Very close to the airport. So close in fact that it was almost embarrassing getting on the free shuttle bus when we could have easily walked! However it was dark when we arrived so it was easier to go on the mini bus. The communication prior to arrival was great. The room was large and well set out for a family with the king bed being in a separate section to the bunks wi beds . Each section had its own TV! The pool was an excellent size . Enough to do your early morning swim if so desired. Our grandson loved the waterslide. All Staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner we ordered was plentiful and tasty.

I’m a bit of a travel breakfast snob I suppose……..I think the continental breakfast should have been included in the room rate. Paying $80 FJD for 3 adults is way too much considering it’s so basic. Breads, fruit, cereal and yoghurt . Stale or defrosted croissants…..Most people at this hotel would be starting or finishing their holiday and it’s always nice to have a fancy breakfast that you would never bother with at home. Having said that, you can order from the menu if you so desire. We should have . In short , skip the continental breakfast and go straight to the menu.

The room was great and staff at reception were very good as per my feedback. However on returning home I was unpacking and realised all my jewellery was missing. I lost 4 pairs of earring, a pair of bangles and two necklaces

Please return the stolen jewellery

There weren't any instructions to go down to reception to get a pool towel if you wanted a swim. I took my room towel, only to be told I need one from reception which was embarrassing. Would of liked to have seen more fijian food in resteraunt. Also, we went downstairs to get pamphlet on a tour and was told we don't book one, the hotel will call a taxi and we can just go. After already following those instructions the day before, it cost more for the taxi than the tour did. My advice would be book a tour that picks you up and drops you off.

Very comfortable, spacious and quiet room with all amenities, good air condition, private terrace, refrigerator, all perfect! Also, very nice outside restaurant area, excellent food, friendly and attentive service!

Management of booking.com procedures need improvement - or, rather, make booking and payment directly with the hotel! I stayed here twice within three weeks, both through booking.com: the first time, the hotel could not find my booking, and it then took 30 minutes and three staff members to eventually find it; the second time, I needed to wait again for 30 minutes to get my final bill since the credit transfer from booking.com did not show properly. While all staff was eager to solve the problem fast, apparently the booking.com procedures are not integrated well into the hotels own systems.

The hotel is only a 2 min walk from the airport, which makes it really convenient to get a taxi, and to get to if you're catching a plane. The staff were 10/10, really helpful, friendly. One of the ladies went out of her way to check if they something we were looking for. The hotel was really clean.

Though the location is good for those who want to be near the airport, it's about a 10-15 drive away from Nadi town. You need to get a taxi to get to anywhere worth visiting. We were prepared for this, but worth noting if you dont want to pay for taxis everyday. In our room (room 721), the water pressure for both the shower and tap were pretty poor. The restaurant doesn't have the widest range of foods on it's menu, or as part of it's continental breakfast.

Great location within walking distance to airport and free shuttle to airport in early hours of morning provided for my elderly mother-in-law much appreciated. Pool and surroundings were very nice. Good prices in bar and restaurant after being in a resort. Choices of food options was plentiful and meals generous.

There weren't enough loungers around the pool for the amount of people staying and wanting to lie in the sun. Room was a bit noisy with traffic and train tooting, also ambulances seem to go past quite regularly. But these are only two minor things as really not that bad.

Second time staying there layover flight great to see renovations done

I recently brought a group of 24 travelers to Fiji (university students), and, as with 3 previous groups, we used Fiji Gateway Hotel as our base. We stayed three days upon arrival, two nights mid-trip, and then again booked day rooms on our departure day. The staff is always so warm and welcoming, the restaurant and bar provide excellent food/drinks in a comfortable garden/pool setting, the rooms are a very good value and comfortable, and location is perfect, as we just walk across the road from the airport. Whenever I arrive at the Gateway, I feel like I am coming home, and then departing is always sad. It's a special place that offers a clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay when in Nadi.

The Fiji Gateway Hotel was a bit of a surprise - in the best possible way. We selected it due to late incoming and early departing flights at each end of our stay in Fiji (we stayed at another resort for the bulk of the trip), and it was literally an easy walk across the road from the airport and yet they have a shuttle for that short distance (let's be honest here - nobody wants to walk a suitcase anywhere after a long flight!). The hotel was much bigger than we realised. It was spacious, had an incredible pool with a fun slide, poolside food service, a great resturant, and baggage minding before/after check-in/out. Airport noise was not an issue and rooms/bathrooms were really clean and comfortable. A small on-site souvenir shop saved us from those last minute forgotten items to bring home. And of course, the absolutely lovely staff. Bula, Vinaka!!

Nothing, everything was positive and it would be a no-brainer to stay here again on future visits.

Perfect for a stay before an early flight the next day as across the road from the airport, large pool area with slide. Excellent restaurant, service was quick, food was delicious and a lot cheaper than on the islands - a great little shop in the lobby too. Check in was quick and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and had a small patio area with seats that you could walk out to the pool. Shower was very good! Shuttle service to the airport was fast and free!

Noise outside our room window by the pool from other guests late at night - downside to a ground floor room. Not enough sun loungers around the pool area.
