The room was clean and the decor was fairly modern. The location is excellent too. It is very near the Eulgiro-il ga station and a 10mins walk away from the Myeongdong station, making it very accessible. The staff was also friendly and calm despite the issue with breakfast.

The hotel insisted that the included breakfast is for 2 only and charged me for breakfast for my child even though it's stated as breakfast included in my booking. They said it was a Booking.com issue and asked me to take it up with Booking.com. Not sure if this is an issue with Booking.com not including the proper information or the hotel not listing it properly on Booking.com. This should have been settled between the hotel and booking.com, and I shouldn't have been made to liaise between these 2 parties with regards to this issue. I would have given it a higher rating if it wasn't for this issue.

Location is superb. Right next to Myeongdong n Lotte dept store is opposite. Airport bus stops steps away. Airport bus highly recommended as one doesn’t need to carry luggage around. If taking bus, drop off at Ibis Hotel/Lotte Hotel stop. Then look for Apple Store. The hotel entrance is behind Apple Store, same building. Recep is on 9th floor. Washing machines n dryers are on 10th floor. 3k won per wash n per dry. Total 6k won. Need to buy washing detergent 500 won.

location is the best feature, straight alight from airport limo bus (Ibis hotel) stop and it's just a few mins to the hotel right beside Musinsa Standard and directly under the hotel is a Apple Store. Can look for the apple logo and that's where you can find the hotel.

nothing serious but would love the rooms to have a rug for drying your feet after shower, had to use the extra small towels to serve it's function. take note that there is no level separation between the toilet and the room so if by any chance you "flood" the toilet it will seep over the room carpet.

Location is the best. At the heart of Seoul, really close to get to the main palaces by walking. In the middle of a very buzzy area with lots of shops and food places. The hotel is comfortable, clean and has great views.

There is no breakfast included or any other service for that matter. Relation price-quality is ok, although probably a bit higher, but you pay the location.

The location can't be beat for Seoul tourist visit. Nearby metro and bus stops, Myeongdong food --steps away, walking distance tourist sites (ie Palace, Insadong area), great shopping and food across the street, easy airport drop-off and pick-up by limo bus or hired car, staff eager to help, AND PRICE WAS REASONABLE mid-price.

Don't like the trash bin next to the toilet for used toilet tissue. Front coffee kiosk at restaurant was not staffed when I went there and the restaurant staff kept directing me to sit in the restaurant. Don't know if there was a language barrier. Didn't eat at restaurant with so much good food in the neighborhood and at Lotte

loved the location. super convenient, 3 min walk to metro & 1 min walk to bus limo stop. Lots of shops & restaurants all around. There are 2 entrances to the building, but you can see the hotel sign only on 1 side of the building. There's an apple store in the same building and it's directly across the main road from Lotte Department/duty free store. They have a 24 hours convenience kiosk on the 9th floor (lobby) where you can buy ramen, snacks, beverages.

the bathtub shower's design in the family edge room was dumb. the tub edge was higher so there was like a "drain" around the tub collecting water and the water would spill over to the rest of the bathroom making the floor all wet. Shower curtains didn't help much. You have to improvise a little with towels to keep the toilet dry. Water pressure was not strong enough either. 2 sides of the room were all glass, so the room was cold even if heated. Don't sleep right next to the window during winter. you will freeze your arm off. If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. You can hear people laughing/talking in the next room and traffic sounds. I stayed at room 1506.

Location is great! Just next to subway and Myeong Dong shopping street. Room is very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bedding. Room size is acceptable for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Self serve groceries at the hotel lobby. Water station on every floor. Direct lift from ground floor to room floors. Room service is attentive to requests Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for the great hospitality 🙏🏻👍🏻

Temperature of shower is sometimes unstable. Breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing. Really nothing major to complain about. Great stay!

Location is just absolutely fabulous. You couldn’t get anymore central to all things touristy, night markets, shops (Olive Young right outside your doorsteps!), lots of restaurants and cafes. The subway is about 5 mins walk away.

The interior of the hotel room is quite dated. Carpets and bathrooms (shower over bath) need an update. Very bare basic amenities inside the room. If you need to iron your clothes every morning before you head outdoors, you will need to go down to L10 to the laundry room (next to the gym) where the iron facilities are there for use. In addition, bathroom amenities are provided in limited supply. I had to request for additional shower cap, soap, tissue upon check in.

Stanford Hotel Myeongdong went above and beyond my expectations. This was my first time to Korea. They provided 2 new waters every time you got housekeeping & the shower was so clean. The staff were superb and i felt so welcome and supported. I will be returning for my next trip. I loved the location so much. It was quiet, clean, and a warm & lovely stay. They have microwave downstairs & everytime i needed something i called front desk & they helped so much!!! HIGHLY RECOMEND
