Club Quarters is a fantastic place to stay! The front desk staff are always warm and welcoming, greeting you with a smile whether you're arriving or departing. The location is ideal, with stunning views of the river and Trump Tower right across. The rooms are well-maintained and in great condition, and the hotel provides excellent service and amenities. A special highlight is the complimentary coffee machine in each room, the professional espresso machine in the lobby, and the refillable water stations on every floor, these thoughtful touches really enhance the overall experience. Highly recommended!

The hotel appears a bit aged, but it's not a big deal as it is well-maintained.

Cleanliness

Got a phone call from the front desk at 3am aggressively accusing me and my partner of smoking in our bedroom and threatening to kick us out of the room. There was zero smoke in our room or near our room with nothing to smoke in our room or an ignition source. Desk worker yelled over my voice over the phone and left me no time to respond and explain it wasn’t me and my partner. That left me extremely heated and disappointed. I even felt offended to be honest.

The room was very comfortable, it was in an excellent location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The building is a classic and it was enjoyable to be up in the high tower, despite occasional waits for the elevator. There were plenty of nearby restaurants and bars and the tourist attractions are very close.

There is a tower around the corner with the name of a 34-count felon on it, someone who led a violent and deadly insurrection against his own government. The entire neighbourhood would double in value if that tower were torn down and replaced by a park. It is very disturbing to anyone passing by.

Staff in the front office were welcoming, kind & helpful. I liked being able to meet family members in the Lounge on the 2nd floor. Tea/coffee/expresso available at any time :) Also, facilities available for doing own laundry.

Beds were short for tall people (which didn’t affect us bc we are shorties;). Rooms were narrow/fairly small. No outdoor patio. No yoga room. It would be nice if there were organic decaf herbal tea options such as peppermint & lemon/ginger teas. When doing laundry I had trouble getting the dryer to start so I had to call for help :/ The lady did it the same way that I did but instead of touching the start button as it did to start the washer, she held it for 3 seconds & voilá, it worked.

1) Location (Riverwalk, Magnificent Mile, Art Institute, theatres...) 2) You can fill your bottles of purified water at each floor 3) Comfortable but informal lobby where you can have access to free coffee or tea 4) Sofa in family room with kitchenette is comfortable, at least for people around 50 kg weight. 5) Friendly and efficient staff 6) Management of baggage deposit. 7) Very comfortable beds.

Well, we were afraid about the elevators because of the other reviews but, maybe as we were not there at weekends or had different schedules from other customers, we experienced a queue just once in six days (16th floor). Bathroom a bit old and cupboard door not cleaned.

I was upgraded because of lack of availability of category I booked. Much appreciated.

Entry to hotel when windy the door is really hard to open. Then if laden with bags, difficult to go through revolving door. If either don’t have or can’t get at room fob, can’t use the handicap access. When I finally got Pedro’s attention (he is with reception), he debated with me about needing to use the handicap access (I do not use a wheelchair) rather than helping me with my bags. He doesn’t have the skills for a customer service role.

The room was nice and clean, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met, always greeting me with a smile and offering helpful recommendations for local attractions. The great location was a major highlight, with easy access to downtown Chicago’s top sights, restaurants, and shopping. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city—it’s a fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers!

The hotel provided a separate blower to serve as a heater, which was a temporary fix but not an ideal solution.

My room was very comfortable and overlooked the river. Location was outstanding, allowing me to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. Reception staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. They always farewelled me and wished me well for my day's outing and greeted me on my return. Shared coffee lounge was comfortable and well furnished. Part of my reason for choosing to stay at Club Quarters is the all day coffee and complimentary self serve laundry. Please bring back the complimentary sparkling water :-)

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The view up the river with all the bridges was gorgeous; worth the upgrade. The view directly across the street, not so much. The lobby is gorgeous.

That the max temp in the room was 65. It was April and 55 degrees outside, so I did not understand this. I had to request a heater. Also, the bed was pretty lumpy like it had been slept on by too many people. Time for a mattress update, folks! Worst, though, was getting woken up several times in the morning by (I believe) the guests directly above me; loud bangs on their floor.

Brilliant location for exploring Chicago - very central & near several L train stations, restaurants, & supermarkets. Reception staff - especially Ronnie - were very helpful. I was given a rather dark room (#812) my first night (which did not resemble the bright picture on the website), but Ronnie managed to switch me to a much better room for my next 3 nights. Bed was extremely comfortable, and good quality bed linen and towels. Free water and coffee 24/7 in the lounge on the 2nd floor. I would definitely go back there again!

Carpet throughout the hotel is rather old and frayed (but everything felt clean). The lifts can take a long time to come (5+ mins once) because they have to service a 40 storey building, so just be a little patient in "peak" hours.
