The room was a little crowded furniture wise, but it was a lovely big bed. Double hand basins was great and plenty of room to spread out a bit. We had a rental car, so parking on site was essential. Having a rental made it super easy for getting into downtown Kingston and doing all those touristy things!

The car park was just part of the general shopping area; although we were assured at reception that it is monitored on CCTV. The ceiling of the underground parking area was obviously having issues with leaking and looked as though parts of it might be unsafe to park under. It did look as though this was being worked on to repair this and the car park may not be solely the responsibility of the hotel.

It was all what we needed in out short stay at Kingston, spacious and clean rooms fully renovated hotel, very clean and modern bathroom. I loved the hotel lobby downstairs. The room had a snll fridge, coffee machine and a microwave in additon to tv, and free wifi. I love the his and hers vanity unit in the bathroom 😍. The staff were nice and courteous. This is my second time I stay at Strata Hotel. I stayed for a week with my husband and daughter two years ago. It was under reno work but now we were excited to see how it looked after the work was done. Highly recommend it for a stay in reasonable priced and comfortable hotel rooms.

Rooms and bathrooms

This hotel is not much to look at from the outside given it is part of a strip mall. Yet when inside, it is a very welcoming place with a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. The room we had was large and very comfortable. The whole experience is quirky in a surprisingly pleasant way. We had a great stay and it is the hotel to stay at if you are tired of the same old thing hotel chains offer.

The enterence to the hotel is not easy to locate.

Too bulky furniture leaving a narrow area to cross from one side of room to other side. Cannot fit desk chair in front of desk! TV difficult to turn on. Glass door of shower too short causing easy water splashing outside of tub area. There should be a "hold" on the $50, NOT having this amount billed to credit card on check-in. We have never seen hotels do that.

Wonderful front desk. Bright breakfast area with lounge. Room was clean and with large bright window. Although the bathroom was smallish it was well appointed. However shower pressure was not great in Room 219. Elevator access was excellent

Just a little bit distant from downtown. Not really walkable. May we suggest a shuttle bus..Kingston is very beautiful in its core and lake location.

I’ve stayed at the property before when it was under different ownership. Strata is a huge improvement over its predecessors. The hotel is quite nice overall. The room was very nice, comfortable, clean, with hardwood flooring, the bathroom was nice, as were the furnishings. The lobby was also nicely appointed and comfortable.

Some of the basic building facilities need some attention. The elevator was not clean, the entrance door would be better if it was an airlock system with automatic doors rather than a manual operated door (much more convenient when someone is dragging luggage behind them). Some food options would be nice besides breakfast. There are two restaurants next door, but no pedestrian path to get there except the sidewalk, which was covered in snow and ice.

The hotel is very clean, has a pleasant decor and the rooms are far better than in some very well known 4 star hotels. Things that are important were great..Beds are comfortable, bath is well equipped and clean, the AC unit is quiet. There is a great coffee machine, small fridge and microwave provided. My favourite touch is a dimmed down bath mirror with a defogger. But most of all the staff is that makes the difference. Especially the receptionists that double as bar staff.

Nothing to complain about

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The location is also good there is a Pizza Hut right beside the hotel. They also have covered parking. They have Google Chrome so you can connect your mobile devices (don't forget to reset the chrome stick though)

The pillows could be more firm. They don't clean the room if you don't specifically request it. You have to pay for breakfast. Also, they should have an access option (using the room key) from the other side of the hotel. The elevator/ stairs are on one side of the hotel. So you have to walk all the way to go in and out of the hotel.

It was a lovely hotel . Our room was spacious . The bathroom was beautifully appointed with excellent fittings and very stylish. Our room was at the back of the motel so it was very quiet. The lady who checked us in at the front desk was friendly and accomodating and gave us useful information. You will need a car to drive to Kingston waterfront.

Clean room, comfortable beds, perfect for our quick road trip stop.

The lobby was empty when we arrived (around 10 pm), and we had to wait for about 10 minutes for someone to arrive so we could check in. No biggie, but after a 14 hour driving day, we just wanted to get to our beds.
