Great location for Gion Matsuri (July shrine festival). 30-minute walk to station. The supermarket is 2 doors down with affordable souvenir treats, and the convenient store is basicly across the street for late night snacks and last minute purchases. Great parking option at Boo Boo, just make sure to tell the front desk to communicate the parking attendant so Boo Boo knows what time you will drop off and pick up your car daily- especially if you plan to park or pick up at stranger hours, or if you can't express that in Japanese. Breakfast has lots of options that change daily. Japanese & Western style. Staff speak Japanese & English and are very helpful and friendly. Rooms with 2 beds had plenty of room.

We stayed 4 nights in Kyoto and found hotel MyStays a convenient place to visit the city at our guise. As senior ladies, we mostly took taxis to the various tourist sites as we found them very convenient and affordable. Taxis could easily be hauled from the street right outside. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff very helpful and gracious and made our stay agreable and pleasant. We didn't take the breakfast option as we found it a bit expensive. However, there are many eating options just next to the hotel, specially the supermarket. As we would leave early for our visits it suited us to carry some snacks for the route.

The lifts took quite a long time to come down and had the doors slamming shut precariously quick. Maybe the hotel should look into it for safety reasons.

Very good location wise for metro, bus etc. short walk to nishiki market (900m about 13 min) and „central Kyoto“. Many conbinis and normal supermarkets very near! Free coffee, matcha and tee provided from 6 am to 9 pm (matcha is very very good). Hotel rooms are very spacious and very good divided - even with a lot of luggage you still have enough room :). You also have a bigger window with fly screen which could be opened to let fresh air in.

You have two elevators (did not see any stairs - except for emergency staircase) and sometimes it takes very long until one elevator arrives on ground floor. You also do not see on which level the elevator is when you are on ground floor (1F Japanese or 2F).

We enjoyed our stay here. It is quite near to the train station. Bus station is even nearer. I would consider the room spacious compare to room in other hotel that we stayed in. The staff was very helpful and they speak fluent english. What I like the most about the hotel is that they provided facial wash, toner & moiturizer in small packet. My face get very dry due to the weather. These facial products really helped me alot. There is also plenty eating places around the hotel. There were also 2 super market, 1 is just next to the hotel. It was really convinient.

We booked a room for 3 adults and were impressed! Our room looked exactly like the photo- but was honestly better in person. The view was amazing! Our group was especially excited about the small table and chairs to sit at in our room. We enjoyed the easy access to both bus and subway, and the overall central location of our hotel. The elevator was a bit slow/full at times, but was not a deterrent for us. A nearby laundromat and many eating options were a definite bonus!

Our room's mini-fridge didn't work (we didn't realize that until the last night).

Location: A bit of a walk to the train station (450m, about 8 mins walk) but it's mostly flat streets anyway so we didn't mind at all. Hotel has 1 supermarket on either side (Fresco and Life Supermarket) and a FamilyMart across the street. Location is super convenient for sightseeing, we were near-ish a lot of temples by public transportation. Room: Quite roomy, considering we moved from a really cramped Tokyo budget hotel :) Very clean as well!

The AC doesn't cool very well for some reason? Not sure what the issue is, but it takes a while to cool the room. We're here in the middle of winter and the room gets quite stuffy at 18degC that we need to open a window.

The room was sizeable and beds felt comfortable. The furniture in the room was useful to have tea/lunch and there was also humidifier, which was useful for dry air. Luggage storage available, which is useful. The coffee station is useful.

The first day we checked in we were attended by very rude young female receptionist in glasses, whose name tag was solely in Japanese so regretfully we didn't get her name. She was hostile to us for no reason and we were the only guests checking in at the time. Never have I met such a rude person in Japan. The tea/coffee station only operates until 9PM, after which the staff lock it, which is strange as you may want to have a tea after 9PM when back to the hotel...

Comfortable and nice room with all the amenities we required. Staff helped us arrange our luggage shipping to our next hotel. Transport links were good with a bus stop and metro nearby. The complimentary coffees were a nice bonus! We had an issue with our safe on arrival which the staff were quick to rectify. We were also lucky to have a great view of the city.

The location was on the main road, however we did feel far out from the city centre and Gion which was not ideal for what we wanted.

• The hotel may have been built around 15 years ago, but it has been very well maintained and feels comfortable despite not being brand new. • Everything was perfectly clean, which made for a pleasant and comfortable stay. • The Wi-Fi speed was fast and reliable, perfect for both work and leisure. • The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, ensuring there was something for everyone.

• We were asked to pay a Tourist Stay Tax imposed by Kyoto City per night, which we initially thought was included in the price we paid on Booking.com. It’s important to double-check this when making your booking to avoid surprises.

We were there during the Gion festival & the hotel was right in the middle of it all. Lots of buses run up & down the hotel street with a stops v close to the hotel (though these v were majorly disrupted because of the fesival) & there is a subway train station about 600mt away. Lots of eating places and convenience stores nearby. Loved having access to a free automated coffee machine, which also did hot or cold matcha lattes, green tea, etc. The laundry was reasonably priced - would be good to have a few chairs in there though. The room we had was v comfortable was a reasonable size & well soundproofed.. They also provided a 3 way phone/table charger, which did Apple & Android which was v handy. V helpful staff.

Only 2 lifts so often a bit of a wait. Bedside light only on one side but switch for it on the other side - a pain. Bathroom is a bit small, with shower in bath.
