Friendly staff, lovely pool and sun beds, great spot for food across the road, nice stop off place after island hopping.

The mosquitos! There was so many mosquitos in the property, especially around the communal bathroom area, the sink, the toilets, the shower I’ve never seen so many, and in our room. My legs were bitten so much after just 2 nights, never had it so bad. They really really need to put some mosquito coils around, especially the bathroom area, and remove the open water jugs with flowers to stop attracting them.

Bluewater is a decent lodge which offers affordable accommodation at only few steps to the Wailoaloa beach and the airport. Many beach clubs around, with affordable food and drinks options - its Fiji! There is also nice supermarket just 2min walking distance, super handy. I stayed in a Private Room with own ensuite, it catered nicely for the price paid. The secret for this place it is its people. Shoutout to Eggi, Tex and Jeff, who made my time there unforgettable. Would recommend.

A few touches of maintenance in the common areas would make the experience a bit more pleasant. The pool and the garden could be cleaner. Breakfast prices with good but simple items are the same of other more substantial places, which made me go somewhere else on the second day.

Location was ok. Staff were friendly and did their best to accomodate us. The pool was lovely too especially during the hot weather and the air condition was working well.

Taxis around the wailoaloa area tend to be more expensive and charged a more pricier fare compared to taking the taxis in town. Also most of the taxi drivers wouldnt run their meter which made the prices suspicious. Also laundry at the lodge was overpriced (50 fijian dollars for one load compared to other dry cleaning facilities eg laundrymat charged only 10 to 15 fijian dollars per load). Recommend before boarding any taxis in the wailoaloa area to request them to run their meters and if they dont have a meter better to wait for another taxi as there would be many around the area except on sundays when getting a taxi would be harder. Also best to do your laundry elsewhere rather than the lodge.

Aggie gave a very friendly reception and informative. We required medical help and were greatly assisted. Taxi from airport was 25 FJD. Room 6 was very spacious. Hotel is only a very short stroll to Wailoaloa Beach. Pleasant affordable restaurant across the road

I had a pleasant experience at this accommodation. The staff was remarkably friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with guest needs and provide helpful information. The room was clean, and the bathroom was well maintained and clean The hotel's location is highly convenient, just a short taxi ride (around 20 FJD) from the airport, making it an excellent choice for transit travellers. If you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-kept place to rest between flights, this hotel is more than suitable.

I stayed here twice within a three-month period. During my first visit, I accidentally left behind a personal item. I immediately messaged the property, and they confirmed that they had found the item. I kindly requested that they label it and hold onto it so I could collect it on my next visit. Unfortunately, when I returned for my second stay, the item was no longer available. It appears there may have been a miscommunication between the person who handled my initial message and the front desk staff. While I appreciate the overall hospitality and accommodation, I am disappointed that the commitment to keep my item was not upheld. I hope that the management takes note and improves internal communication to avoid similar situations in the future.

The room was clean and comfortable, The pool area was fantastic, well-kept, and perfect for unwinding. Aggie the manager and Rosi was very helpful in helping us organise our day trips and booking our drivers for us. Tass also helped us with arts and crafts, she was very patient with the many questions we had. Overall, the place had a really welcoming vibe, with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The reason why I booked this place is because my friend likes her coffee and this place delivered.

There is nothing that we didn't like

Friendly staff. It’s near other hotels and accommodations, easy to take shuttles for ferry. There’s also a supermarket and few restaurants nearby. I was very concerned about the bed bug situation and I messaged to address the concern. The hostel assured me that they’ve taken action, and fortunately no bed bugs

The mixed dorm, very simple? You get what you pay for the value. Would be nicer if there’s females only room, did not get any sleep as there were people talking outside and people snoring inside

There is airco in the room, very nice. Also locker in the room. The stuff are very helpful and friendly. The pool was A M A Z I N G :)

Shower outside is horrible, there are lot mosquitos. There is no kitchen, only a water cooker.

Bluewater Lodge is a low cost no frills establishment offering backpacker and private accommodation. It is in need of some upgrading but the new owner has already made a commitment and is currently seeking costings. The cost was less than one third of our (cancelled) original booking. When we arrived I was nursing an abscessed tooth. No problem. I was driven to a dentist then a clinic, back to the dentist and finally to a pharmacy. The atmosphere was friendly, the people were of mixed ages, 18 to 80+. Close to Denarau and Nadi the location was great. There was a bus stop at the end of the road and taxis were available near the manor hotels. Within walking distance were shops. restaurants and an excellent beach although the Lodge had an adequate pool. We had a 7 by 7m room, tiled floor, a bathroom with a bath and separate shower, a very comfortable bed, two chairs, good storage and wifi and unlimited air conditioning.

The communal fridge was downstairs. With cheap food in abundance that didn't matter. No tea making facilities.

Bluewater Lodge was a wonderful place to stay and a perfect jumping off point for our trip to the islands. The staff were all so warm and friendly, and made us feel right at home :) Also, the bed was comfy, the room and bathroom were simple but very clean, and the pool was fabulous to relax by. Just a few feet away are loads of different restaurants and beach-side bar. The beach isn’t good to swim at but lovely to have a drink by. Would definitely return. By the way - across the road is a tiny restaurant (Beach Escape Resort) - super lowkey and less noticeable than the big resort restaurants by the beach. However, the food is really good and much cheaper - the fish curry there was the best I’ve ever had so definitely pay it a visit if staying at Bluewater! Way better than the super busy & pricey beach restaurants.

Only thing I would say is one of the window panes in our room was smashed and taped together, which, because we were on the bottom floor and our window was closest to the street, made us feel a tiny bit unsafe for our belongings. But it was all fine and this was a minor qualm.
