Smart location in a cool neighbourhood, extremely well linked with buses and served with restaurants and pubs. Original choice of breakfast: breakfast was included and we had a limited but really interesting selection of options. Quality was really great. Kind staff in the hotel and well equipped fitness center open 24/7. Design furniture and cool atmosphere.

The final request at check-out for an optional tip for the service. That was the very first time it happened to me in a hotel: "no" would have maybe meant we did not appreciate the service, which was not, but we also thought that the price we paid was fair for the level of service we were provided. This moment embarrassed us and is the only shadow of an otherwise fabulous stay.

Super modern clean hotel, in a fabulous location. We had the South Suite, which has a roof top terrace, very well appointed with sofas and lighting. The lounge area was very cosy and we really enjoyed our stay. The restaurant downstairs had fabulous sushi and wine to take away. Really made for a stay which felt home from home but with an amazing cityscape view. The bed was incredibly comfortable with super large soft bedding.

It was really lovely and amazing for a City hotel. I personally like an indoor pool, and jacuzzi when I stay in hotels, especially if I'm paying to be in a Suite.

The hotel design is beautiful and the staff are friendly.

They added an optional service charge to the bill which is 5% of your nightly rate for every night of the stay. This wasn't something that I knew of in advance of staying there. If this is required so the staff are compensated fairly then please add it to the total cost of the room in advance. It's an awkward conversation for staff and customers to have this removed and leaves a negative ending to an otherwise lovely stay.

We had Plans for the weekend in Shoreditch and the hotel was perfectly placed for that. Very friendly staff ans nice room with amazingly comfy iz

Not a huge fan of "completely discretionary" surcharges that are suddenly added to the bill at the end of the stay.

Great location, lovely room, great bar, great products in the room and good deal on the room price

- I was asked out loud infront of other guests at the checking out process did I want to tip which was off putting to me. This should have been more discreet.

Music was quite loud in the lobby area in the evening, not a particularly relaxing place to grab a quick bite after travelling. Had to pay a £100 per night deposit on check-in. Was refunded within 24 hours after checkout but I was not expecting this, not sure if it was communicated anywhere. Was also charged an £8 a night service charge - not sure why as I didn't use the mini bar or any incidental services. Not a big deal, but again would be good if this was communicated upfront or folded into the basic per night rate

The hotel renovation from the old hotel was really impressive and rooms were clean and modern. Location is 10/10 for locals and tourists alike. The check in was quick and we were given a free vouchers for processo which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and room were nice and clean. Considering the level of people outside the noise was limited into the room so very impressed

The coffee facilities for the price didn't match, there should have been a simple Nespresso machine. Instead it was a cafeteria device, with them milk in plastic picked which were hard to open and the plastic waste isn't good. The coffee given really wasn't good so either don't have or improve for the price per night. Upon check out we were also asked if we wanted to give money for a charge to the staff which when we asked was a rule apparently introduced in July, I stay in hotels each week for work and I have never been asked this before, so please just pay staff more and avoid putting custom the spot.

I arrived to the hotel by taxi with my daughter for a concert .We were greeted by an Irish girl at reception ,her name was Karen Rose . She took the time to write down directions to and from the stadium which was a LIFE SAVER as we didn’t have a clue of the area . We checked in , room was so spacious with everything we needed even a clothes steamer !! Room had a fridge , safe, bathrobes and gorgeous toiletries. Also , each floor has a water mountain with still and sparkling water which was a god send after the concert . Beds so comfy and breakfast was in the very stylish sushi restaurant within the hotel . You’ll dodo have the option of a coffee shop within the hotel where you can purchase pastries and coffee for breakfast if it’s not included in your room rate . All in all we loved it .

Food at Breakfast was very good; shame the breakfast rate didn’t include a Latte! Bed very comfortable and big, hotel contemporary in style and Seed Library cocktail bar fun, interesting cocktails but expensive Shoreditch is a young, trendy, busy, noisy location. Love it or hate it. The hotel is a stylish oasis in the midst of it.

Rooftop bar was closed for private event Friday til 6:30 Paid Breakfast inclusive rate but told that didn’t include any coffee other than filter; that felt a bit cheap and didn’t come cross as particularly welcoming. Air conditioning in room was a bit aggressive.

The room was great for what I was paying. The bed, pillows and linens were top notch and when I requested additional pillows they asked "feather or standard" there was a selection, which is rare today. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Went above and beyond to help. From directions around the city, restaurant recommendations and fetching me ice in the middle of the night. Also, the toiletries provided are from an outfit out of NYC, DS & Durga, Debaser is the hotels' signature scent, light and lovely in elegant modern glass containers. No wasteful plastic. Overall, highly recommend.

The fine print of a 5% service charge on the overall bill. The housekeeping doesn't accept tips left in the room. I assume this is because of the 5% fee that is tacked onto the bill at the end of the visit. So when viewing the price up front add 5% for reality.
