The hotel is so bright and clean. Love the reception & waiting area. Excellent on the free drinks / alcohol/ snacks services at the lounge area for guests to chill and relax from 1pm till 9pm. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and polite. Eventhou is not very near to metro / train station but there is a supermarket just below the hotel and another 24hr supermarket just 20 steps away. Family mart and MOS burger just opposite the hotel as well. 15 - 20 mins walk to Nishiki market and Daimaru, which we think is very convenient. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and we will come back to stay here when we visit kyoto again. Thank you

Super spacious hotel room. We travelled with our baby and even with a cot, there's plenty of space in the room. Very comfortable beds, and the lobby was just relaxing to relax in after a long day. The complementary tea and coffee and cakes during the day was great, the high chairs in the space was super helpful. The location is also great, easy walk down to shops, groceries and food right downstairs (which is amazing for our little one to have snacks).

No onsen, wish they have an onsen! But the bath salts in the bathroom was amazing alternative.

We like it because the hotel is very cozy modern style, very clean, convenient location, room is spacious and they serve excellent breakfast.

Housekeeping was not on time. If we did not request it, they will not do the cleaning on a daily regular basis. Some staff are not english speaking.

We loved this hotel! It was close to shopping, restaurants and bars, and walking distance to markets. Staff were fantastic, and the room was comfortable and a great size. Loved the bonus of their free cultural activities each day and also the free snacks and drinks in the foyer to meet other fellow travellers. Loved that feeling of community and meeting other people from around the world over some Japanese sake after exploring Kyoto all day. Lastly, we loved that there were laundry options and that you could use the facilities and see the live status from your room. It's great for people travelling around for weeks.

We had booked the room for 4 people and therefore they had kept an extra bed in a room with 3 beds prior. After checking in, we found it very congested in operating around and requested the reception to remove it. however, after agreeing, they spoke to the management and denied the removal. Informing us that it is not allowed for more than one person to share a bed when we were already paying for 4 in the room and we were only mother and daughter duos travelling. Luckily, our trip was only for 2 nights in kyoto, so it wasn't too big of a deal, but I found this quite unaccomadting. Other than this, its a cute hotel with convenient shops all around and next door as well.

Not the best of location as it’s 2-3 stops from Kyoto main station and downtown is 15 mins walk. But I understood all these when deciding on which hotel to stay. So no concerns in this aspect

Clean, comfortable and great facility. Location is close to a lot of tourist attractions but not in a crowded street. The late afternoon snack lasts until 8pm and provided a lot of variety. I enjoyed my down time in the cafe after a long day touring around the city.

The room is small. We can barely fully open our luggages. Otherwise I got no complains. I am a picky person but this place is quite exceptional. The tax payment on a separately machine is a bit confusing. But it is the law so make sure you did that before checking out

I like the ease of checking in. Breakfast has a decent selection of items.

The sound from the vehicles outside, the connection of the Tv did not work during my stay even though I have asked the staff to check on it.

We came as a family. Room size, location of the hotel, nice staff, a very large supermarket directly at the hotel as well as many free events and free drinks and snacks in the afternoon were the highlights

Staff is very nice and very helpful. But they can hardly speak English, which can be managed with a translator.... Breakfast buffet was not worth the money and if you don't necessarily like Japanese breakfast style, there are not many options in the buffet

Nice, larger rooms—especially compared to typical Japanese sized rooms. Happy hour was a nice surprise.

Odd check in procedure. It wasn’t your standard desk and they made you juggle through all your bags to find what they wanted. They then made us sit at a table and redo the entire process. Took about 15 minutes before we were given the key to our room. Large king bed was actually two double beds pushed together. Not exactly nice for a couple to be close. Standard hard Japanese mattress.
