Deluxe double room. End of April 2025. Spacious enough for 2 large suitcases closed flat on floor and still able to walk around. Clean, well maintained room, comfortable bed and sheets. Cleaning policy is sufficient, especially if you simply dont make a big mess in your room. Towels are provided every morning in bag in front of your door. Extra amenities such as toothbrushes, comb, hair bands, tea/coffee bags are available at all times in the lobby. Free ice cubes and water machine on 2nd floor. Very good breakfast, mixed japanese and Western dishes, refilled constantly by the attentive staff. Pyjama and comfortable slippers provided to wear in the hotel to, for example, go to breakfast or the onsen. Onsen for men and a separate one for women and children. Open till after midnight, so even after a long day you can still go and relax. Washing and drying machines available inside the hotel, money change machines, drink vending machines, foot massage. Very calm atmosphere, eventhough we were there during peak season. Possibility to keep the suitcases under supervision of the reception staff in the lobby after checkout.

The room we had faced another building and so very little light entered, but we were always out the whole day so to us no problem. And the lighting made up for the lack of daylight.

The facilities were great. They have an in-house laundromat which is beneficial and cheap. the public bath was amazing and separated for men and women. If you have tattoos they give you skin stickers to cover them which was really thoughtful. The free amenities such as skin care, hair care and shower caps were great which you can get 24/7 from the front foyer. We were even allowed to check in early which was a plus and they upgraded our room.

location wise is a bit far from tourist hotspots , just be prepared to walk a fair way to most locations if you don't catch public transport.

The hotel is clean and close to the subway station. The staff was kind and tried to help when needed.

We had the room at the third floor and, despite the windows being sound-proof, we could hear a lot of noise coming from the streets - especially during the night (e.g., motorcycles, ambulance, police). Also, the breakfast was mainly Japanese style, with fewer options for continental breakfast and almost no choice for lactose-free customers. We asked for some soy milk to have during our stay but this request was denied. In addition, we discovered the last day that there was a free-of-charge water refiller at the second floor but no-one told us.

It's our second time staying at this hotel, I liked the location (just outside Gojo station on the subway line), breakfast is excellent and reception staff helped with sending our luggage to our next hotel which is always a relief since we tend to buy quite a few things to take home and our suitcases are always heavy If we are ever back in Kyoto (hoping to come back to Japan next year) I'd most likely book this hotel again.

Very nice clean hotel, wonderful customer service & the location is really good. The hotel is close to Seven Eleven & the train station is only 2mins walk away which made travelling so much easier.

My room for a family of 4 was small. I had a double bed & a single bed. Fitting three people on one double bed was really hard. We couldn't move and was very uncomfortable. If the double bed was changed to a King size bed, it would have been better.

Great location for our stay in Kyoto. We had a quad room for 4 adult size people (family traveling with 20 year old and 16 year old kids). A little small but 2 rooms were not available so we made it work. We knew what we were getting ourselves into. We paid for breakfast, which is so nice to have before you leave your hotel for the day. A nice assortment of foods so everyone can find something they like to eat. I love that the drink machine is available throughout the day. And I loved the pajamas they provided. I wish we had taken the time to try the onsen.

POSITION. The hotel is very well served by public transport with which it is easy to reach the imperial palace and the main temples of the city. And, if you want to take an easy walk (walking on flat ground), in about 20 minutes you can reach the train station to the south or some of the main attractions to the north-east (the Gion district, Pontocho street, the Nishiki market) . BREAKFAST: well-assorted buffet, both continental and traditional Japanese. During our five-day stay we alternated between one and the other and never got bored. ROOM: adequately sized for us (2 adults + 2 large suitcases + 2 normal backpacks). We even managed to wash a couple of t-shirts in the bathtub and put them to dry and the room didn't fill up with humidity (which has happened to us elsewhere). STAFF: not everyone speaks English, but with a little effort you can communicate.

Hotel is close to Gojo station- 3 min walk away. It's got a 24-hour supermarket across the road, a 7-11 next door. Best of all eateries nearby, including a Macdonald's. The hotel is updated in design, very well maintained (both common spaces and rooms). Loved the 'welcome drinks' which is at the 1st storey, which guests can help themselves to (hot and drinks dispenser) from 10am onwards until 11pm. Many hotel guests were just chilling out at the 1st storey dining area in the evenings. There's washing machines and dryers on the 2nd floor. And the common bath areas on the 2nd floor too. The room was great. The family room I booked had a larger TV and a smaller one which was great as the smaller one could be used for video games while we watched something else on the larger TV. I would come here again when I come back to Kyoto.

Nothing! I have nothing to fault it. Some might say the hotel is in between Kyoto Station and Shijo (main street), but I personally liked the fact it's accessible to both areas (which is just 1 train stop away really, so no sweat) and yet itself located in a quiet and calm area, which is well-needed I feel after a day's travelling.

Very close to the subway. The rooms are clean and the staff are competent. Check in and left luggage services were a breeze. Breakfast was simple but nice and adequate. There are restaurants near the hotel and it is very close to Shijo-dori by bus. Kamogawa is close by for those who like to go for a morning run.

The hotel is easily accessible from the Gojo subway station. Although the breakfast spread is the almost the same daily, but the quality and taste was excellent. Gives guest a good start of their day before heading out to explore Kyoto.

Yellow light bulb is used for the lighting in the room thus causing a dimmer feel in the room. However, everything else is good.
