lady and I had a Traditional English Fried Fayre which was excellent. All in all this was brilliant value for money and, considering we thought we had booked elsewhere, was a pleasant surprise. Staff members worthy of a name check:- Dillon & Jake on reception, Mandy & Jon in the restaurant and Jade at the bar. Will definitely use this hotel again without hesitation...as we have family in the area and this makes an ideal base for planning our various visits.

We asked for two single beds, as this is the only way i get my fair share of the bed! 😉 we where given a double. 😞

Loved how close to the M6 it was located but also loved the facilities available. All members of staff were friendly and helpful especially when it came to ordering food due to mum having allergies they provided the allergen book which meant she could see what she could eat and it didn’t seem to be a bother to anyone. Love the fact you are dog friendly and the walking areas around the carpark are really good to allow for them to walk around and all staff were welcoming towards my dog as well. Overall very happy with my stay and will be staying again.

The room was ample size, and spotless, tea and coffee facilities in the room as well as a hairdryer. The beds were very comfortable. Had an evening meal and breakfast, both were very tasty. The breakfast was self serve with lots of different choices. On both occasions the staff asked straight away on entering the dining room if anyone had a dietary restriction, this did not affect us but was nice to know for other family members who were not with us on this occasion Also noticed at breakfast there was a table in another part of the dining room that was a ‘ Gluten Free’ area. Although we did not have time to use the pool area, jacuzzi and other facilities, they looked clean and the people in there seemed to be enjoying them.

The Hotel is in a good location and in a quiet area. From arrival all the staff we encountered were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and functional. It was cleaned the next day too as we stayed two nights. We stayed DB&B and the meals offered good value and were delicious. This was both dinner and breakfast. The portion sizes were big and lots of choice at breakfast. Drinks are reasonably priced too. The pool is warm and was a nice extra as well as the whirlpool bath. What really made our stay overall great though were the staff who were super friendly and made it feel that nothing was an issue. This provided a wonderful atmosphere throughout the hotel. Will definitely return here again. Thank you.

Exceptional breakfast. Friendly staff.

Called hotel reservation number prior to arrival as we had a dog. A patronising agent decided to condemn me for not knowing the rules for dogs. She said I should have booked directly with hotel and not use a third party provider such as booking.com. The call was ended. The following day another call was made to the hotel reservation telephone number where another agent took over 20 minutes to tell me it was OK and gave me another booking number. Not a great experience and tbh I nearly cancelled the booking.
