A very traditionally styled Canadian hotel with a lovely on site dining area called 'Tom's' which was very authentic and served excellent food. Breakfast was varied and very good. Lovely outdoor pool. We had a room with a spa suite which was excellent and huge in size.

We arrived by train, the station is on the outskirts of Kingston and then took the bus to the hotel only 10 minutes by bus then a 7 minute walk as the location without a car is out of town so either a 50 minute walk into Kingston or bus which only took coins exact fare or pre paid bus tickets from a shop in Kingston.

the location was perfect..... liked the looks of the place, similar to an alpine/ Alps building. Our room had 2 beds, a couch to sit and watch t.v. or read and a fireplace as well as a large t.v. and also a large desk, excellent for computer work................. We received free breakfasts for 2 for both mornings and they had EVERYTHING from fruit..toast.... eggs.... hash browns.... sausage.... brown beans..... juice (3 types) ...waffles..... think the walk in price for somebody buying breakfast was 20.95 so clearly they offered a huge selection.... so very good deal if you stay there and get it for free................ hot water, it was hot and it arrived really quickly, that's a big plus!

the tap water pressure was rather weak, but getting the hot water so fast more than offset that............... so the only other thing was the toilet seats, they are really low. I, like many travellers, am a senior and you really had to careful..... mentioned it at checkout and was told they have started to replace them with higher ones.

Breakfast was included, and it was a step up from most included breakfasts. We had dinner in the pub, and it was an interesting experience. The food was top notch, but the decor was a step above most pubs!! Parking was very convenient. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but a member of the staff offered to carry our luggage. The rooms are decorated in a Colonial style, and ours had a gas fireplace. Very comfortable. Easy access from highway 401.

This is a unique and rustic hotel. We absolutely loved the pool area. We went mid july so the temperature of the pool was perfect.

I didnt like there was no microwave.. but there was a fridge. Our sink did not drain in our room and was completely filled up and the toilet had trouble flushing however, I called to let them know and they upgraded us to a king suite and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was good.

That they listened to what I needed and it was perfect for my mom who is elderly and has a very hard time walking long distances. Loved that there was a pub and restaurant on site. This was major. Breakfast was included. Staff was very friendly. Exceptional staff. In all areas.

Could use some updating for sure but was very clean. Newer TV would have also been nice.

I thought front desk staff could have been more welcoming. Called back to question charges on my credit card and talked to front desk staff who seemed abrupt and not very friendly. I have been in business for over 40 years and I have stayed at many hotels. I think a friendly, customer service oriented front desk staff should be expected.

We had such a great time. The room was so cozy. It was very clean and no musty smell. The breakfast that was included was above expectations. The pool was great. We had supper at Tom's place, one of the 2 on site restaurants and it was fabulous.

My husband ordered the romantic package of champagne and strawberries to be waiting in the room as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. With tax it was $37.95. I would not recommend wasting your money as it consisted of an Ontario bottle if sparkling rose and 2 medium sized strawberries.

Had a lovely stay in a very clean, quaint environment. Outdoor pool was lovely. Convenient bar/restaurant on site, as well as a high class restaurant. Free breakfast was served in the restaurant

Staff on front desk were exceptionally helpful. Outdoor swimming pool was a nice facility Breakfast was very good & restaurant did not disappoint.

Proximity to Kingston was not great & buses only accepted cash with no change facility which was a little problematic

The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable.

We had a guest above us herd elephants through their room at 6am. I called the front desk, but I don't believe the issue was dealt with. Our good night sleep ended at 6
