The service was top notch 10/10. They took every request we had (it was a long stay so we had many requests) and made sure we were accommodated. The food was good and there were good options for meals.

In terms of negatives, it’s not really at the fault of the service, though i do have suggestions . I believe the heating was centralized in the building so we occasionally had to deal with a cold room and cold showers if the heating wasn’t working. We stayed in a larger room with many windows but the curtains they had weren’t very sufficient. I would recommend that they put heavier curtains on the windows and the balcony as well because there was a major cold draft coming from there. Other than that, it got a bit noisy late at night because of dogs but that can’t be helped so i dont fault the hotel for that.

I have been in Ethiopia for a conference, so I was not there for touristic purposes. I think this is an important information for those who will read my comment. The hotel was very close to the place where the conference was held so I could go walking. There are a couple of people begging for money in the streets but in the hotel surroudings I never suffered any type of dangerous. One must pay attention that the hotel is localized in a bussines center, surround by several other hotels, so security in this location is specially enhanced. There are a lot of facilities in the surroundings, but if u want to explore the city you must leave this beatiful bublle and go for the city. I liked eveyhting in the hotel. Wifi was working properly diverging from others comments that I have read. The city is cold at night but the recepcionist gave me extra blankets. Food can be served 24h and it tastes amazing! breakfast was amazing as well. one can order omelletes or scrambled eggs. Sauna is ok, nothing special. room was big and confortable. Transfer from hotel to aiport also worked very nicely.

Acoustic isolation of bedrooms is not good. Do no expect the workers to speak fluent English. Sometimes they want to treat you so gently that it almost embarasses you, but maybe it is just me and other people like it. There are some minor details in the strcuture of the bathrrons that need to be fixed. But nothing that damaged my stay.

Breakfast was from 08h00 to 10h00, which wasn’t so convenient because I was here for work and needed to leave early each day. The days I did have breakfast it was good!

Our stay at the Grand Palace Hotel was truly enjoyable, and we left with great memories of the wonderful hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who always welcomed us with a smile. Whether it was the cleaners, restaurant staff, receptionists, or gym attendants, everyone made us feel at home. The service was excellent across the board, and we particularly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere created by the people at the entrance. Each day, we felt as though we were returning to a place of comfort and warmth. During our stay, we were informed that the street in front of the hotel would be fixed soon. Once that improvement is made, we believe the Grand Palace will undoubtedly be the best hotel in the entire city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rank it a solid 9 out of 10. We look forward to returning and seeing the continued growth of such a fantastic hotel.

the hotel is very central at a very nice area with a lot of restaurants around. the reception was very nice, especially the guy whose name is difficult to remeber but i think it was Esayas. the ride to the airport with the hotel shuttle was also very smooth.

we booked this hotel the very last minute because of a change in our work schedule. it was a very busy week in Addis woth many hotels being fully booked. we were lucky we got this hotel.

Really nice hotel, with wonderful and friendly staff. The breakfast is excellent and has a nice variety of local and international food options. Eggs made to order, fresh juice, and good fruit salad. Good coffee as well. The rooms are a nice size, and the bed very comfy. The staff are extremely helpful. My only recommendation would be to add another towel in the bathroom for the floor in front of the shower, and for the hands. Otherwise very nice stay!

A very good hotel located just outside the UN compound, ideal for those coming to attend can event there Staff are very efficient and professional. The bed is very comfortable. There is a fantastic gym and steam room. My room also had a great view of the Addis city center skyline.

- The elevator is noisy as its mechanism echoes within the building and regardless of where your room is located. There was late night noise from disrespectful neighbours on my floor, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. - Lighting in the room should be increased

Young and very humble, and hard working staff

The management policy that a guest cannot be able to bring in food from outside. What if the guest has a medical condition (such as diabetes) that requires special diet? What about respecting individual choices- what if someone wants to get pizza? The hotel doesn’t have this on its menu. I presume that this is a simple issue for the hotel to rectify.

Beautiful property that was easy and quick to get to from the airport. All of the staff have been exceptionally helpful and anticipated our needs. Daniel, who manages the restaurant, was very kind and his staff at the restaurant were all very quick to see our needs and help us. The front desk helped us arrange for a driver to Entoto Park and were very kind. I highly recommend!
