Breakfast options were good with plenty of options. Brownie points for having a waffle machine. We definitely enjoyed the complementary 24-hr access coffee/tea lounge area. Clean rooms WITH washcloths ( I know, it probably is not that exciting for any of my American neighbors, but my family and I just returned from Europe where most hotels do NOT provide washcloths). So… I’m just sayin’ thanks for providing the standard. And I would even say you could offer multiple wash cloths for people who might have to shower twice before they leave. Loved the location for easy walk to the South Shoreline Train at Millennium Station that takes you to South Bend. Early check-in was available. Fresh towels in the gym area. Business center was great with nearby bathrooms that offered complimentary feminine products.

When I used the gym there were no sanitizer bottles or rags/wipes to wipe down the machine. Please introduce this into your care for the gym as well as updating your water dispenser as it was out of water. I work at a gym and we provide plenty of sanitizing stations to represent cleanliness and safety. Thank you for considering this.

As you enter the property, you are transported back to the magnificent 1920s! The lobby is stunning with many of the original decor. The staff were friendly and helpful providing useful information about local scenery. The rooms are clean and the bed was SO comfortable. I often don’t sleep well away from home, but I had some of the best sleep of my life. In addition! For those of you who are obsessed with Peloton like myself- there is a Peloton bike in the gym :)

The only downside is that I would have loved to have free weights in the gym to follow the rest of my workout regime.

The things we loved the most was the location. It was close to everything!!! We stayed for a whole week, and not once did they repeat the way the eggs were done, from omelets to frittatas and scrambled, we had a variety of choices. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The size of the room was a little small.

The room is spacious, bed is comfortable, amenities are great, within reasonable walking distance to popular areas. I think the price is reasonable for the comfort.

When I checked in, the staff said that my reservation was unavailable. Not sure what went wrong, it seemed like the reservation didn't go through to their system. It took a while for the staff to figure it out. I think he ended up making a new booking or something, I wasn't sure. But after about 10 minutes, I could get in to my room, and there was additional charges (because I already paid via booking.com). Another think I don't really like is that my room has a connecting door, so I can hear people talking from the other room, which is not comfortable. But I decided told them to not talk loudly because I couldn't sleep otherwise. So, if you are a light sleeper, make sure that you don't get a room with connecting door.

The breakfast was served, and it was more than enough to fill my stomach. Eggs, muffin, bagel, waffles, yogurt, and etc were good. The employees working at the cafeteria worked diligently to replenish all the food. When my flight was delayed and canceled to due to maintenance issues, the hotel employee was very accommodating.

I think the security deposit of $70 per night is a bit excessive.

The Location was perfect walkable for everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was ok varied each day Loved the car on the balcony

Sofabed not made up got moved as marked ready on computer but it wasn't so went back to first room. Bedding delivered but still not made up when we got back. We did it ourselves & found base sheet from last time still on! All but conditioner empty in the bath & black hair on the bottle. Disposable plates etc for breakfast why so wasteful then ran out of plates one day! Reception guy was lovely & helpful but breakfast staff a bit rude & unhelpful.

Everything was great. Breakfast was included and at least had eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, plus the usual breads, yogurt, waffles, fruit, muffin, etc. Good coffee station was available 24/7. Everyone at the front desk was amazingly helpful: I had a package delivered to the hotel but it got delayed… and they offered to receive it even though I had checked out. I was staying in Chicago for a few more days, so I checked on the delivery a few times a day with them until it came 3 days after. They were great about it!!

The breakfast was amazing and so many options that were different each day. The bedroom was specious, very friendly staff and a perfect location. We could walk to all the sightseeing.

The bathroom would flood if you used the shower even with the shower curtain. There was no cleaning service unless you requested this which I find a very good idea for the environment and to cut costs but when you did request something it took long and you had to ask a couple times.

I loved the hotel's location, it was within walking distance of all major establishments and key tourist areas. I also enjoyed the free breakfast.

The hotel staff did not properly clean our room during housekeeping. They missed emptying one of the trash bins, and they also didn’t clean the bathroom.

The location was really convenient and close to the conference venues and to shops and eating places. I was surprised by the spaciousness of the room. It was a corner room and it was really spacious for one person, definitely no issue for 2 persons occupancy. I like that the hotel is going green. It was also a breeze to ask for toiletries at the reception when I ran out of conditioner and the receptionists were more than happy to assist. The breakfast was great, although simple fare such as an egg dish, meat dish and potato dish, it was hot! Nothing beats hot breakfast on a cold spring morning. There was also a waffle making station as well as cereals, bread, muffins and yoghurt. I didn't realise when I booked to stay at Hampton Inn that it is a heritage building. It was a real delight and bonus to stay here!

The heating goes off at night and it was a bit cold especially for someone like me who lives near the equator. However I can understand that it is part of green efforts.
