Loved how close it was to Toji station. It was also well located within walking distance to temples and shrines that were magnificent. The little restaurant a few doors up had the most amazing food. We also thought the sweets time (afternoon tea, coffee and snacks) offered in the library cafe (for free) each day was a lovely bonus! And a great way to connect. It felt nice and safe to have reception staff on to greet you and assist with check in, bookings or general questions. The staff were so kind and friendly. Great for our family with small kids (family of 4). The bathroom had a full bath which was great for kids to wash up each night.

Would've loved bunk beds in the room to give my kids a bed each. But we had fun pushing two singles together and sharing a bigger bed for 3 (mum and two small kids). It really is a lovely hotel, clean and well looked after.

Breakfast choice are plentiful from western to eastern. The rest area is open until 11PM. Coffee all day long! There are 2 restaurants (see photos) nearby but i didn't go in. Other places like Lawson, KFC, Family Mart and FRESCO are walking distance. This is a brand new hotel and comfortable stay. Bathtub available and the triple bed bedroom is quite big. Staff very polite and helpful. I lost my hotel key and get replace with no charge. Location is perfect because near Toji Station (Kintentsu Line). May need to take bus to other attraction place in Kyoto. Hotel has the travelling guide (bus/train) printed copy for free. Money changing kiosk also available at the lobby for emergency use.

Washing machine with dryer function, seems a bit doubtful on the cleanliness. Total 3 machines and most of the time are occupied. There are dobby outside hotel but quite far away.

Good breakfast and the rooms are quite large. The hotel is very modern. The coin washer/dryer combination was very usedul too. They lend out umbrellas for free on rainy days. Out the door and head left for 5 minutes there's a Family Mart with a bar in it that has a decent selection of Japanese whiskey, sake and gin. Highly recommended.

Check out time at 10 a.m. is quite tight, particularly given that check-in is at 3 p.m.

Friendliness of staff, clear laundry display for guests, tv able to access YouTube etc, room was comfortable, free snacks and drinks provided on the courtesy of the hotel.

EVERYTHING!!! Facilities, service, location. But most of all, the rooms are great! This is the best value for this price point. Book it!

Huge bed, super comfortable. The air con was a life saver. The facilities were excellent, and so convenient. The staff was very helpful and polite. And the whole place was just spotless. The room itself was quite large, and the tv was nice as it displayed the weather and the wifi details, and I loved the pyjamas left for us to use. Honestly it was just great, we will go with them again in the future.

I can’t really say anything negative, didn’t have a single negative thought about it the whole time we were there. One thing worth mentioning is that it is a 30 minute bus drive to the main city area, so if you’re coming to Kyoto for nights out that could be inconvenient. Wasn’t an issue for us as we only went to that area twice.

wish it had more restaurants nearby although the nice little bakery, izakaya, Mo’s burger and konbinis are enough and Aeon Mall is just a 5 minute walk

The hotel and amenities offered everything we needed during our 2 weeks stay. From kitchen available downstairs 24/7 (drinks, ice machine, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, snacks) to clean towels delivered to our door every single morning. However, the staff deserves the biggest credit - our room got upgraded upon our arrival without us even asking, the whole team welcomed us each time coming in and out of the hotel, they provided us with iron, ironing board, scale for suitcases and everything else we have needed on the spot (massager, hair styling tools etc.). You couldn’t fault anything. The whole place was spotless and 1hr late check out was free of charge. Location is also perfect, you have train and bus station right outside. Will be back for sure.

1. In room TV so limited to local channel (it was smart TV with japanese remote control, english remote control for international travelers was preferable) 2. Room minibar were oddly positioned (preferable if positioned near TV or bed rather than it was placed between bathroom and entrance door which are far away from bed / relaxing area) 3. Room lighting configuration was made with a single option (light on / off) for the entire room, which means if turned off it will be no light at all for the entire room, some people prefer to sleep with a little light on, so we slept with bathroom door opened and make use of the bathroom light)

This hotel stays true to its name - Comfort Hotel, and indeed we were very much comfortable throughout our stay. It is exceptional. 👍👍👍. 1. The room was spacious and it had everything we needed. Clean towels were provided daily and they also provide comfortable sleepwear :) 2. All of the staff were very helpful and courteous - from the self check-in machine to the daily breakfast to the luggage storage after check out, our requests for band aids for my daughter - everybody was very helpful. 3. Location - just in front of Kintetsu train station and 2 and 3 blocks away from bus terminal on both sides, and with restaurants, a supermarket and convenience stores nearby. About 15min walk to Kyoto station and 10mins to Aeon mall. And most importantly located in the quier side of Kyoto :) 4. Breakfast was also delicious and it had a wide variety of breads, salad and smoothies - plus the japanese sausages, eggs, meat and veggies. 5. Reasonably priced - For the rate that we paid, this hotel exceeded my expectations. 6. Amenities - their dining area was beautifully-decorated and it also serves as a library/reading area as there are books. There are also coin laundries (but we didn't try them). There's also a luggage area where you can store your luggage beyond check out if you need to just go out for some time before your flight. I love everything about this hotel.
